Check the jiggle valve on the thermostat. My Temps before was 200 - 209, checked the jiggle valve. Was on the wrong position, Temps went down to 190 after correcting it. Also doc.offroad has great skids options 😉 😆

You forgot the engine block drain! 😮 it’s on the passenger side behind the front soft fender flap.

OTC makes a flush gun that is awesome and like $50. It pulsates, and let’s you flush both directions. My rear heater core was plugged solid on my 99’ 4Runner to the point I had no rear heater. I power flushed a bunch both ways, main circuit and both heater cores and a new Toyota thermostat with the jiggle pins the right way. The Toyota thermostat was very different in dimensions (diameter flow center) than the aftermarket ones. I can’t help but think that there’s maybe a reason why. For no more expensive than it is, I suggest it’s rolling in a new radiator. I think I only spent 140 on a new radiator. I think my condenser was pretty cheap too like 100 and something bucks. New cooling stack and the whole system power flushed, mine runs nice and cool all the time. Even wheeling last weekend in 98° weather in the mountains on south Idaho the AC still blew nice and cold and the engine and trans were happy.

Crazy the only time not so hot, especially under center console, is on freeway driving... took off wheel spacers and the new geometry sensors in the computer took to make its own changes within its brain. Runs so much smoother even faster, ... axel extenders were 1¾" .... but it doesn't look beefy anymore 😕. Thanks for making this video.

It’s a CAD designed and cnc cut parts. It’s not something that was just throw together in a backyard. It comes down to, do you trust your welding and fabrication skills. Best bet is to weld it all together and install it, trailer it to your local trails and put it through its paces until you feel it’s reliable enough to put your family in it. Seems better than just ditching the hard work you’ve done and throwing money away. That’s just my two cents.

I'd replace the radiator cap. Ended up finding that the end piece of the cap melted away and broke lose and fell inside the radiator which caused my engine to over heat. $13 dollar cap turned into more in parts and repair
