Excellent video. And the idea of a bonus amount becoming an expectation is a very important point!

I manage a grocery store where we frequently reward employees with gift cards. Could this be an issue? Most employees are entry level.

...and every time you give a pay raise you create a new plateau. And then you have to give a pay raise again and again and again. That's not very constructive and it's also very exhausting and expensive...
Conclusion: Never give a pay raise ever.

That is not what he said. He was talking about financial rewards such as a bonus and not about a pay rise.

2:25 well, they must have been a very idiotic group. Literally the first solution that came to my mind immediately was to stick the box to the wall and then put the candle on top of it. There's no other way around. It's gravity! (but then again, you'll say that the reason I thought of that is because I'm not being paid 😂)
