thank you for sharing the excerpt of Daniël's message. I've realized that it's not enough for the guy I like to like me back, but that he should have such righteous intentions towards me, and vice versa.
This is quite funny, because I live in Holland and it's so freaking hard to find a man of virtue who is not married yet. Good to know they are still there!
Rebecca Kuijpers finding a man of virtue is HARD for sure! but not impossible. I am from Mexico and even though this is a pretty catholic country, I struggled lots. I tried catholicmatch and found an amazing man. Even though it is a long distance relationship, it has been absolutely beautiful, it makes me feel fulfilled and joyful in a way I never dreamed of. I hope you find a man of God whom you can walk hand in hand living a righteous and happy life.
I'm from N.C. and went to Germany in 2010 to be a nanny. I found Jesus and then I found my future-husband. We got married Dec. 31, 2011. Crazy! Congrats to you!
This is so special, because I'm from the netherlands (holland) as well and my man is from the US, I knew he was special moment I met him, and he said he knew the moment he met me he wanted me to be his wife
One of my friends who was visiting another country, when she got there, the guy from a church she was going to visit, he was giving her a tour around town and they got married too.
Oh, Emily! You never fail to bring me joy!!! I first heard you share your love story when you spoke at my high school a few weeks before your wedding day. What a beautiful witness both you and Daniël are to the power of trusting in God and His amazing plan for each and every one of us!!! I cannot wait to watch the episode featuring both you and your hubby! Love you, dear sister! xx
You have truly been a light in my life latley. Thank you for your beautiful testimony and thank you for sharing your heart with us. Your an instrument of Christ.
You know, I've just stumbled across your channel and even though we might not have a lot in common (I'm christian but not super active in my community) I still have to say that I respect the path you've chosen and think that you and your husband are really great together. I feel like people are so afraid to talk about faith and it makes me sad and it makes me wonder how my life would have turned out if more people were just open about their faith or respectful towards different faiths. That's why I think it's great that you are so open about this topic!
Hi, I'm a new fan and I love your videos and your views. I am super thrilled to know about your love story, I wish I knew more. You guys are so beautiful and it's such a joy to see your love of God
Thank you so much for sharing, Emily! I know a love story is a personal thing, but I really loved getting to hear your story. It's so inspiring and definitely a testimony to how God does amazing things in our lives if we are open to His perfect will. Can't wait to see the episode of you and your husband. God will surely work through it!
I absolutely love you, Emily! I needed some help discussing these important topics with my daughter and her friends- and I came upon your videos by chance. Keep doing what you do. You undoubtedly will make a difference in girls (and boys) lives!
That's an awesome story! What a lucky guy! I wanted to hear your story cause I knew you guys had dated Long distance! Which I am just starting to do myself, the difference is we met on CatholicMatch.com so we haven't met in person! She is just a day's drive so I'll be making the drive as soon as I can. But I see that you were able to live in the same city for a bit while dating, so that makes things a little bit easier! If you hadn't been able to test the relationship like that, you think you would have gotten married anyway?
Thanks for watching Diego. To answer your question - I would not have gotten married if we had not been able to spend that extended amount of time together. We would have waited until we had been able to take that time as we both saw it as very important to building a good foundation for our marriage!
This isn't specifically about yalls relationship (although you seem like the cutest thing ever) but what's your opinion on dating in high school? If you can find someone who's one of your best friends and who is strong in their faith an will lead you to Christ should you date or no?
Dear Emily, I'm teaching Totus Tuus and I was wondering if you knew where I could find the video of your talk about the note book you kept of what you were looking for in a husband... At least I am pretty sure it was you... If not that's okay I'll keep looking
Some of what he said in his first messaged you on facebook, is how I'm feeling right now for a guy. But instead of being thousands of miles apart, we are at the same school. So is it okay for a girl to express these feelings to the guy?
Thank you for sharing something so personal! :D My question for Daniel is: how did you reach the point where you knew you met the right girl and decided to pursue her, particularly given that you have not felt like this about anyone before? Do you think it takes time for young men to mature and to reach that stage, and what would your tips be for young girls, who are waiting for an initiatory commitment-oriented man, like you? Thank you! I wish both of you the best, and I am so happy you two married!
Emily I am 15 and would really love to save my virginity until I marry my future husband but I fear that it will make it hard for a boy to have a strong relationship with me if sex is not involved they might not want to invest their time with me or maybe they will become unfaithful. Obviously for you it turned out perfect and I'm very happy to see that but do you think that God has the same plans for me? I know more often then not these days young people like myself are just dying to get out there and have sex with everyone I guess. Do you think for many guys it will be a deal breaker that I hope to save my virginity until marriage?
If it's a deal breaker, then the boy is not for you. You could check some others Emily's videos, but what she keeps telling is this exact truth: if the boy you like or are dating feels like you are not worth their time, they're not worth yours. God has great plans for you, and if Marriage is what he's calling you to, He will make sure to find you a good, holly husband. You are really young, glad you asked this question because it means you appreciate God's plan and try to make Him the driver of your life.
What advice would you give someone who has been in a relationship on and off and this person really likes this other person but this other person is greatly influenced by family and friends especially parents, and their parents don't like you. But you feel deep down that this person is the one?
