Still jamming this in 2024. I will never forget seeing these guys live on a band trip to Disney. We were all in awe back then as I still am today over 20 years later. I'll never forget these guys.

Amazing TALENT!!! Plus crazy choreography! The amount of HOURS needed to perform at that level is beyond my comprehension!!

Dear Disney: Please bring these guys back. I know Mark Zauss still plays with a group in the Magic Kingdom, but I'm sure that DCI is still breaming with young talent waiting to get a chance like this.

There is a very small sub-sect of the human race that will understand with the necessary technicality how incredibly impossible this song is to play and how absolutely perfectly these guys were nailing it - with surgical precision - while marching. This theme is notorious for being a difficult piece, especially amongst musicians, and these 13-14 guys pulled it off whilst producing sounds just as powerful as a full marching band. This is just absolutely incredible. The fact that people are just walking by while this is happening absolutely mystifies me.

I know right? I'd be following them around the whole day. Screw rides and whatever else Disney has to offer. This is world-class music being made right in front of you.

The fact that people are just walking by should be a tip off that Future Corps is doing their job incredibly well.

The 90s was an incredible time for performance art. We went out to Orlando, FL for the DCI Finals and caught The Future corp a few times. Returning back to SoCal. We got to see Tom Float and two others in the Trash can trio…

Neat thing is people keep finding this and enjoying an appreciating it - 5 years after it was posted and 23 years after it was performed. Today's "drum corps" doesn't give me goose bumps like this.

That is so awesome- arrangement, chord structure, runs, execution, tone quality, etc. I need to put this video on a loop and just eat, sleep, and listen to it.

There is definitively something missing of Epcot without that Horizons building on the Future World West side of the park.

The rolling drum kits came later, I guess. Poor guy carrying the triple bass drums, now that was monstrous.

Not sure exactly when it was, but based on videos posted, somewhere around 1997. Never cared for the rolling racks. Didn't matter if it was the 5 bass or the 6 bass configuration, they just didn't project as well.

Sad that the modern Disney main band is trying to copy this. I don't think Walt envisioned a mini drumcorps show for the main Disney band. Supposed to be 1890's "town band" for them. That said, they really should bring back Future Corps.

contrabass bugle actually.. calling it a contra could confuse it with the contrabass tuba also more commonly shortened to tuba.
Sorry had to do it. :P

    That's not a trumpet, it's a soprano bugle.
