Oh wow.... I was going to write that I love how calming and relaxing this is (Memories of Green, and the beginning of Battle With magus), and as I started writing, the electric guitars kicked in and now I'm super pumped, and now the acoustic guitar, just wow. I guess I'm live narrating my thoughts on Battle With Magus I guess. And is that nylon guitar? I'm still learning to pick out instruments by ear, but wow, this has been a treat. I haven't finished yet (obviously) but I'm so damn impressed. It's not often that I feel a cover significantly elevates the original, but that's what you did here. And that seamless transition to Corridors of Time. Wings That Cross Time was the first song I heard from you that brought me to this video, and I just love the how fitting it was that you accentuated the jazzy elements (since the Chrono Trigger sound track does have a quite jazzy feel) and it felt perfect, just "more" of what was there in the original. On to World Revolution now, and I love that you kept the panning synth, since it's so important to convey the otherworldly feel of Lavos. And it ended beautifully, although I think it left me wanting more :) I think opening with Memories of Green was a perfect choice. It holds a very special place in my heart because it was the first time that younger me actually became aware that songs have multiple "voices" and my mind was blown when I realized I could try to listen to each independently to appreciate how it all comes together. I was a kid in the 90's listening to MP3 that I burned onto a CD as I lay in bed, and really appreciating Yasunori Mitsuda.
Finding your youtube channel is like finding a treasure trove. Your ethereal voice, atmospheric rendering, and tender and thoughtful delivery of every musical instruments is a triple tech that seal the deal. This Chrono Trigger suite of yours is what I would imagine the music sounded like deep in my heart and in the shores of dreaming. Thank you and fantastic work! 😭👏👍
Omggggg, glad I stumbled upon this. Chrono Trigger's OSTs are all just beyond magical, I am soooooo gonna listen to this intently. The first piece already got me so captivated with your vocals and those crazy amazing backing!
I love your music! Thank you so much for all the awesome tracks. I still listen to your World Revolution cover all the time, which is the best version of the piece on the internet. Lots of respect to you Julia and all your musician buddies.
Absolutely stunning work :D Chrono Trigger means the world to me, and I can feel every ounce of care you took to do each track the justice they all deserve~ Cool, smooth, rocking, ethereal, haunting, brilliant, beautiful, and I could go on and on, but there aren't enough words for how wonderful this is, and how wonderful you are ^___^
