- Hey Fragcomm, what is happening? today it's my pleasure to showcase the brand new DHP 2020 version. this is re launched after they discontinued the 75ml DHP bottles which was released in 2014. this is now 100ml with a retail tag of 150 USD more or less and the highest concentration of Dior Homme Line which is Parfum. Let's see if the fragrance is still the same awesome or any different in terms of smell and performance.

I think this one is exactly the same formula as the old one. Perhaps, the minuscule difference on the top note comes from the fact that the old bottle has lost a bit of an edge in it now.

I tought the Parfum was discontinued, but it looks they saved the parfum in production, same as DH Intense. And with the same recepies as their ancestors! It is good to keep all the variations in your collection, they are all different pros and cons in their nature. And they all have enormous potential to be part of layering different fragrances!
The new parfum layered with intense is the best fragrance i ever experienced, on its own it is very good when you don't want something too sweet, it gets an 11/10 from me. My best buy of 2020.

Joy is so relatable as a reviewer. He's got 3 partial bottles of DHI (which I guess he picked up from FB groups when they came up at good prices). No fancy sets, no thousand dollar bottles, just endless love for fragrances

Just discovered this gem this year. It's simply incredible, the quality matches that of a $600-1200 fragrance.
I was wondering where the other reviews of this new relaunch were and while looking checked on the UK Dior site saw some reviews on the UK site of Dior, and one of the newer reviews (5 days ago) has said the formulation is changed, compared to the 75ml and he complained about the performance and longevity... i'll check for some more reviews but hopefully they haven't done what I thought they would do and water the fragrance down while offering "more" in a way of tricking newer customers who haven't smelt what the original has smelt like. A lot of the 5 star reviews tend to be from new customers whereas the lower starred reviews tend to be from customers who already know what it's supposed to smell like and how long it has lasted and I'm guessing wanted to try the 100ml bottle, as of now I think a lot of the people who bought the 75 ml's in a rush aren't the ones who are going to look like they've had egg on their face like people said before. (update) I also checked the french the site and even though again most people are content they still have doubts that it hasn't been reformulated due to difference in longevity and projection compared to bottles they've owned previously
Joy i'm a great fan of Dior,its officially designer but quality is niche even better than some said" niche" fragrances.
9K1E is the batch code NOT the formula code so that doesn't answer everyone's question, that only tells us when your bottle was made....please tell us what the FORMULA CODE is on your box, please....that will tell us if they changed the formula and reformulated the 2020 version.

Formula code is the same. When looking for DHP vintage you want to look at batch code of series 8 or less

I have Dior Homme Original, Sport 2021 and Parfum 2022. And I can honestly say I prefer the original.
Does your parfum 22 have the bee logo inside of the cap ?
I also use dior Homme Parfum for the summer, but the secret is take 1-2 spritzes + dior homme 2020 add 2 spritzes then you can easily wear it and that also in summer! and yes the quality is the king of scents I perfumed myself in the elevator in the morning and in the evening the scent was so strong in the elevator that I briefly thought who has such a good scent here 😂 yes, the king of scents 😉

JOY. WE DONT NEED THE BATCH CODE. WE NEED THE FORMULATION CODE. IT SHOULD BE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX AND LOOKS SOMETHING LIKE THIS. N'08642/A is the formula code of the old version. 👍

Batch codes are always keeping changing based on the year and month (the production date). Even if your new bottle have different batch code that does not mean different formula which can still be the same. The current batch codes of DHP are different than what you mentioned as it reflects the production year e.g. my DHP has 1B01 batch code which represents it is produced in Feb 2021. I think key thing is to check Formula code on the box if it is same or not for 75ml & 100ml?

Thank you Joy for the review. Yes you are probably the first as I have searched everywhere to see anything about Dior Homme Parfum 100ml! Only on Dior's website at €127. I did not want to buy unless it's exactly as DHP 75ml. I live two hours away from Paris and hadn't had yet an opportunity to visit Dior boutique to smell it. Didn't like the new Dior Homme, so better smell DHP 2020 first before buying.
Now that you are confirming DHP 75 and 100 smell just the "same", I will order it based on that.
I just ordered another backup of the 75ml, just in case... Cheers and keep it up brother.

Still OK, but different from the old, beautiful, velvety, long lasting 75 ml. The formula written on the box is, in my case, the same - it will be for sure not the same for a long time starting now - but something hapenned in the structure of the scent or in the ingredients... 2020 100 ml it is NOT the same.
I love DHP and have 2 bottles of the 75 ml shame it's not really readily available in the US. Good to see Dior didn't discontinue it and increased the bottle size up to 100ml. I have a 2014-2015 DHP and I bought my second bottle in 2020 and definitely can say that the juice is lighter in the 2019 bottle. Not sure if that's due to the maceration of the 2014 bottle, but I can probably say they probably watered it down. Considering Dior's track record with DHI and how it's been watered down. I still love them both and they will always have a spot in my collection.

It’s only natural when you are comparing a bottle which has matured for 5 years longer. All 75ml bottles are the same , I have 3 different bottles .

I have a new 100 ml. bottle with batch 1f01. The aroma and presentation are no different from my old 75ml bottle. This is practically the same perfume.
What about performance ? Still beastly ?

Has anyone else found it weird its been months since the whole relaunching of the dior homme 2020 lines and theres only been one review made on Dior Homme Parfum by someone??? Maybe coronavirus affected a lot but still you'd think people would have been rushing to test/review dior homme parfum like they had the other new dior homme 2020 and the Intense one. Or have they just discontinued it overall the whole of dior homme parfum?

75 ml bottles last 24 hrs and if it smells fresher to you, then to me, it sounds reformulated....what is the formula code on the box, not batch code, that will tell us for sure if it's been reformulated.....from your description, it sounds reformulated to me...
If you want to know I have a 75ml that is a 9k01 batch and I have also seen the new 100ml with the same formula number. The 75ml got reformulated and had a limited run in that bottle. The batch was then put into the 100ml bottles. I do also have the 8 series batch and it's smells much darker. So yes it did get reformulated but not as of the 2020 it's was actually reformulated in 2018/19. Hope that helps

@@regalkismet yh the code on my ones is 9k01 but I does vary however all the variations i have seen are 9ks and most also include a 1. The same was done with DHI same batch code different bottle.
@@regalkismet they're both beasts. Easily 24+. The smells are slightly different. The opening of the 8 has a more dirty orange vibe where as the newer one it's toned down and you get a bit more rose. Also the 9 series has a brighter creamy iris and combined with the sandalwood it smells extremely smooth however it's at the sacrifice of the earthy feel and darkness of the oud slightly. Both worth your money.
They need to get this stuff more available, you can't find it at all in the US.

Hey joy your bottle is probably a fake. Dior doesn’t have stickers on the bottom. It should be etched into the glass.

I have a 100ml that I bought now in Aug 2020.
Its definitely not the 2 sprays projection beast monster people are talking about.
It s projects okayish for 1h I cz' even wear it now in mild summer at home.
And it definitely doesn't last 24h on skin. 4h max and this is not by digging my nose in my skin

Dior homme parfume or layton , layton exclusive from PDM?
I know that they could not be compared side by side but am only asking about which has a better performance
I own Dior Homme Parfum and Layton Exclisif. I'd say they are both beast mode. Layton Exclusif is a bit fresher and you could pull it off in warmer weather. Dior Homme Parfum is heavier (leather/ powder) if that makes sense. With that being said, I wear what I want when I want. I don't care about the weather. Where I live it's warm all year around.

I can't find the answer anywhere to the problem I might potentially face with this perfume. The question I have is how can I (or anyone) use the juice in full from this bottle ? I mean look at the gap between the nozzle (inside the bottle) and the glass at the bottom of the bottle, it's like 1 cm gap. How would you suggest to use the last 1 cm of juice in the bottle ? :D

Joy Amin, what do you think about the new 2020 version of Dior homme intense? also, is it a blind buy? i cant try it because of the virus outside.
I have it. They made it a little bit more day to day perfume by pulling down the iris note a little bit. It is more fresher and I feel like the 2020 is a bit watered down. But after 5-10 mins there is hardly any any difference between the two.

I don't think anyone has talked about discontinuation. They put it up with new bottle design on the Dior website a while back. The only question has been whether it will be reformulated or not, and exactly where it will be sold since some have said it will only be sold in Paris from now on.

The new 2020 version does not have the bee symbol inside the cap, unfortunately.
Your problem is u like every thing.
Joy I think you read off the batch code, that doesn't really tell you of it has been changed. Look at the ingredients list on the back of the box there will be another number likely near the end of the ingredients, that is the formula code that is how you know if the formula has been changed. Compare it to the one on your 75ml formula code, if its different the formula is different.
On my bottle, formula is the same as in the 75 ml case. Curiously, in my nose (and not just in mine) the perfume is changed. Even if the formula is the same, the ingredients are making the diference. Less quality or other sources, God knows. For sure is less quality, less potent and an expreienced nose will find the differences starting very first seconds. Still nice, but it can t defeat the old 75 ml formulation.

@@anitaibrahim9512 Hi Anita, yes, indeed, but only for the last botle produced - iuly, august and september 2019, the last moths when 75 ml wwas produced. All the 2019 bottles produced in the first part of the year are same as 2018. Starting october 2019, the 75 ml bottle was removed from production and then started the 100 ml bottle and NEW formulation....even though the formula is still the same on the new pack... Nice trick from Dior and yes, the 100 ml is different in a bad way, ingredients, sillage and longevity. period. Stay healthy! xoxo

Seems reformulated somewhat. Not like it matters. Dior knows Homme fanboys gonna buy it regardless.
It was definitely reformulated. The ingredients ar eless quality because comparing both - 75 and 100 ml editions (available in Rome airport btw) I got more fresher, airy formula in the new 2020 edition, less depth and less complexity like in the old editions. The formula code is the same on the box BUT the result is definitely not the same even though they smell less or more close one to another. The colour of the juise is lighter in the new formulation, the iris and leather not as sophisticated, velvety and strong as in the 75 ml. All in all, is still a good product, but definitely not the same.
It's the exact same formulation. Don't spread rumors.

I've been looking for the old DHP. A while back it was still readily available online in Europe, but they really seem to have dissappeared now
Even in the states, I saw bottles being sold on a discount site but they quickly sold out within a couple days

I don't understand this formula talk after he's explained how it smells the same the only suspicion is how he says it smells a bit fresher in the opening. Formula code schmormula get your hands on a sample and smell it yourself on your own skin if it's so important to you. To my nose , I smell the new 100 ml is totally different than the old one specially at the opening, slightly different in the middle (similarity 80%) to the old one and in the dry down 90% similarity. In the opening, the gorgeous oud note was disappeared.
In the performance, (the new DHP is not beast mode at all)
the new one 100ml is 35% less than the old version. the new version has less than 8 hours longevity and maximum 3 hours projection while the old one 24+ longevity and 4+ hours projection.
In the scent, the new version is missed the depth, it becomes simple or normal fragrance. It depends on three elements only (wood, iris and leather) and become more wearable while the old version 75 ml has more depth and more notes in addition to the new one notes such as powder, cream, rose, leather and oud.
The blend itself in old version 75ml is so rich like high end nishe quality and has more concentration however the new version is definitely watered down then lost lots of its distinguish in the scent itself and performance sides.
In easy way, The new DHP version is in somewhere between Dior Home Intense and Old Dior Home Parfum 75 ml
To sum up, ithe new version is the diet version of the old DHP.
Note: although all reviews said DHP 100 ml has reformulated but Dior still insist on writing the same number of formula.

try roberto capucci for him to me smells like DHP and Gucci pour homme and you can get some oud in there and the longevity 10 plus hours

Phew, since the new one is just more or less juice than my 75 ml bottle no need to buy this one. And since my small bottle is potent no need for extra juice it will last a long time.
Without knowing the Formula code this could be a weaker and difficult formula than what comes in the 75 ml bottles....all Joy gave was the batch code which tells you when his bottle was made, not what formula is in the bottle....we need the formula code to compare to 75 ml bottles....
Pillar releases haven’t gotten any less frequent (look at Chanel and Dior’s history; how many years did it take for Armani to put out an Acqua di Gio flanker?) but you now have flankers to fill in the gaps. How short have our attention spans become?!?
