+Chelsea Burton For some weird reason, he does make me feel happy, like "Hey, you can do that cute little things he does". And his vibe is absolutely gorgeous. I mean, he was enjoying the joy of painting, and such happiness and relaxing are quite difficult to find them nowadays.

I gave up painting to raise a family. 40 years later I've decided to take it up again. Thank you for bringing back a great guy who's calm voice soothed my fussy babies

And more importantly did you use titanium hwite?
That's what most regular people would say, it's hard, to paint, when you're sweating from your taint.

I only recently come across Bob Ross, and after years of not painting, raising a family, losing interest etc , and recently losing my eldest daughter, I found peace in his voice and paintings...I have now painted four in one week. Thankyou Bob Ross, your memory lives on as you still inspire and lift others...soar high in those clouds 😊
Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your eldest daughter is now in a peaceful place where there is no pain. And maybe she is with Bob Ross now painting sad skies with beautiful clouds to ease the pain in our lives.

I love the beautiful bluish glow effect of the cloud formations which slowly fades into a violet glow towards the horizon.
You could do the same for a more disastrous scene. Such as clouds of volcanic ash sliding down a mountain. Works for people painting depictions of Pompeii or something out of fantasy.
Interesting observation... at 12:20, check out Bob's extra long pinky fingernail! We'll just pretend that was for measuring out little nuts and seeds for his happy little squirrel and bird friends :) lol... Love you Bob! been watching you since i was a kid :)

Bob Ross and Fred Rogers had the most soothing voices.
He spoke so softly bc he was an airforce Sargent and had to yell at his men constantly so when he got out of the military he vowed to never raise his voice again.

I dont know why but I love it when he says Foots. It just makes me smile that much more. Foots.
Season 2 really shows what master artist he was because most of his reference paintings were stolen and he had to paint off the top of his head as he went a long. The way they filmed it had him doing several paintings in a row so that couldn't have been easy.
He shot each season over a weekend period. 32 weekends for 32 seasons
He makes me want to be a painter

I'm 47 years old, and I used to watch Bob on open air tv here in Chile, a lot of years ago, now I can see him at will, I bet that where you're know, they love your paintings. Bib hug to all.

One of the nicest sounds: listening to Bob's voice.
I could listen to him all day (and night), it is so relaxing. When I
watch this in the evening, I actually do fall asleep :)). I love how he
makes up all these little stories as he paints, like "maybe this tree
will fall and make a bridge over the stream". It is almost more relaxing
to watch him paint than drawing/ painting myself.

I love watching bob Ross... unlike others his look at nature and life. Wow we miss you man. I wish I could have met him or his son.
I swear I see at least two faces in the clouds.

ive watched bob ross on pbs when was a kid. his voice is soothing, thus, he was positive about everything. Sure miss the 80s. everything was original.
I love Mr. Ross I do watch him to relax and to sleep. He has some of the funnest sayings and I love happy trees and the fireballs..GOD blessed this man with many wonderful gifts and so grateful he shared them with us.
He's a great artist, make me wanna start painting. I like Bob Ross and his mentor for this technique, Bill Alexander. Both of them are so nice to watch painting. Happy little clouds, you can do it, almighty brush. Lol
Anyone who can not appreciate Bobs work are unable to understand art!!

I used to listen to podcasts while drawing - trying to get into comics and illustration - now I listen to Bob. I loosen up so much more and feel a lot better about how I'm doing.

Love watching his videos, I’ve been struggling with my confidence and landscapes, he’s got my motivation revved up, now I need to take it to my studio and start working on some painting. He will always be with us watching from heaven. Love his style of teaching, so calm and easy to follow.

It's a beautiful painting. He makes it look so easy, it's almost like magic watching blobs of paint turn into such gorgeous scenery

has anyone really painted along with Bob ? im not an artist and I think it would be difficult to paint along with someone who's already so good at painting.
alot of people did , and alot still do. twitch had a fad of people streaming them painting alongside him
