- The Dream SMP and Songs of The SMP by @Derivakat are Minecraft's hidden gems. Today as a radio DJ I'll give my reactions to @Technoblade and Karl Jacobs' songs made by Derivakat.
I'll do that with my "Turn Back Time - Derivakat [Karl Jacobs Dream SMP original song]" reaction and "Syndicate - Derivakat [Technoblade Dream SMP original song]" reaction. Both Syndicate and Turn Back Time by Derivakat are remarkable songs that are so much fun to listen to and ROCK the Dream SMP!

The Dream SMP is a Minecraft 1.16.4 roleplay server starring @dream, @TommyInnit, @Technoblade, and @Ranboo, among others. Many musicians like Derivakat have come along but Derivakat may be the best creator of songs of the DMP.
Technoblade is known more for his actions off the Dream SMP, with videos like "Skyblock: Potato War 3 (FINALE)" and "skeppy tries to troll me but i troll him first". He has made a splash in the Dream SMP though with "It ends today. [Dream SMP]" and "First Meeting [Dream SMP]" and "forming a secret organization [Dream SMP]."
Most people know the Dream SMP for TommyInnit and Tubbo's battles with Dream. But the music is something special. Derivakat made a whole album called "Songs of the SMP" about the Dream SMP, also featuring "Welcome Home - Derivakat [TommyInnit Dream SMP original song]" and "In My Head - Derivakat [Ranboo Dream SMP original song]". Those are two songs alongside Syndicate - Derivakat and Turn Back Time - Derivakat that make up the Songs of the SMP.

I really love all of Derivakat’s songs, they’re all super catchy and unique. Specific enough so the listener can know what the story is, but vague enough that anybody who doesn’t follow Dream SMP lore can still imagine a different plot and/or just enjoy the jams. I would highly recommend “Ain’t No Crying”, “Welcome Home”, and “4AM”, which are my personal favorites out of the Dream SMP playlist she made. Her other songs are also a big bop, for instance, “Don’t Wanna Lose You”, which is currently my overall favorite song :D

The thing is that you haven't seen Technoblades' livestreams. They are mostly pretty chill livestreams, even when he was in pogtopia but the retiment arc and later had this vibe. He hasn't talked much about his music tastes but I love that there are 3 jazzy songs for his character.

Fun Fact! Karl uses 4AM and both of his theme songs from her as intro and credit songs for both lore and regular streams. Tubbo has also covered these songs on other streams as well.
DSMP lore wise, what you need to catch up on: I know you are watching Tommy's stream today, very exciting. Quackity has said on his priv twitter that his big lore stream is soon, and by the time you are watching this, you know he dropped a lot of hints about it. Catching up wise, Techno's egg and Syndicate streams. In addition, Karl's lore is becoming more and more important as well, so Tales From the SMP is good to catch up on. Lost City of Mizu is what I would suggest first, then Wild West, and then Haunted Mansion. Karl has said the next one is aimed to be the 16th but is subject to changed. Finally, the egg lore is picking up steam, with it approaching the climax. Hannah and Foolish are now heavily involved and lines are being drawn. The Eggpire is planning on hosting a "Red Banquet" with an unknown date, but Bad seems to have a big lore stream aimed for the 17th.

Turn back time is Karl's theme, and Ain't No Cryin' is lmanburgs theme
YObGS, if you're reading this, my favorite of the Tales was the Masquerade so I think you should watch that one too. (I may be biased however because that is the first Tales Stream I saw)

Ahhh I love her songs!! She has an album called “Songs of the SMP” entirely about the Dream SMP. Other ones I recommend from her are “In my Head” and “Ain’t no Cryin’”! Thank you for the reaction!!

One of the songs I recommend that Derivakat sung is 'Blue'.
But I also recommend 'L'manburg national athem. Ft: viewers' by kanaya, it includes 40+ people from the community all singing the anthem. I actually love it so much, it gives me so many chills.

@@nighthowlers7588 from what I know, Karl is a time traveler. He goes to different time periods in order to gain knowledge on how to save present time, but in doing so, loses some of his memories everytime he comes back.
@@cookiehunter1357 that's the basics of it, there's actually a lot of lore behind it too, they do however go a bit more easy on the story bits so it's less intense than the dream smp stuff. (expect a lot of fourth wall breaks)
Turn Back Time has actually become the credits music for Tales!!
Karl actually used this song in the end credits of the tales of the smp I have been looking for the person that made this and I finally found it

She had an album called "Songs of the SMP" you should check it. And the song "4 Am" and "Turn Back Time" had been used by Karl Jacobs on his streams (Turn back time is use on his Tales From The SMP)
My favorite one of her songs is “blue”. It’s a little more upbeat and silly, but I love it. It reminds me of running around in a grassy field with friends, and never fails to put me in a good mood
You really need to catch up to karl's tales because the way she portrayed his character in this is very accurate
I recommend The Precious Jewel Amor! She has a lot of really good smp songs like Tubbo’s Song aka Death Hole, Puppet on a String (a Dream song), Nothing to Lose (a Niki song), All for the Clothes of the Emperor (a Quackity song), and more!
Eret’s song is my personal favorite of hers.

They are a group of anarchists [Make of Niki, Technoblade, Philza, Ranboo and a mystery person]. Ranboo is married to Tubbo, who built a nation[Snowchester], and they have a son[A baby zombie piglin named Micheal]. The Syndicate decides to go to Snowchester to make sure it wasnt a government and Ranboo had to make sure Techno didn't find out about his marriage and son.

Yes!! I love all the songs they've made. These two songs are my favs along with Tell your story and Ain't no crying.
If you see this, I recommend checking out Alioof! They've written some absolute BANGERS!! One example is Never Meant to Be, Golden Boy, and Just a Kid! They've got a bunch of really good songs, and somehow they're pretty underrated!

You need to watch more technoblade perspective. His perspective on doomsday is AMAZING and the version you watch barely showed any of if because the entire time techno was joking and having fun and the person/people who made the video you watched hate anything not plot relevant. AKA not sad or serious. It was annoying to me. I dont request making a full reaction to it but watch it on your own time. Its unlisted but you can find it in technos stream playlist.

If you didnt notice, in "Turn Back Time", the words outside the circle are moving counter-clockwise because it's "turning back time"

My personal favorites of Derivakat's songs are Ain't No Crying (war song, not particularly directed at any event, although I think it works best for the Manberg Era), Welcome Home (Tommy) and 4 AM (this one's for us!) if you wanted to check out more!
both songs are great, karl actually used that song for one of his streams, if not more but cant remember, do hope you watch more tales of the smp some time but for more songs by them, i much like many others would say def check out "in my head" by derviakat, dropster also made an animatic of a part of the song aswell which is also great

"Ain't No Crying" is an absolute masterpiece, and one you should def check out sometime or another.
I enjoyed "Welcome Home" a lot, too- it refers to Tommy's exile and is so pretty.
Ranboo's song "In My Mind" was actually taken by DropstR, who made an Animatic off of it. Both song and animatic are excellent, if you get a chance to look at either one or even both.

one of my favorites it Eret's theme, especially the last chorus were all the voices sang, one voice stood out since it was shouting "all hail the king!"
