Lily, you and your family are so amazing! My heart melted when you filmed your nephew cooking. It's so lovely to see how involved he is and how he's allowed to experience how to prepare food with his own hands. :)
Totally agree!! I was a bit older when I started really learning about nutritional meals. Think it would have been nice to get started at a young age. -xx Jessica
This was so wonderful to see. Acer is a natural in the kitchen. I give your sister and Brother in Law a lot of credit...They are doing an amazing job of introducing healthy food to Acer. I wish I had done that more when my daughter was little. Now she is so fussy with eating and she is 20. Wish I could go back... You are so lovely Lily. I really feel part of your world when you vlog. Thanks you. XOXO Nadine
Your nephew is so cute! 😍 I think that all children should be able to take part in all the household work. They want to be as good as their parents and that is lovely! I think it is wonderful that your family is teaching the kids to be a part of your Every day and all the knowledge you give them is great! 💟 down to earth and lovely.
LILY! That temporary tattoo reminds me so much of the Triforce from Zelda! Please tell me I'm not the only nerd who grew up with the n64 here...? Oooh, nothing worse than a random roast tray. So good! x
aww that little boy is adorable! i can clearly see anna's and lily's little girls begin best friends like their mummies whenever they decide to have children! :)
Acer is just soooo adorable! Its so lovely to see how confident he is in the kitchen! When i have kids im definetly letting them loose in the kitchen! Also while i was watching my bf over the part about ruch being in your next vid and straight away said dont get any ideas! Haha i will have him in my videos soon lol
You're weekly vlogs are my absolute favourite Lily, you're such a down to earth and genuine watchable person. I'm so happy i got the pleasure of meeting you in Glasgow at the Space NK meet up, exactly the same person in real life and your videos, just so lovely to see :) have a great week!
I always love every single vlog/video you upload but this one stood out to me in particular! I'm going to be an elementary school teacher and it's so nice to see how your sister and brother in law let their son try and experience everything on his own. It really does make a difference. He's a lucky little boy. And on top, he's SO cute!!! :)
Also, TOTALLY agree that food and nutrition needs to be properly taught at school. Lots of people will spend most of their lives not properly understanding the importance of food groups, vitamins and minerals etc. Go Jamie!
I totally agree about food in the UK curriculum! Children need to be taught. I made a decision to take Food technology as a GCSE and it is honestly so fun making healthy and original dishes. Cooking is such an overlooked life skill.
I agree with you Lily about educating our children about healthy food and how to prepare it. I'm a primary school teacher, I hadn't heard about Jamie's food day, but am going to see if I can get my school involved. Btw Acer is super articulate and knowledgeable, your sister and brother in law are doing a great job!
Lily, loved seeing your nephew cooking! My daughter loves to cook with me. She's 7 and I think it's so important for kids to eat healthy and be involved in the kitchen! Great vlog! Xxoo
I would be totally unsurprised if Asa turns out to be a chef when he is older. This video is so adorable, and Jamie's message is so important. Love the video.
I just melted and turned into a big puddle of love..your nephew is the most adorable child in the world and the fact that he loves food so much is just.. *melting again* excuse me whilst I become a puddle of love again..
OMG!! Your nephew is so cute and very smart. Also, spied a familiar item in the favorites stash. Have a love/hate relationship with my trigger point foam roller! Looking forward to seeing the other picks. I really appreciate that you mix up your videos so often. You're creativity keeps it so interesting and great to watch. Seems like you really enjoy it!
It's already in the national curriculum. Healthy eating and how to have a healthy lifestyle including making sensible food options is covered in year 7 in Britain and has been for years. Xx
Your nephew is adorable! I loved seeing how interested he is about food. My family raised me very similarly so by the age of 3/4 I already had developed a taste for spicy food and "weird" things such as cow tongue and cow intestines. It's great to see kids eating more "adventurous."
Omg I've two little boys and am just in love with your nephew, so polite and well rounded (better than my two gorgeous lunatics!!). His parents are doing an amazing job. Also looking forward to your video with Rich xx
Your nephew is incredibly adorable! Totally agree with you and Jamie on the food education, it's so important! And those flowers look amazing. I always look forward to and enjoy you vlogs ;) xx
I teach Design Tech - and they (by they i mean the educational governors) are trying to make DT as a whole a non-core subject so most school may not even need teach it, it cut costs in terms of teaching staff and equipment, sad really because kids would miss out on so many creative opportunities. Fingers crossed for Jamie Olivers campaign. Ahhh Lily ur nephew is the cutest!
How adorable is Asa (sp?) ?! I love when kids get excited about food. We grow our veggies and herbs and our three boys know how to sow, plant, and tend a garden and harvest as well. My youngest loves to get in the kitchen and cook (sometimes). I think we all appreciate our food more when we have to work hard to get it ☺️.
Your nephew is so adorable and so knowledgeable about foods!! Very impressive. Lunch looked delicious! Thanks for sharing with us & have a great week ahead!
Love your vlogs. Its so funny that you said you can only wash your hair at night, because I can only wash mine in the morning! Also, in a vlog a couple months ago you talked about Ribena and I wanted to try it. Since I am in the States I ordered it on Amazon and my whole family loved it. Then just today I found it in one of my local grocery stores. So happy to have it readily available. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Any chance of posting a link to the lamb recipe please? I'm in charge of Easter dinner next week + have been wracking my brains about what to cook. This looked gorgeous. So brilliant to see your little nephew so into cooking. Start 'em young! :)
So good to see that your nephew will eat anything! I have a half sister who is 4 and she honestly only eats about five different foods because her mum hasn't encouraged her to try any new foods! Trying to get her to eat anything is always an ordeal :/ kids should always be encouraged to eat new foods from a young age :)
Gutted that you didn't vlog much at BCU, I go to this Uni but couldn't make RethinkMedia but was looking forward to the vlog about it, hope it went well!!
Parents goals!!! Acer is really lucky - no wonder he is so cute!
Lily, you and your family are so amazing! My heart melted when you filmed your nephew cooking. It's so lovely to see how involved he is and how he's allowed to experience how to prepare food with his own hands. :)
This was a really lovely video. I totally agree with Jamie about health being important to teach, and I loved seeing Acer helping cook!

i'd recommend cubana on lower marsh :) it has a kind of street food-y vibe and was a filming location in the film 'One Day'! xx
I work near there and always say I'll go there for lunch because they have a stall out during lunch. I'm deffo going after seeing this!
Don't know whether it was just me but I automatically said bless you when you sneezed near the end 😂 love your weekly vlogs Lily! X
