I know I'm 2 years too late but No one ever got to shutting off the sirens, and with the reapers being synthetic I doubt they cared about the extra noise. If not for Shepard that siren would probably continued blaring until it ran out of energy

Anderson said that the reaper invasion was the worst fighting the world has ever seen… Honestly - terrifyingly, Europe has seen equally worse fighting during the apex of WW2. The night blitz over London during WW2 was as horrific as the reaper invasion. And we managed that with the technology in 1940. I also like the air raid sirens in the background during the mission. They are interestingly the same used in WW2 and WW1

Exactly! We humans managed to recreate a war as terrifying as the reaper invasion with primitive technology in the 20th century. I’m surprised why turians are considered the militaristic race while humans have practiced killing each other for 10,000 years
