Thank goodness for at least one mall that's still alive. I remember Mayfair. I also remember Capital Court and Brookfield square. So sad Capital Court was demolished. I have such fond memories of them.
It seems the higher end the anchor stores are (like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth, etc) the better the chance of survival. Not just that, like you said the higher income area malls never die. All in all great video friend!
I love Mayfair. I will always love malls--the sights, scents and sounds as you stroll along...the exploring, and the fun finds are irreplaceable, especially at Christmas time!!! :) Let's keep the malls!!! 😊💖
surprised that you got to film! i tried filming vlogs here and almost every time the security guards caught me and told me to stop lmao. it’s really interesting to me that most malls’ downfall tends to me general gang activity/riff-raff and mayfair has had its fair share of fights and robbing yet people still come. not that i’m complaining, though. i spent my whole life in this mall honestly.
I grew up on Mill Rd and 76th st. My grandparents lived in Glendale. So I have great and clear memories of Mayfair, Bayshore, and of course Northridge malls. Sad about peoples’ pain and anger but there’s probably a rational explanation for most of it

I wish there was a video of Mayfair Mall before when they had the fish in the floor!!!!! Also the skating rink!!!!
I love this mall. I wonder what it looked like inside in the fifties. I had no idea it was that old (I have only lived in Wisconsin for 9 years).
Another great job. Can't wait to see the next Non-Dying Mall Series.
Mayfair mall was always a nice place to go! I always enjoyed it.
Unfortunately this mall lost Boston Store due to the chain and Bon Ton business going under. Right now they need another anchor store in place.

I left Milwaukee in 1985. I lived very close to Mayfair mall. This looks totally different than I remember.
Great video. Excellent camera work, narration work. Liked the architecture. Thanks for uploading.
Are there any still very alive malls with a very 80s aethsetic?

Even with the recent.. ish incidents, Its still feels like a truly busy, vibrant mall.
I really like this mall! Maybe you should check out Bayshore Town Center for this series
The stream is gone? That was the best feature!
I've been here, gets crazy during the holidays
Mayfair is my favorite mall

When I visited Mayfair in the mid 1980s there was ice skating inside the mall. Anyone remember that?
