Despite the cringe prayer scene, I absolutely loved the Marauders marching against the Bugs.

I kinda felt that was the only good thing about this scene. A powerful moment moment of faith when all hope is lost and in comes the guardian angels..... with really bad CGI that cartoons can do better....

The roughnecks cartoon had its moments as well.
Yeah like… the movie built up to this exact moment and they ruin it with prayer. 😊
As much as I love prayer(I'm a Christian), I can't help but say that them praying sounds cringy.
Because they aren't real Christians (following the teachings of Jesus), they are just religious fanatics (like the crusaders and the inquisitors), who use religion to justify their evil and selfish deeds. This is made obvious when Holly suggests they should kill the sky marshal for believing in another god, which is something Jesus and his apostles never encouraged.
That’s kinda the entire point here. It’s became a way to maintain morale and general willingness to fight in a hard fought conflict.
Ya I love how we finally got to see the mech suits in the novel they already had in the beginning of the book at the last movie in the end! Lol 😂
Well at least there’s the anime and no not that 3D animated one

@@thevgmlover haven’t read the book yet but from my understanding they had mechs much more advanced than this and power armor. Ever wonder why they are called the mobile infantry despite having no vehicles in the movie because in the books they don’t need them the power armor makes them fast.

@@domingofung 1/5, actually. First one had budget of 100M, this had 20M. Which somehow still sounds too much for what was actually presented on screen.
That's what happens with Direct to video scifi movies. Unfortunately the first movie barely made half of it's 105 million budget back so it was considered a mega flop.

Budget of 100Mil in 90's money for the 1st vs 20Mil in naughties money for the 3rd sequel (direct to DVD). I'd imagine a lot of that money too was spent to get Casper back in the role when you consider the 2nd sequel cost 7Mil

The subsequent films were refuse compared to the pilot film, the original. Acting and scripts were for heaps and pile of garbage.
