I FINALLY DUNNIT! I one life cleared a Metal Slug game's Final Mission under Arcade Mode, on Level 8, as Tarma! I swear, this is probably the best moment of my life... okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but still, I feel proud that I am the first and only person to one life clear the game under these conditions as Tarma, at least, in my knowledge.
This stage is everything a Final Mission should be. SNKP really outdid themselves here in my opinion. It's long, hard, has a lot of variety of situations, and most importantly, the weapons to deal with them so no one can complain. But at the same time, the stage itself is hard as balls, even with all the weapons, sometimes bordering on unfair. Of course, with all these weapons to choose from, it's also a headache deciding what to bring and where to use them all. I didn't do a good job with my grenades, but the Shotgun probably needs a bit of allowance as it is easy to miss against its intended targets. I also love the prisoner's names, if you can read Japanese, despite them being so slow to acknowledge you in the stages. There are even some named "Papapa" and "Popu". Man... the Metal Slug humour.
I want to thank Bestow5000 for giving me tips and advice on clearing this stage, despite him not having played this game for himself, and because he suggested VirtualDub to fix my desynchronised audio, which is a first. I also want to thank ReverseInReverse for being so patient with me while giving me more tips to make VirtualDub work. Here are both of their channels, and they both upload Metal Slug content:

This brings back good memories... of yelling in frustration and dancing with joy, whenever I died or finished a mission.
This is only what I read, but "The Venusian Queen essentially consisted of the entire room of that fight in its first form, but destroying her stasis chamber disconnected her (You can see the links from her ovaries severed on her pelvis). Basically, the chamber itself was a massive womb. The Venusians are basically babies she had bred according to different evolutionary designs. Supposedly, the whole asteroid process is designed to spread Venusian life to other planets."

In the English version, the Mars People POW's names were various mixes of "po" and "pi".
1 year late but in case you're curious, the Japanese version is also that, just in katakana.

Actually, if you give him enough time, he can break it. It's something I try to avoid, or I'll have to do a long winded method of obtaining those Grenades at the top platform.
Also, running past them saves time and ammo, hence why I ran past whatever doesn't threaten me nor lock the screen. And, yeah, admittedly I did a bad job at finding targets for my grenades. Thanks for your feedback and compliment!

This is one of my favorite metal slug final missions, whit ms1 final mission and ms3 final mission, there is only one thing i dislike about this mission, and thats the music, i really dont think it really fits, they could have used themes like "first contact" or "assault theme" but aside from that, its a great mission, i also love the fight whit Allen's equivalent in this game, but i really think it could have been harder than that.

You know what this mission needed? One minor change to make it look a bot more interesting? Rebel army POWs.
This is because Venutians either killed or mind controlled humans to make them figth you, they had no other use for them, but Martians are different because Venusians EAT THEM, more than POWs, they were food waiting to be eaten

This is undoubtably my favorite Metal Slug game. Metal Slug 7 was good, just that there were only 2 good boss fights, the music and sounds weren't as good as other games, and it just wasn't as fun in general as some other installments. Metal Slug 6 was long and it had plenty more aliens, but thats what makes it stand out amongst the other Nazi enemy filled games.
They should've kept the music from the beginning rolling and it would've been perfect.

I ngl was pissed back in the day that the Rebel soldiers in the first portion are pretty useless outside of those who wielded miniguns lol. The regular infantry just throws grenades. Some are shown to parachute down with rocket launchers but they don't even use them. Hell, they even paradropped tanks lol

Pero tienes que jugar modo hard para ir a esta mision final, el unico error que cometes es que estas jugando el modo "easy" y por eso no te sale la mision final

Este y metal slug 4, en mi opinión son las más fáciles. Yo los terminó sin perder ni una vida. Se me complica un poco con rootmars, donde a los máximo pierdo 2 de las 3 vidas, que te da el juego.
Juega en la PS2 y ponle modo difícil 1 vida, y recién hablas
