Are the straps "universal" or are they fitted to work only with right and left hands specifically? What I mean is, can I buy a pair with a friend so we can carry one pole each, and both use a pole with our right hand?
They are designated R and L, but the straps are fine for either hand. Splitting a pair between 2 hikers is fairly common
I recently got these and noticed that the upper flick lock on both poles,when closed, still allows poles to slide down from the desired height. Is this a defect? Or is there a way to tighten the lock?
Hi Kendylsue! Most external locks have a small gear wheel that allows the locking mechanisms itself to be tightened or loosened; too loose and the poles will slide through the lock, too tight and the lock won't close properly. Metal expands and contracts, so it may be necessary to make those microadjustments periodically.
Is the carbon laid by rolled or pultrusion method?

Can this trekking pole be divided into three sections?
Hi Gabriel, this type of pole is only intended to be collapsed for storage or attaching to your pack. We would recommend looking at a Z-Style trekking pole like the Distance Carbon Z which folds into three sections for compact storage. Can these be set to any custom length?
