If the supposed camshaft had broken in use, as in engine running, there would of been a lot of valves bent, as there are not many engines around with that type of clearance
At least 6 of the cam lobes that I saw had dents and heavy wear on them. There is no phasing of the cam lobes to get the correct opening and closing degree. Plus, the journal next to the repair is blue from heat, which will make it wear rapidly. A piece of junk mocked up as a repair to gain clicks. In short, clickbait.
had enough weld penetration to hold , there was a lot of weldingspatter on the camlobes though and im not sure if the pieces are clocked correctly and if it is straight enough to not wipe out the cambearings
And these camshaft is ready to be thrown into the garbage. Few lobs are worn, now part is overheated. And 0.05 mm of being not straight makes it a piece of scrap.
