The downloads have been fixed and should ALL be working PERFECTLY now. It turns out that Google Drive doesn't like .RAR files, and that's why they were being flagged. Not to worry! We've replaced the compression method with 7zip. great guide. I do have one question. Id like to be able to make spell casting cost no reagents, any idea how I would do this? Thanks for the amazing video!
That's a tough one, because the only way I I've ever been able to get No Reagant Spell Casting to work is by using an Arcane Robe and setting the charges to like 9999 or something. You're supposed to be able to do it by using the Lower Reagant Cost skill but it never works for me.

First off thank you so much. Works like a Charm., i do how ever have a basic info question, i see the power scrolls , stat scrolls, was there a Skill scroll implemented?
Thank you for your comments. I don't think there was a skill system implemented other than the normal skill and Stat scrolls. My team and I always figured the Daat99 ore wood and leather systems worked those skills up faster than normal UO (i.e. No more need for Power Hour) and the rest of the skills are pretty easy to work up, so there was really no need. By all means, anything you guys want to add and remove from this server package to suit your needs, go for it. There was even someone who dudn't care for the Stargate system believe it or not. I guess people don't like an easier way to travel LOL! The RunUO community still has archives of scripts that still work. The problem may be getting everything to work together. That's why I've done everything for you with this server howto. Just if you add anything I'm unfamiliar with, I won't be able to help you. I can only help with the systems thst are currently in this package, since it's what I've run for years.
@@wftpradiogamer Thank you, ya i used to run a Shard back in the day, Lost Realmers, on sphereserver. So trying to find the actual script etc is a pain but its manageable. so far no complaints on what you all have in here and running. The only thing would ideally like to find is a Client that can run this in full screen and not in the 800x600 etc.
@@d.b.6779 I don't know of any. When I ran a RunUO 1.0 server I defaulted it to use client v5.0.9.1 which was the last version to use the 3D client, and that was AWESOME! I MISS the 3D client!

23rd line down. private static int MaxAccountsPerIP = 1; switch out 1 with what ever number.
That's another way. But that handler will malfunction if you don't set it to the correct number of accounts you actually have on the system. That's why we do it the other way. Because the Account Handler malfunctioned sometimes when we changed the value, even to the correct number of accounts, so it's better to just leave it at 1 and add accounts manually. It doesn't really function properly anyway I've noticed. Because even when it's set to 1, you can still create at least 2 accounts per IP without changing anything.

This is an ongoing issue unfortunately. I'm having difficulty finding a good file hosting service for the files that has very little restrictions. Unfortunately I have enemies who like to falsely report my links as questionable. There is a pinned comment with instructions on how to download the files from the original Google Code project, which are still working.

@@lucasbird6367 the only other way I know of downloading the files is by searching RunUO 2.0 Final Re-Pack on Google. It'll take you to the original post on RunUO's Archive. There are download links there that should get you what you need. Everything but the Ultima Online client.

First things first, thanks allot! Second, i'm trying this, but with the AoS-expension. Works great BUT, always a but... after +- 20 seconds i got kicked out / disconnected. Tried to log back in, but now the screen is "freezing" after i clicked on the char "Administrator" and opening the world/game. Any idea how to solve this problem?
Update: got it running, kinda... It does not load the AoS map, but the New Haven style? Strange
Sounds like you're having an issue with the client encryption. Even though this server has the capability of using encrypted clients, it's kinda broken because we haven't added anymore encryption keys to the database. There haven't been any new ones for years. Make sure all connections to the server are done with "Patch Client Encryption" ENABLED. Also, check your server window and find out why you're being disconnected. It should tell you.

Quick question on skill caps - do you know how to adjust this? I've tried changing the value for "m.SkillsCap" in CharacterCreation.cs, though it does nothing. When I test this, I change the value, restart the server, and make a new character each time. No dice. Skill cap stays at 700 regardless of what value I have set.
You do that with the [global set command. If I remember correctly it's [global set skillscap 70000 add a couple more zeros at the end or change it to whatever value you want. You don't have to restart the server after this because it's a value you will have to keep setting every time you get new players because it sets it globally on all players in the database. I would suggest doing it once a week. I've never been able to get the skill cap to change by editing the script. It's a read only value I believe. Every time you get new players you'll have to keep using that command, because it's a value set on all players in the database.

I don't know about Pandora's Box, but whenever my staff and I wanted to create static walls or steps and put the pieces in our packs, all we had to do was add them to the ground, make them movable and pick them up and oput them in our packs. That's how we built things. We put what we needed in our packs and made dupes of them, placed them on the ground and made them non movable again.
Thanks For the files and guide! Question, so I installed/configured it, created a 2nd user(non-admin/normal player) and it was working fine for a few days but now there seems to be a bug, no monsters will attack me back. I did kill one of my pets and now I'm flagged as grey not that I think that should have anything to do with it... but if you have an idea of the problem is ,thanks.
Thank you for your comment. If I remember correctly, when you first start out as a new player, you start with (Young) status. So no monsters will actively kill you while you're a Young player. You can do 1 of 2 things. 1. Work up a skill or 2 [I suggest a fighting skill) and just go around attacking random animals (have lots of bandages) and your Young status will eventually remove itself after a skill is worked up a little. Or 2. You can get on your Administrstor and set the Player's Young status to False 😁

So looks it wasn't because I was young anymore but my account type was set as 'owner' not 'player' and after I got killed it I guess 'owner' accounts typically aren't attacked? Either way... fixed. Another question if you happen to know... is there a way to increase cap levels for skills(default 700) and stat cap believed to be 225. Haven't been able to find option under admin account.
@@evsidewinder2I have answered this before. It's a simple fix, but every so often you will have to manually use the following commands to globally set all skill and Stat caps. The command is [global set skillscap where player for skills and [global set statscap where player for the stats. I tried to get this done in the scripts when players are first created, but it didn't work, so every week or so, I would use those commands.

I am very new to Ultima Online so please forgive me if this is a noob question - How do I get out of the undead area with the zombies and skeletons? I created a player account to experience the game but I can't seem to get out of this area. I tried Googling it and I think there's supposed to be a Moongate or something in this tower here but nothing is there. There are 3 NPCs by the docks offering escort quests but I can't take them anywhere. I would greatly appreciate any help!
I have no clue where you are. I'm one of those "Hey let's go and mine and walk around with a pack horse" kinda players. There is hope though. When I explore and get lost, I use the Stuck Charscter option in the Help menu. Also, you can log into the Administrstor account and pull your player to his location.

I never noticed it, but it's possible the interface uses that to distinguish Quest givers from normal NPCs

This version of the server is running on RunUO 2.0 Final. As I understand it, at the time I put this server and all the scripts together that I could find and make work together, some quest NPC's may not all be in the game. Especially Heartwood. I believe you can go there, but I don't think it's even spawned because from what I am able to gather, 2.0 Final was the last version of RunUO before the developers shut the project down. Their forum is still online, but most of the help and script sections are archived last time I checked, their site said something better was coming, but what that is, I have no clue. Because this is an emulator, things are close, but not right on the money. Hope this info helps. You can always go to RunUO.com for the latest info. The site says RunUO is coming back in 2021, but it's 2022 now, so I don't know what else to tell ya, sorry.
great, so i was tooling around, and acidentally (apparently) deleted my staff runebook how do i retreive it?
For that kind of thing, I would suggest restoring a backup of the accounts folder. The server automatically makes backups of everything every so often, and restoring the backups folder would fix that. Be careful with what you delete, because I don't know how to fix everything, I'm just the genius who threw this together. Making it all work is another story 😀
also, been looking at guides, and double clicking to attack isnt working even in warmode...wth...?!
If you're trying to use your Administrator to attack, you can't unless you turn off his invincibility in [props. Otherwise create a normal player account for attacking.
I discovered the problem... You probably received an email from Google informing you that your hosted file may contain a virus, and if you think there is no virus in your file, you should just click on the link and request an analysis from them that they should release the file for download again, this should fix the problem. Thankx.
I did this many times, and they're either ignoring my requests or are incredibly busy. I've been waiting for months for them to release the downloads. The fact that they're still locked tells me they don't care.
Super noob question but once I have it all up and running....how can I spawn items? ie:full spellbook or what not?
For spell books, do [add SpellBook and then do [AllSpells and target the book to fill it. (You guys are lucky.. Before I learned this, I was going around and collecting every spell manually and adding them to the book LOL!) Also, you can do the same thing with Xanthos SpellCrafting system and use [AllCrafts and target the book to fill the spell crafting book. (Before I learned of this command, I was also going out and farming the Master of spell crafts hundreds of times to fill the book.)

@@bubblephobiaoftheshire Not sure about that one. This system uses Premium Spawner. ArteGordon's XML Spawner is included in this repack if you wanna mess with it, but I never use it. For creating a spawn point, all I did was edit the scripts that placed all new players in Britain and I changed the spawn point location. Just remember if you change the scripts, the server will have to restart and recompile.

Custom building is done through adding statics. For instance you can grab the item ID of a wall and [add it. Then you make use of the [freeze command. Just remember that a server full of custom added statics can be real laggy unless you freeze your statics. Then that's where you have to make sure your players have the same data files as your server. When you freeze things, they disappear until you load the new data into the client. There's all kinds of documentation available on custom building and freezing in RunUO on the web via search, but that's how it's done. I would suggest using this server as a template, and building your own from there.

@@HCKALEVI I'm not sure what pandoram is. But there is also a script somewhere in the RunUO archives (but I forget what it's called) that allows you to turn structures that you build into addon scripts to be placed on the server, then you restart the server and you have it in the game and can add it like you add a house using the house placement tool. Years ago I used this method with my old RunUO 1.0 server, and once the addon scripts we created were added to the server and it was restarted, we would then freeze the structures and send our data files to the players and they'd be connected to our fully customized server. Was quite nice.

i am trying to understand how to return from death in here, i seem to appear in a cemetery where i can get help from a healer but seem to not be able to escape it once alive... i remember becoming a ghost of myself where i had died in previous versions of the game but its been a while, any help in understanding how to proceed or remove the spawn as ghost in cemetery function serverside would be amazing
That's really weird. Any time I died, I always appeared as a ghost right where I was killed. In any case, the HELP system has a function for resurrecting you. Just leave the graveyard when you're a ghost, and use the help system to resurrect.

@@spybot6817 if you're using your Administrator character you should be able to use the system commands to send yourself to a random location. Like try [go Britain and it should send you to Britain
ok, so I followed your instructions and everything worked fine. The problem is that after about 5 seconds, the Administrator client gets disconnected. Any ideas why? The client itself stops responding and closes.
That's a new one. Don't think that's ever happened before. Far as I know, everything in the package works, no problems like this have been reported. Could have something to do with client encryption. It ain't an exact science, sometimes I get thrown off the server due to encrypted client when I play the full screen thing using ClassicUO Launcher. Or maybe your Administrator is wearing something the server doesn't like? Maybe you're in an area where there's an ambiguous item or something on the ground that causes the client to crash? What does the server window say about your client being disconnected when it happens? Maybe make sure the computer the server is being run on is fairly fast. At least dual core. Or I think it runs best if you run the server on a separate machine from the computer you play on if you can. I run the server on a quad core desktop machine and connect to it from my gaming laptop.

You should remind people that the code in all emulators is just that, an emulator. It is not based in any way on the real server code, it is simply what they think it should be (because the real server source code is not public domain obviously). In other words it is all guesswork, the loot tables, the combat code, the mobs, everything is all based on what the emu devs *think* it is. Not saying this is a bad thing, but don't think any of the emulators will actually run exactly like the original. To some this might be a GOOD thing though, perhaps the EMU combat system is better than stock ;)
Like I said, this is the CLOSEST to an Ultima Online Mondain's Legacy server that people can come to without actually having to pay Origin for the game. The combat systems in this emulator are actually better and more fun than the real thing. I've played the pay servers. They suck compared to the emulators. Too much crap you gotta do to make this and that work. Thank you for your comment :)
@@wftpradiogamer I played the real servers since 1997 (still have the account). A few years ago I played one of the popular player shards and found it buggy as hell and a lot of cheating (friends of the server owner). I remember when ServUO came out, didn't even have 1/10th of the functionality (no doors for example, and broken spawns). I had no problem finding people, and that was on the GL server which is much lower than ATL on the official servers.
At one time I ran my own server because I was into the programming aspect (I am a C++/C/C# retired developer with over 40 years experience in commercial games and application development, so it was no challenge). It was a fun way to pass the time, but now I just want to login and play without the BS that comes with these player shards. Besides, $10 or $12 a month is chump change. I still subscribe to Everquest too, played that since 1999. Refuse to play the P99 trash for the same reasons.
Is there a way to get a Clean RUNUO 2.0 without all the custom mods? I'm attempting to remove things and just slowly compiling more and more errors. Lol
You might try a search for any downloads for RunUO 2.0 Final. There may be some out there somewhere. The reason you're coming up with errors, is because this download was designed to work WITH the mods. If you remove the ones that changed the distro files, such as daat99's systems, and a lot of the other custom mods, it breaks the server.
Can't seem to make it past Verifying. Having "Patch Client Encrypted" enabled results in "Encrypted client detected, disconnecting". If i remove that check box, but still leave "Use OSI Encryption" then i receive Connected but it hangs on Verifying and ultimately times out. Removing both checks results in Online but, again, hangs at verifying and ultimately times out. I have firewall turned off and i get the same results with a local host vs. using my public IP. Initially Public IP wouldn't connect until i added in port forwarding. Once that was live, same results were yielded, Online (1) but client stuck on verifying. did i miss a step?
I don't get it. Sounds like you did everything according to the video, but it makes no sense that you're still having problems. Maybe try deleting and uninstalling everything and start again from step 1. Even try redownloading the files.
@@wftpradiogamer Not really sure what was different but complete wipe and re-install it works fine. I have a bit to read up on in regards to server edits but one thing i noticed immediately is that render difference was significantly smaller than when i played on official. I normally forced Razor to 1920 x 1080 and there did not seem to be an issue. I am assuming that, since i am running this on my machine right now, and also have two ark servers running simultaneously, that it is possibly a resource issue on my end. Just wanted to make sure it was not a setting somewhere. i reduced the window size force to 1360x768 and the play window is fine, just some black squares that dont render like im used to. Maybe it is client updates after this as well, b.c i think the play window is resizable in official. not sure. Any case, sorry to ramble and thanks for the help!
I'm glad it's working. And I don't know about your resizing issue. Back when I played I could never get the gameplay window any larger than 800x600. I use ClassicUO Launcher and play the game in full screen now.

Any advice on why I can't place boats from a deed, and also why when spawning in a powerscroll book it appears as some sort of plant and will crash the server if I move it to my backpack.
The place boat gump seems to be missing a bunch of info.
The server starts and runs just fine, but there seems to be a lot of things that are just busted.
I just uncompressed the files and started everything up and the boat deeds appear to be working fine. As for the power scroll book, I've never used it, so I didn't know there were issues. Graphic issues and crashes usually happen when the client is doing something the server doesn't like. It may be trying to use a graphic from a different client that may not be available in the client you're using. As far as I know, if everything is done how I explained, with the client version suggested, I test this stuff every day and it appears to be working on my end. Unfortunately unless everything I provided is used, there's no way for me to figure out issues. I use the software I provided in the video. Other people prefer to do their own thing. Like I said, this videp is scheduled to be redone in the near future. I'm just trying to find a decent file hosting service with little to no restrictions on file size and downloads. But the only thing the new video will include really is better download links. How to set everything up will be the same. There's no other way to do it with RunUO.
Not sure what Im doing wrong but im going nuts, cant even join in local host. I can join on the same pc Im running the server, but no other. Also can this server use the + to skill scrolls? And if so where can I find them to add them to my bag?
When you are trying to join the server from another machine, make sure you add the server machine's IP address to your router's firewall and if you use Windows firewall, make sure to allow the proper program access to RunUO. The +skill scrolls are Power Scrolls. The command to add those is real complex. I never bothered to learn it for that reason.. I always found it way easier to use 6 fully trained evolution mercenaries and do Champion Spawns to get the power scrolls, but if you're looking to just increase your skills to jump into battle instead of working your skills up slowly the [setallskills command is good for that.

@@team_irish01 that's odd. [Admin always works on the Administrator character on the Administrator account unless you change the access to Player. In which case it's just easier to re-install the server to restore it to it's original state. As for the power scrolls, the only way I know to get them is by doing champion spawns. The command for adding power scrolls was always confusing to me, so I never learned it. I only got as far as adding runic smithy hammers and treasure maps and those message in a bottle thingies.

@@team_irish01 Oh, my bad. What you do for making more Administrators is from the main Administrator account, from the [Admin menu, go to ACCOUNT LIST on the left, then at the top right click ADD and add your accounts as necessary. Go back to account list and you can individually change each new account's access level between Owner and Player. For name changing, the short way is [set name "Name" or to change ANY properties on a character, do [Props and target the character.
i followed every step but i have no backpack is there a way to fix this?
Sure. Add a backpack to the ground and pick it up and drag it onto your character paper doll. It happens sometimes. Make sure you LOCK the backpack to your paper doll afterwards so it'll stay there after you log out. I don't know how your character ended up without one, but that's how you fix it :)
set up part 2 keeps giving me an error when I extract. Any ideas?
Should be fine, there's like hundreds of downloads for the files on the counter in Google Drive and there have been no other reports. Are you using WinRAR to extract? I find sometimes that if you use the same program to extract the file that was used to create it, you minimize incompatibilities. It happens to me sometimes with 7zip when I try to use WinRAR to extract 7zip files, even though WinRAR says it supports extraction of 7zip files. That's why I don't use it anymore.
Any way to use 3d client...or larger play area ?

Windows 7 Ultimate. I've found it runs more stable. I haven't had any crashes at all.

Through the Administration menu. Type [admin and I believe it's in Accounts. It allows you to create as many as you want.

"Closest Thing to Mondain's Legacy" - Has a stargate...
When the server was first designed it was decided that it needed a simple travel system. I'm a big fan of Stargate, so I threw it in. Stargate or not, it's STILL the closest you can come to a half way decent working Mondain's Legacy server. The only thing missing are the quests in Hartwood. If you don't want the Stargate system, simply remove it from the Scripts folder.
How do you change the screen size or do you have to use the default? I would like to use 1920x1080 if possible/
Unfortunately Mondain's Legacy is a much older game client, only capable of 640x480 or 800x600, before HD monitors came out, and 1920x1080 is an HD quality. I have seen apps that might allow you to modify the game to make it appear in larger screen sizes, but they make it crash a lot. You can run the game in full screen mode, but the actual size of the game window itself only goes up to 800x600.

I figured it out as long as you don't enable full screen it will allow you to set your desktop resolution. Anyway to get rid of the black fog? I can't seem to find it and places I have visited it still comes back.
@@russt9395 sounds like you're talking about nightsight. Put nightsight on a helmet and wear it, that should help

All depends on what you need. And it may appear that i' m really good at scripting, that's only because I looked at hundreds of other scripts and learned a lot about how they work and how to make them do what I want somewhat. If you're looking for a total professional scripter, i' m not it, cause all I do is take other scripts and edit them to make them do what I want. Plus I haven't run a server in years, so i' m sorta a little outta practice. All that asside i' m willing to give it a try :)

@@ricknroll9284 I'm afraid that's way outta my league. Like I said, I only have experience editing other scripts and getting them to do what I want. Writing completely new scripts to make algorithms work is way beyond my knowledge. I wouldn't know where to start. Everything in my server here is comprised of other people's systems, I just made em all work together by using a text merging program and went through a lotta headaches to get everything to work together. The end result is the setup you see in this video.
@@ricknroll9284 there are combat system scripts available in RunUO's script archive. I would suggest finding someone to write scripts using one of those systems as a template. Just don't forget to give credit to the original author or you'll catch a lotta flack for it.

I never really figured that out. So what I did was allow people to contact me if they wanted more than 1 account, then I'd go create the account for them, then the system would allow them to log into it. The system allows more than 1 account to be played per IP address,, just not created by players, but the Administrator can create as many accounts as you want.

That's an odd one. Never had thst happen unless it was an item with a strange static the game.may not recognize or just doesn't like. When I used to run Radio Ultima on RunUO 1.0 years ago, we had that problem with a legendary colored tile that we gave players for being loyal for so long. Every time they placed it and someone walked by it, their game would crash. Also make sure you are using the version of Ultima Online that I included with this package, because that's the most stable version it works on.

You're welcome. I've also been told that some versions after 7.0 work okay, but you'll have problems with some things saying "Invalid ID" when you walk through caves and dungeons. And you may have to raise some of the teleporters in dungeons because some of them to get out of dungeons have somehow sunk below the ground level and don't work, and prayers often get stuck. It's an easy fix to just raise the Z Axis on them so they're sitting level with the ground though.

It would probably be easier if all the downloads worked. Gotta love the haters. Without them, I doubt this channel would be very popular at all.

@@xzxxx-km4vy Believe me, I was dumb when it came to this stuff. I didn't just come up with this. I got tired of paying for Ultima Online, so I went out and learned how to do my own servers by looking everything up. I also had the benefit of RunUO being online and active. Now their forum is nothing but archived scripts. I took a bunch of those scripts and went through many headaches trying to get them all to work together, and even now the system still has a few flaws I have no clue how to fix. I'm just happy it works.

Sorry, I misunderstood your dilemma. I was unaware Google Drive blocked access to anything. Unless the "Haters" are falsely reporting the links. I've made some enemies along the way. People are jealous I guess. I have requested thst both files be reviewed by their team. It'll take some time. In the meantime, if you do a search on Google for RunUO 2.0 Final Repack, you'll find the original post these files came from. I believe they're still being hosted on the old Google Code Project site.
