- VIP tours for leaders of government, business, legal, interfaith and humanitarian organizations are being held at the Rome Italy Temple from Tuesday, January 15, through Tuesday, January 22, before the public open house begins on Monday, January 28.

Oh i love this new temple and it is a great time to meet with the Catholics in rome two powerful religions getting along i am a latterday saint also and i know i made the right choice in life.
You're definitely in a religion. Christians have a relationship with Christ. We don't care about buildings. That's worshiping an idol. The statue of Moroni reminds me of the brass calf that they made and worshiped that was an abomination to God.
The Kingdom of God is on the earth. That stone cut out of the mountains without hands shall roll forth and fill the whole earth. I KNOW THIS IS TRUE. I am a humble and devouted Latter day Saint.

Not to be cynical or anything, but *OF COURSE* the temple in Italy would have statues of all the other 12 apostles somewhere on the grounds or in the background...
Nevertheless I still love it. I remember when this temple was first announced and that was years ago. Amazing to finally see it at its completion and eventual dedication for the Saints in Italy and southern Europe; what a time to be alive! Wish I could be there...

I don’t understand... the last lady, referring to the statue of Christ, says it’s important that it return to Rome again? Do not the Catholics have Christ? I also think it’s very interesting how they have the 12 apostles standing behind the Christ... especially in Rome.

@@terrywilliams759 that's confusing to me because I remember the lds church heavily promoting the use of the name mormon as a way to identify them to the world. Remember the I'm a mormon campaign and meet the mormons movie?

@@terrywilliams759 yeah understand wanting to make sure people know the name of the church. Are you saying that Gordon B Hinckley and Thomas S Monson we're stupid for promoting the use of the name Mormon? I dont think you want to throw past prophets under the bus like that. But again I do understand wanting to put more emphasis on the official name but let's not deny that not that long ago faithful latter day saints were proud to be called mormon.
Did the pope visit?
The Pope is not going to visit what he considers to be a relatively small heretical sect. The TRINITY and a belief in ONE ETERNAL GOD (from everlasting to everlasting, not created) is the foundational belief of the church.
If he visits or not... I know that everyone is invited... The Temples do nothing but fortify my testimony in Jesus Christ and God the Father! 🥰
