As an anecdote about the Nintendo Palworld patent lawsuit, PocketPair put out a statement (this statement in particular on the Japanese Palworld Twitter account) where they said that "as a small indie company" they are going to fight for the rights of all indie devs this would impact, and the reaction from the Japanese side of Twitter is... interesting? They're essentially just saying "stop dragging other indies into this, this is a you problem not an indie problem" and even ZUN subtweeted it by basically saying "I'm a doujin game creator, so this doesn't affect me. I'm not saying what the topic is."

They should set up an avatar and TTS for Timer-chan and once in a while it will just read out a random chat message while streaming. They definitely raised enough money for this level of service
Honestly, the voice they use to read out donations is already a good voice for Timer-chan. It sounds robotic and feminine and funny. Just set her to boop when she speaks like a pngtuber.

God, the Palworld lawsuit makes me so angry. It's blatant abuse of the patent system. With the emulators and fan games, I get it, even if I don't agree. But this is just corporate bullying to sabotage the competition. If Nintendo wins this, the patent system in Japan is a complete farce.
The system's already pretty dire. Capcom has been actively hunting down MMBN style fangames and indies for years because they' patented the MMBN grid; any game that does two sides of 3x3 squares is basically fair game to be killed by them (that's why all knockoffs you see use different amounts of squares in their grids).
Speaking of Netflix One Piece, it sure was incredibly disappointing finding out who actually owns the casting company and why they're intentionally avoiding casting any Arabs or Muslims for the arc set entirely in ARABasta.

Not sure what's up with the constant making fun of Sony Japan Studios (especially calling fans of them "grifters"). Plenty of people are happy for Freedom Wars. So like, yeah they had lower output near the end of their lifespan and way more duds, but honestly? All of that is still more beloved than whatever the heck current California Sony is churning out (also it's not funding insane Zion*st directors). And before sales and profits come up, Horizon was a free pack-in game for two console generations so I'd wager it also has those inflated New Tomb Raider numbers; any Japan Studio title could have sold as much if they put that much effort into forcing it into people's hands.
