Bob's paintings got a lot brighter and more colorful as the seasons went on. In his early stuff, about seasons 1-5, you can really tell the influence of Bill Alexander and wanting to use fewer colors. But look at his stiff from his later years, especially in the 20s, and his paintings seem to have a sharper, brighter tone to them.
A waterfall and stream with a splashing sound effect at 22:50 when Bob was washing/splashing his fan brush! I could live in this painting... (Glad he didn't paint in a happy little cabin and spoil the natural beauty!) 😺💕🐾

He was really referring to "over-painting" (doing too many fussy little things) when the painting was already finished. He could keep on painting it forever and still not be "done", but he recognized that he'd finished and then some (!), so he signed his name. His comment had nothing to do with needing to "go"! 😺💕🐾

Painting this was brutal! He did not give directions like he usually does! He wasn’t helpful when it came to actually recreating this piece. Good luck to those who try to attempt this! He often didn’t say out loud some of the colors he was using nor the placement of certain objects in this painting. It was rough!
I forgot two things: my knock off oil paints are very much more saturated then his, and that I don't have a proper oil solvent. Now my painting looks like a blue mountain with a fire blazing in the background, but hey I'm not done yet so it's gonna get better
