I admire both Aretha and Whitney so bad that I don't mind if people put one or another first in their own ranking. To me both of them are as good as it gets. There's a realm of music that I just call “greatness”, and I don't feel bothered about comparing them anymore at that level, it's all greatness. It's the same with like Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie, both are greatness, and for me it's as good as it can ever be, so no comparison anymore.

She went on the road with them, singing background and accepting NO money. She filled in for CeCe in Russia when she left the tour. She tirelessly promoted and supported them. When CeCe went solo, she brought her on stage to sing at VH1 Honors, then co-wrote "Count On Me" for her and CeCe to sing, which helped her 1st CD sell. RIP Whitney

I love the fact the all of them were confident in their gifts! CeCe and Whitney sound extremely similar here. After the years, the tones both changed. My favorite singers right here abt side of the Winans Fam as a whole, Clark Sisters, and etc.

She certainly had a gift and I am grateful that I can listen to her when I am down. Whitney also had a personality like no other , it shined through on camera and her interviews. her facial expressions from 7:08- 7:39 are priceless when BeBe and CeCe are talking she always had internal thoughts during interviews and it showed through her body language. She was just real nothing fake about her.

They were there till the end and celebrated her life at her home-going funeral. When you find the kindred spirit, don't let ANYONE discourage you from being with them.
