A quick visit to BARBIE'S CAFE TODAY from 1970!

Hello and welcome back.... Just a quick squizz through one of my most prized structures, Barbie's CAFÉ TODAY from 1970. I had always wanted this ever since I started collecting and honestly never thought I would ever find it. ('Never say never,' I've learnt with collecting!) As this is one of the very - hard -to - find Barbie Mod Structures. The inside of the café has a very 1960's psychedelic décor and features a pop out service counter & roof. The front flap folds out to create a dance floor. The walls inside have a kitchen featuring a '3-D effect' oven & grill with food and a soda fountain. A separate orange telephone is attached to the wall. There is also a plastic counter at the back (holding the cash register, that Talking Ken is manning.) Other dolls partying at the café include Live Action Barbie, Ken and P.J., Talking Christie, Brad, P.J. and Stacey (and P.J. and Stacey still talk! You mean the Stacey sitting down in the green minidress and that faux shearling vest? She's actually the 1968 TNT Stacey with the long ponytail (That outfit is 'Important Investment' from 1969.) ... Talking Stacey is in the pink brocade pyjamas standing near Living Barbie. They are cool outfits, aren't they? Thanks for watching!
