There is an old building a bit up in the hills where it came charging down. Get up there and you can shoot whatever you want out of that thing, it can't get up there, and hardly moves below you.
If you go to the slaughterspine location in the snow, just double jump against the steep diagonal mountain range. You’ll get to the Dreadwing and Sunbird too. EZ
Oh damn that last Shellsnapper never spawned for me for some reason. I do wonder what the point of these unmarked sites is though. It would make more sense if they were just one time encounters and then never spawned again but once you know where they are they might as well just be regular machine sites because they're not exactly a surprise anymore lmao
@@theredfox788 Lol first time it happened to me a damn Stalker comes flying out of nowhere shooting at me. & 2nd time a Ravager comes out firing. Lol gets me every time. I love it tho. & I like how you can actually farm those locations too as the enemy actually respawns. Makes a good spot to farm Stalkers in fact.
So the Ravager site, I was looking around in my focus for the location and saw the Ravager sitting there. Took me sneaking around the building to realize it was inside it...
I came into that first thunderjaw by air, glided down but it never woke up. Just walked around in a circle about 6 feet off the ground, ignored me even if I attacked it no damage done. I figured it would be needed for a storyline later on.
That last one I found by accident while looking for metal flower sites. I was low on shards late game and there’s one on the southern side of the small island
Came upon that storm bird site thought I'd just take it out quick but somehow didn't see the dreadwing both were apex since it was nighttime and probably never died so fast in the game.
Yup I definitely found that Apex Acid Thunderjaw on accident just tryna open the entire map lol. Scared the shit outta me, but luckily it was after I'd beaten the story.

I have 101 out of 102 machine sites, and I've been everywhere, rescanned all possible machines in NG+ and still can't find the last one. I dont know where to go...
They're not secret machines but okay... (Cause they're made by Hephaestus... And are just more powerful machine versions of the regular ones.. not a secret at all if you played Horizon Zero Dawn and actually payed attention to the story, hell even in Horizon Forbidden West it they say stuff about Hephaestus and his machines lol)

That spot in the mountains is great for farming. Do it at the right time and you have four Apex machines to fight one after the other
