Mesmerising Kanakchauri, India's one & only Lord Kartikeya's temple, Kanakchauri, Uttrakhand

Route: Haridwar to Kanakchauri- 200kms (6-7hrs by car), take right from Rudraprayag bridge
Stay option: Mayadeep Rest House (Mob.[phone]) online booking available.
Temple opening/Puja time: 8-8:30am.
You must take a guide if you are willing to see the sunrise as you have to start trekking in the dark and the whole route is in between dense forest. Also, there is a possibility of loosing path.
Torch/ headlamps are must for everyone in the dark trekking path.

Other must have things: Water, warm clothes (for winter), Trekking shoes, Dry foods.
