I’m grateful to say that I'm currently attending NC A&T State University. “The largest public HBCU in the nation.” Enrolling at A&T is one of the best decisions I have ever made as a young black man.
AGGIE PRIDE!!! AGGIES DO!!!! SOMETHING ABOUT THAT BLUE & GOLD!!!!! ALWAYS DOING!!! NEVER DONE!!!
I like my A in front of my G, in front of my G in front of my I in front of my E in front of my pride. I like my Aggie pride.

Aggie Pride!!
Aggie Pride my brother. I graduated from T 10 years ago this year and seeing the improvements campus and the university has made since then has been amazing
Recently got accepted to Clark Atlanta! I’ll be going there in the fall.
Congratulations 🎊👏

@Ky' tiana, Awesome. 3 cousins of mine graduated from Clark in the early 2000s. Best of luck and do well🙏🏽❤️
Congrats 🎉 Queen 👸🏾 Show that Black Girl Magic🗣
Congratulations!
Full scholarship from NASA to attend Spelman. Turned down "The Ivies". Best decision I made.
Congratulations!!
👏🏽
So what did you do with it considering that Spelman doesn't have a real engineering program?
I love to help educate people who don’t know about college programs! So Spelman is a liberal arts school so it definitely does not brag about its own program but it builds a great foundation for the partnership it has with GA Tech. A number of students take advantage of earning two Bachelor’s degrees, one from SC and one from GaTech. I am a straight mathematician so I did research initially.
@@beckyinthebubble Yes, I read about the partnerships between Georgia Tech and the HCBU'S in the area. My only question is: Why after all of these years, does Spelman, Morehouse and Clark-Atlanta have more STEM offerings and facilities themselves??
Proud Howard University graduate here. Best decision I ever made.
Same here sis ✊🏾
Yassss!! #HU✊🏾
Are you aware that Howard was founded and named after a white man?
@@2MasterBuilder2 Yes. A lot of HBCUs are. They’re named after the folks who gave land or money to be able to build or open the schools back in the 1800s.
@@2MasterBuilder2 what’s wrong with that?
Makes so much sense. No one wants to send their child to college and have them get shot or arrested just for being on the campus their parents are paying for them to attend.
...while white kids do meth.
Not to mention having racist professors trying to serve as gatekeepers for their professions.
Exactly

“The world underestimates HBCUs.” This is unfortunately the truth. HBCUs have ALWAYS been valuable. I hope this isn’t just a wave, but that it continues. Both my husband and I are HBCU alums. We plan to expose our children throughout their lives so that when it’s time to make the decision about college, the choice will be obvious. There are over 100 HBCUs…choose 1. Lol
Wrong mindset. Send your kids to a good HBCU not "any"
I never heard of them
My biggest regret is that I didn't attend a HBCU,I know I missed out

Stop talking STUPID! You know damn well the truth!
It’s about damn time, welcome home Brothers and Sisters, we’ve been waiting on you!
I have PTSD from the racism I experienced attending an PWI. I’m glad I went to an HBCU as an undergraduate because as an undeveloped teenager that racism would’ve torn me down. HBCUs just gives Black ppl a different mentality about personhood and it’s not about indoctrinating you into whiteness.
@Jarod Armstrong Due to the racism she faced dude
@Ash Hegde Weak degrees? 🙄
@Ash Hegde All university arent created equal. There are plenty or predominantly white universities that also do the same thing. So huh?
@Ash Hegde A lot of the schools are scams. Just because something is an HBCU doesn’t magically make it a good school. I would only go to the top-tier ones. Same thing with other colleges that are PWI or whatever you wanna call them. A lot of degrees are scams. At least with going to some of the top-tier schools, you’re more likely to make connections that will give you a job. That’s why some people go to the top-tier HBCU schools because there is a network of black professionals that can help you.
@Ash Hegde The top 10 HBCUs had an endowment of 2 billon where as the top 10 PWIs had 200 billion. All the HBCUs have 3.9 billon COMBINED!
Of course they cant fund everything to the same level. But that doesn’t mean that their INDIVIDUAL programs are poorly ranked or poor quality. You can still get a high-quality education at the top HBCUs (Howard, Spelman and FAMU). But there is no way that they will ever compete with schools that have way more money.
Besides, rankings focus on nonsense things. The whole goal is to complete lucrative careers with the least amount of debt and stress possible. For many Black Americans, they feel like HBCUs are a better bet for that at the undergraduate level. They prefer networking opportunities with Black professionals over having the best cafeteria or whatever.
Imagine if more black athletes went to HBCUs?💰 #happyjuneteenth
HBCU should receive top athletes!!!!

That's because his parents are doing an excellent job raising him and have allowed him to keep his innocence and remain a boy. Unlike the other terrible parents who force their kids to grow up prematurely because they lack the proper skills to be a parent.
FAMU is my dream school! I’m surprised that this young man chose it over Morehouse and Harvard but he knows what’s best!
I’m not surprised. Harvard is overrated...especially for Black people. A recent study showed NC A&T MBA grads get more job offers than Harvard MBA grads.
@@PhDiva02 MBA grads lol. Doesn't matter where you get your MBA from it is about experience. Harvard isn't overrated at all. Look at the average salary of a undergrad business school grad from harvard vs NC A&T I mean jeez we can support HBCUs without talking bs
@@lasenyo7705 an MBA is a professional degree. The purpose of a professional degree isnt to have an experience LOL. Professional degrees are expensive so ultimately the purpose of getting one is to increase one's salary in their profession. Harvard is certainly overrated for Black people. One study demonstrated that black harvard grads were only as likely as white grads from public state universities to get job callbacks. Undergrad b-school salary isnt the appropriate comparison. BLACK undergrad b-school grad salary for A&T versus harvard is the appropriate comparison. All of the available evidence says there wouldnt be much difference between the two and A&T grads might have an advantage. So no one is talking bs. You're just woefully uninformed. Go cape for white folks somewhere else.
@@PhDiva02 Jeez some of our people are ignorant as hell. Well first off like I just said you can get your MBA degree from anywhere it doesn't matter where you get it from. A lot of people I know went to the University of Phoenix. I talked about Undergrad business there is a huge difference from harvard and NC A&T
@@PhDiva02 However, ivy league is the dumb option if you cannot pay for it. Take the full scholarship from somewhere else. So I'm not downtalking HBCUs at all or saying don't go to NC A&T it is a good school. I was going to go to howard just couldn't afford it. I just hate you writing that comment because some people will listen to you. What if they do have that affordable option to go to harvard? Idk

I bet they are seeing a soar in applications 😭 I went to PWIs growing up and would cry being able to be surrounded by my people at a HBCU to study biology. A culturally safe space for us built by us.
Why do you need a safe space?
@@pertburton5586 imagine feeling like the ugly duckling all the time. All alone. These are culturally safe spaces for African Americans to just be Black and proud not having to constantly be reminded of our reality in America.
You know there are other races other than black and white. Where do the Asians, Indians and Latinos go?
@@greg-iw7mf to pwi’s but depending on the location & there are colleges that will have a higher asian population / latino etc just like a hbcu of pwi would have
@@catrocks93 but it's still a PWI where whites are a majority and white culture prevails. Plus a lot of the PWIs with high asian populations are WAYY harder to get in than HBCUs. So asians have to work 10x harder to be in good schools with a high asian population and even then it's not guaranteed.
And not many good HBCUs are very diverse either. Out of 4500 undergrads, Howard University only has 400 latinos and 66 asians.
Alright...we've got a Black college base. Now lets build a Black INDUSTRIAL base...where HBCU graduates can go and work for US, not for everybody BUT us.
