I’m late to this video but the 5VZFE has a 14mm drain plug for the cylinder heads on the passenger side of the block. It’s easy to access from the wheel well with long extensions. Draining it after each round of flushing will reduce the total number of rounds you need to do and give a more complete flush. Also a coolant flush gun like the OTC one is great. Power flush with gun and hose (thermostat removed), couple rounds of distilled then drain and fill 👍🏼 Truck looks great, thanks for making content!
In Australia having your tyres wider then the flares your vehicle get defected and fines like crazy. However big fan of the wider agressive tyres. Love all your trucks all the way from Australia
I know you didn’t mention it but also have the heater switch over to hot so the coolant flushers out of the heater core! And just for good practice if I do a full flush and rad change I also change the thermostat with an original part, but you most likely already have changed it earlier,
I did a Volvo electric fan, eBay aluminum shroud and Delta Current Controller to my 3.slow and love it. Less vibration on the power train and you don’t have to hear the fan always running. It’d be neat to see you upgrade the green truck or the runner. 👍🏼
If you want a more aggressive wheel on the 4runner you should run 285's on an 8 wide wheel in my opinion. If you ever go offroading it protects the wheel and you can air down without losing the bead. If you want to do the tundra brake upgrade down the line, you may want to consider getting 17s. I found that brake upgrade to be the best mod I ever did to my 4runner.
Perfect video , these items shown are exactly the things I need to do in my next tuneup on my Hilux V6 3.4 litre ... Which I believe is the same engine as that shown here
If you dont have any record of when the Lower Ball Joints were changed I say do that next before anything else. Even without any play on the lbj itself the 4 bolts that holds it are known to break as well. Looking good so far! Looking forward seeing it with a lift, wheels and tires!
Check out SCS wheels you can get a 16x8 wheel but with 3.5" back spacing! Giving you that wheel poke you want but on a narrower wheel! Plus they are made specifically for Toyota's
Most people recommend 285/70/16s those are 33 inches tall. Stock is 265/70/16, those are roughly 31 inches. Anything over a 35, and you should regear. Personally I recommend 255/85/16, they are .5 inches narrower than stock but they are a true 33inch whereas 285s are like 32.8. 285s will likely rub and you will need to do some massaging and might even need aftermarket upper control arms. They will also kill MPGs. 255s will fit great and either won’t rub at all on a three inch lift or they will just barely nick the uca, even then, after they wear down, they’ll stop rubbing if they even did in the first place, but the biggest plus is they won’t kill mpgs which is great if your wife daily’s it. You will barely even notice them. With the fender flares you have, I’d run 1 inch spacers on the 255 unless you can get an accommodating offset wheel. Just my .2¢
Complete tune up? I didn't see any coil boots being changed. I actually liked the look of it with the big tire on there with no lift. Made it look like an icelandic snow rig.
So, the 3.4 uses those dual electrode plugs because of the wasted spark ignition on those engines. The normal, single electrode, plug will wear twice as fast in one of those engines. That's why those plugs looked like that.
Basically all coolant is the same formulation. The colors they use are just dyes, Green, Blue, Clear, Orange is all the same. Some have bitters in them so children and animals don't drink it. Watch my video on coolants lol
Thank you for your videos, they have help me a lot. I changed the thermostat and radiator, but before I did that I flush the system about 4 times.I have only one issue temperature gauge in dashboard is good but after running it gauge stays a little under halfway but radiator hoses don’t have any pressure. What do you think it might be the issue on not having pressure on hoses?
I have a question. I have a 1992 toyota pickup I just bought with 40,000 original miles on it. It’s the 2wd but I want to lift it. How can I go about doing this?
Man, you wanna do a complete flush you say? Never fully possible without taking the block drain plugs out for the collant. I performed 10 flushes on my 22rte and even after that, when I took out the block coolant plugs, it was still green like brand new 50/50. Even tho my radiator only drained straight water for the past 6 flushes
Yea I was gunna maybe mention that. When I did my bmw, I had to pull my block plug to get the rest of the green out and used water to flush it while the plug was out.
Not only are u a master at welding, painting, fabricating, creating, u are also a master mechanic!!!! Ur beyond talented my guy!!!
So glad I found this channel. I recommend it to my Toyota buddies here on Vancouver island.
Awesome thanks!!

Just got a 3rd gen, so glad I found your channel.
Welcome!

That tire/wheel combo looked fantastic on the Runner! 👍🏼
Your videos are so satisfying to watch.
Thank you!
17x9 is the wheel size you should go with 👍🏽

Great choice on the ome springs. Building a beast!!

Those rims and tires looked so good
Look at 255/85R16. Tall skinny’s look wicked on these 4runners! Basically taller than a 285 but narrower. Will reduce rubbing on lock as well.
I don't know if you were planning on doing it, but some custom step bars would look awesome on this! Looking great though!

Great video once again always keeping us in suspense.
Every video great ideas for our 4runner!!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Great RUclips channel! Informative, intelligent and humble, keep up the great content bro 👌

Im checking these out now! I like them!!
I have green coolant, time for a flush
Great vid brotha. Waiting for you to lift the 4R.

When is new paint job for the runner Austin? keep us posted, great job Man nice designs on your cars, your own personal touch

You should put a supercharger on it! Good video bro.

Stunning
you wont feel the play in the lower ball joints until you take them off
Hey man, your videos are really helpfull. Keep it going like that lml
Glad you like them!

33s should fit fine with 3inch lift. 285/75/16 falken wildpeak AT
Awesome video!
Why didn’t you put a all aluminum radiator?
Do you leave the radiator cap on when you do the flush?
Thank you for your videos, they have help me a lot. If it stays at temp i wouldnt worry much about it unless you see a leak!
Sweet mid day video ... GO AVR
I got 31x10.5 on 15s on my 2nd gen 4runner
I have a question. I have a 1992 toyota pickup I just bought with 40,000 original miles on it. It’s the 2wd but I want to lift it. How can I go about doing this?
If you look back at the green truck video you stated it was 15x8 wheels
These are 16x10
Ok, lets see a moto video of you on the CRF.
Will do soon!! 👍👍
What's up? Where did you get those rims again for the green machine? Really like them.
4 wheel parts!
Do 16/8 method nvs with Yokohama geolander mts 305/70/16 so that you can do the tundra big break swap.
how are those thunderer tires doing? Have you driven on them in the rain ?
No rain, so far they are great! Quiet and balance really well!
great channel bruv
Thank you!
👍

4 flushes with water and running it up to temp gets 90+% of the old coolant out
👏👏👏👏👏
Brazil
Do you know what the offset is for 16x10 steelies?
I do not know!
Cuanto vala la 4runer
You sure that was distilled water? I think it read Drinking Water.
I saw that too.
Actually your cute to sir
I like your style, and well your very handsome
Here in Hawaii we use green coolant for Toyota’s, follow oilykingshawaii on Instagram to see Hawaii’s style Toyota builds, thank you aloha🤙🏽
Oh my Instagram is @emmy.gmfuu
❤👍👍👍👍🌺🌹👍
please don't pour flush water into drain!
You showed the oil filter at the beginning of the video but never saw it going in just saying
