Necroposting but I saw a really cool theory recently. Phil used to braid all of his sons’ hair. Obviously you can still see techno’s and Phil’s, Wilbur’s is hidden underneath his coat (I think that was confirmed). Tommy, however, forgot how, and so always had short hair, that was until his exile where he got Ghostbur to braid it for him.

She explained it in the interview with Jack Manifold if you want to look it up. If I remember correctly, 2WEI were working on the new song and reached out to her asking if she'd be interested in using it in her new video/if it would work for it. I think that was it anyway. They also offered to help her with the audio editing and sound effects, although she had already done some of it but they took over from her and finished it so she could focus on the animation.

“The Fall” was what actually singlehandedly got me into the DSMP LMAO- i had no clue who anyone in it was beforehand and now i’m an artist in a DSMP musical
For the last one 2Wei actually collabed with SAD-ist.
I think 2WEI already finished his song before emailing SAD-IST and told her that she can use it on her next video (He hasn't gotten as much views in the songs used by her in three years so it's kinda understandable that he'd want her as free advertisement) I think they uploaded on the same day
@@chrono-glitchwaterlily8776 Yh that's what happened with the song but they also did a lot of the sound effects, like the blades clashing in the fight scenes or the fire crackling.
one tiny but amazing detail you missed in Hog Hunt was techno's arm regenerating partly around a bar of his little execution cage. He just kind of tears it out which is why you see blood on his forearm later!

The creative artistry side of the Dream SMP fandom is by far my favorite. There are so many good animations, fanarts, and songs that have come out of it. There’s plenty more to react to if you’re interested! I’d recommend animations by late august, the Dream SMP Anime opening by markymu, and chaos by toktopus. Also if you’re interested in the music side of things, derivakat and kanaya have some amazing Dream SMP songs :) thank you for the reaction

Dawn of the 16th really was a step up in the animation, you can see the improvement in the fluidity of the characters, its just so well done
what I like in the final waltz was the wink punz gives dream with a single frame before saying, "You should have payed me more." It's hard to spot.

a little detail! if you remember, techno’s hair got cut from the duel, and in each progressing animatic, its growing :D and dream’s scar from the duel can also be seen in some animatics!
Fun Facts!
In Hog Hunt, sadist shows the bond between Philza, Wilbur, Tommy, and Techno through the means of all of them having a braid in their hair. You can see Ghostbur’s in the opening clip, Philza’s as he’s looking up at the anvil, and Tommy’s is the smallest seen beside his left eye. Though canonically Techno isn’t blood related, they do all have a shared history together and this is a way she shows it subtly in this animation.
Hog Hunt has many subtle things in it that hold deeper meaning. Such as the first clip of Tubbo. We see his reflection in the axe, his expression is gentle until the axe tilts to reveal his scars with a darker expression. This symbolizes his character’s transformation from the beginning of the SMP, from innocence to someone battle worn and burdened and hardened from war.
Philza’s wings are depicted as damaged ever since his first appearance in the detonation room scene during the Dawn of 16th war, where he shielded his son from the explosion. He’s canonically depicted with wings because of his excellence in the use of the Elytra. Since no one is allowed to go to the End on the server, Philza technically has no means with which to actually fly, so his ‘damaged’ was a good solution to get around him being unable to actually have an elytra. (Story wise he may eventually find a way to fly if he is properly healed) Not only that, he also only has one canon life on the Dream SMP due to him being known for his hardcore series.

In hog hunt, at the end he said, “Welcome home Theseus!”. He’s referring to tommy Bc if you remember when he asked tommy if he wanted to be a hero in the fall of Manberg, he told the story of Theseus and how he saved everyone, but got exiled. That literally just explains tommy in like 2 seconds.

About DreamSMP as an animated series, there's actually a channel focused on making one! I don't think their team includes SAD-ist but the group is making songs, characters sheets and it's a really cool community. If you look it up I'm pretty sure there's a link to their discord on their channel

one of the things i love about how Sad-ist does stuff is you can see the characters age

Notice in hog hunt after techno used the totem his hand got stuck in the fence so he had to pull it out . I loved that detail for no reason 😃
I would love to see you react to the "Woe to the People of Order" animatic. It's basically a story of Technoblade's life on the SMP. You really get a whole new understanding of his character by watching it.

Things you may have missed or things that could use a little context (Sorry that this comment is so long there is a lot):
The scar on tubbos face and hand are from him being executed by techno via rocket launchers. (Only seen in "Dawn of 16th", "Elvelyn Elvelyn", "Hog Hunt")
Philzas cloak from behind ripples to look like elytra, Minecraft wings that he has in every MC game except the dsmp (because they're found in the end, which is banned). One side is torn, resembling his torn wing that he used to shield Wilbur during the explosions. (You can see him shield Wilbur with his wings in "Dawn of 16th)
Ghostburs blue ghost blood is around Techno's house because he visits often and even helped the butcher gang navigate the last bit to technos home, thinking they were there to visit. (This is in Hoghunt)
Techno hung up his fancy cloak because he had switched his skin to the Artic Empire, as had Phil. (Hog Hunt)
Crows are philzas animal messenger, responsible for sending/receiving his messages and how he communicates long distance (pming people in mc chat), something that has been canon confirmed by Phil. He's also leaning toward his chat being a bunch of crows, so he has a canon reason for chatting with them. (This is seen in Hog Hunt with the crow bringing Techno the letter in Hog Hunt)
When the butcher gang goes to kill techno, Ranboo is the only one not in armor. He didn't have a bloody butcher skin and was hesitant in all of these actions but went along. (Hog Hunt)
Ranboo also doesn't loot or break anything in philzas home during the ransacking. (Hog Hunt)
As the butcher army approaches technos home, Tubbo is in front but big Q is holding the torch, as Tubbo is technically the leader but Q is the one who is actually in charge. (Hog Hunt)
The reason Techno surrenders is because his favourite horse Carl was threatened. One of his top donators FossilNet said that if Carl dies he stops donating.
When techno surrenders, there's a few flashed images. One of them is philza with a creeper head on, hiding in the trees, as Phil had gone to watch from the shadows and used a creeper head so his peeking would blend in. He didn't want to be seen as Tubbo put him on house arrest for not helping them find techno (Hog Hunt)
When Punz attacked during the execution, Ranboo goes on full defense, not attacking just blocking. This is because he hates conflict and only fights in self defense (Hog Hunt)
When the totem activates, Techno is stitched up by a green strand (The colour of the totems), This could also be a way to show that he now owes Dream a favor and Dreams art for leverage is usually people with green strings leading back to him. (Hog Hunt)
Eret and Philza made a bit of lore that was included in Technos reforming scene. They had said that a totem doesn't stop death, but rather it regenerates everything in its area so fast that the death doesn't take hold (so you don't respawn and don't lose a canon life), which is why he tears apart and then mends quick. (Hog Hunt)
When Techno and Quackity fight, Techno's moves are all smooth and talented. He knows how to fight and is experienced, even with a pickaxe as his weapon. Quackity, on the other hand, is slower and more robotic, as he isn't as good of a fighter. (Hog Hunt)
All members of Sleepy Bois Inc (Techno, Philza, Tommy, Wilbur who have a sort of family dynamic) have braids for their connection. (Hog Hunt)
Both Tommy and Tubbo are seen with a chain sticking out, Tubbo in pocket and Tommy around his neck. These are their compasses - "Your Tommy" and "Your Tubbo" gifted to them by Ghostbur, that point to one another's homes (at the time the compasses were made) during the exile. (Hog Hunt)
Seperately, fun fact, Philza came up with some of his lore aesthetic based on his design in SADist animatics. He said he has always had wings, but his wing was so torn after shielding himself and Wilbur that he can't fly anymore. (This scene appeared in Dawn of 16th) His hope is that, if/when he dies, Dream would let him have a set of elytra so he can fly.

And if u look closely in the dream vs techno animation at 8:46 u can see techno's long hair got cut and dream got a scar on his face and after that animation in all the animation techno have short hairs and dream has a scar on his face
And at 22:27 it was ghostbur's hands because ghostbur is the only one with blue blood
And at 22:30 it was philza's crow on the window they were shown as like a messenger who gives message to philza as philza's skin is a bird

5:27 Sapnap pearled and tried to kill tommy but tubbo saved him showing tommy and tubbo's friendship and it was a great detail sadist added in that

And Sadist is a she and she does all these animations/animatics alone and all of the dream smp member watches her animations and some of them watch it on premiere too and i love it that she gets so much support from the community

Sad-ist has attention to details. Here are a handful for what I noticed.
From Dream vs Technoblade. Techno got his hair cut by Dream, therefore he has short hair throughout the DreamSMP series.
So in The Fall at 1:24 we see Dream with a band-aid on his nose because he got his face cut by Techno back at the Duel.
The Crows from Dawn of the 16th represents Philza, as he appeared after the crows at 1:18
Then lastly Hog Hunt.
At the beginning, we see Ghostbur.
The Crow, at 0:46 was one of Phil's messengers(or Phil's Chat). That is the reason why Techno is reading a note/letter, alongside the Blue droplets at 0:49 That represents Ghostbur with his "blue" also his considered Blood.
Then we see Ghostbur about to warn Technoblade that he was being hunted by the Butcher Gang.
At 1:35 we see Phil showing his Wings and one was broken. That's because Phil protected Wilbur from getting blown up by the explosion back at Dawn of the 16th.
At 1:58 , we see alot of scenes and if you pause at the right time. We will see Phil with a Creeper Head on spying on them, and Ghostbur's handprint from a tree bark

At 2:36 we see Ghostbur with Friend, Ghostbur seems to be an Omen.
And the 1v1 with Quackity and Techno at 3:07 , Quackity got slashed on the eye and his Minecraft Skin shows that perticular scar.
Lastly the Sleepy Bois Inc. Or Wilbur, Techno, Tommy and Phil all have Braids on their hair because they are a canonical Family in the DreamSMP.

Sorry, but while they may have a family dynamic, Sleepy Bois Inc. are not all canonically blood related on the DreamSMP. Wilbur is Philza’s only blood-related son. Techno is old friends with Phil, and Tommy sees Phil as a sort of father figure.

Okay so the horse’s name is Carl and it was named by one of Techno’s biggest donator. The donator said that he would stop donating if Techno let the horse die. So the horse is Techno’s retirement plan.
