Last week I had to stop the video and go rewatch The Rock, now I'm gonna stop watching this video and go watch Air force one. I used to have this movie on VHS lol
Dan!! I just discovered your channel after I realized you left SJ, and I can't tell you how excited iam about this new chapter. You were my favorite part of movie fights and Im looking forward to seeing your content on the regular. Best of luck on this new venture 👏❤
It's always fun to know what someone else was doing during a specific point in time. I'm a year younger than Dan, but I was allowed to see most R-rated films. I remember being really excited for the Summer of '97 because of the E! promos. I watched those constantly and the trailer for The Lost World: Jurassic Park was my favorite trailer for probably 20 years. I'm pretty sure I saw all of the films that were released that summer. I know for sure I got to see Air Force One in theaters and I had the same reaction about the final visual effect of the plane crashing. Thanks for sharing the video of this! I had missed it on the other channel.
This was the first rated R movie I saw in theater. I’m younger than you, Dan, and my mom actually suggested my brother take me to this. She did not know the rating. We didn’t tell her.
I enjoyed this movie. Kevin Costner would have been good, too. I did like The Postman and the book it was based on. Gary Oldman effectively portrays heros and villains.
"Leader of the Free World". Dan is often hilarious, but that didn't sound like it was said ironically. It's way past time for people to retire this line. The rest of the world collectively cringes whenever an American says this.
@@jaycievictory8461Not to mention delusional. The country with the world's biggest prison population by both size and proportion can't claim such a title, even if it were a real thing.
@@gavinhillick Agreed. If I thought it was rude but truthful I would have said it's "cocky" or "boastful". Other countries do not see the States that way.
@@jaycievictory8461 No, we certainly do not. Unfortunately a lot of Americans take criticism to mean hating the country, rather than a friend telling you that you're too drunk and should go home.
I love the fact that even Gary Oldman got excited and pointed out to Ford that he was Indiana Jones.
I like the timing of this archive episode. Air Force One was just added to Netflix today.
"It's not like this in real life...but how would you know?"
Damn, now that's a one liner!
One of the all time pre kill one liners " Get off my plane!"
Oh yeah? Well I'm TALLER!
@@christinea2355 haha yes! Good one!
Im taller is post-kill technically. :)
Words will never be able to express how disappointed I am that he didn’t do Con Air for 90’s action month.

I adore this movie. I watched it very young, and to this day it never fails to get me pumped.

First rated R movie my parent's let me watch. Loved watching President Ford kick some ***!
I saw this in theaters and GET OFF MY PLANE got a huge cheer.
Corridor Crew gave the VFX on the plane crash scene a good kicking...
This is THE movie that got me into movies. I taped it off cable and wore out the tape.
Can you get Roth on as a guest? Whenever your both doing a review or talking about movies your conversations are so great!
Love this flick

🗣🔊 get off my plane! 🗣🔊
13:43 - I really, REALLY thought Dan was going to go for the "President Marshal is now free to move about the cabin" joke.
I loved the soundtrack
Loved the video. Back then on SEN and now...!! Keep up the great work man.
These are so high quality. Good Job Dan. Lovin' this feature series.
Yeah. I think I'm gonna watch this today.
Nicely done
Fingers crossed next month is John Carpenter movie month! The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China please!!
Love the channel Dan!!
Now that 90s action movie month is over. I feel like I have to mention Hard Rain. Hard Rain is so cool.
I wonder if the escape pod idea originated in Escape from New York? Apparently John Carpenter thought it was a real enough thing as well
One of my and my brother's go to when he was little. Pretty good feat to capture the attention of an 18 year old girl and a 6 year old boy!
Wait - did you say Wolfgang Petersen? As in, the Director of Neverending Story? Ha! Amazing 😀
Great job love you videos 👍👍👍
Are you going to do The 5th Element? That’s one of my favorite 90’s action movies! It also has Gary Oldman.
I loved Coming Attractions. Now, I don't care much about trailers.

ONLY 30 minutes?? Lol, love the show
I didn't know this was R rated! My grandparents took me to the theater to see this. I was 11. LOL
HUGE fan of this show ;)
Please do Predator!!
In the future some kid will be reviewing movies from last decade and will be using Dan's footage like he uses Siskel and Roger
My man Dan, how are you finding all of these clips? 😂 Great work
GLEN CLOSE.....in THE SHIELD is so fucking good
remember the time when Xander Berkley was in every movie, and then nobody on Earth remembered his name? crazy times.
Love this movie to death, especially the Vice President who followed her convictions and never gave up on the President.
GREAT CONTENT 👍 YOU ENCOURAGED ME TO MAKE MY OWN ❗
Uh oh you said the C word!
@@christinea2355 lol what?
I'm more of a Con Air fan. I'm just waiting for Charts.
What are your thoughts on Indiana Jones 5 getting delayed 3 months because of his injury ?
Good stuff
Alan!
You have the best impartial and diplomatique with your Dan Murrel.
Way to do it.
So kepp it that way..
Cherrss
I saw this already...
I enjoyed this movie. Kevin Costner would have been good, too. I did like The Postman and the book it was based on. Gary Oldman effectively portrays heros and villains.
Poor General Radek aka Duke Leo Atreides, that guy gets killed in almost every movie he's in
Come to think of it, he did die at the end of Das Boot (along with almost the whole submarine crew).
GET OFF DAN’S PLANE, that is not full of snakes.
7:30 holy crap! I just realized I’ve never heard Oldman’s real voice. That threw me.
Way to use your TVA management position for good.
I love this movie growing up but Harrison Ford and planes man.
Kevin Costner would have been equally excellent in the role
28:31 - 28:43 Why does his voice sound like Dan Castellaneta impersonating Harrison Ford?
"Part of what Trump said was kinda true" wow... that must be a personal best for Trump.
"Leader of the Free World".

It's amazingly arrogant
