i started farming rifts today on torment1. started the day with 350k dps 3 mill toughness. ended the day on torment 3 1.1 million dps and 8 mill toughness... ziggy. gonna start listening to your farming advice more often.
Jon Saunders considering i got a socketed wind force along with some bracers and a necklace in 1 rift run, you'd be surprised. 59% crit chance. 7400 dex and 415% crit damage from 31%crit 4600 dex and only 200% crit damage. i also got a quiver with 750 dex. 10% crit chance and 20% attack speed. i'd just like to add i've used the same level 60 natalya's crossbow and cloak since day 1 of Ros.
***** Nice one, I just love my new dead mans legacy quiver I found yesterday that brought me close to 1.2 Million DPS, it is just so fun to play D3 as of now, great game and very rewarding!
Hey ZiggyD. One factor you might be forgetting with armor is that its the first stat taken into consideration when a hit doesnt get dodge. Resistances are tested after that. This means that armor becomes and insanely profitable stat because it will be taking of a larger %amount of damage. I'll illustrate this with a simple exampje. Imagine have 50% armor damage reduction and 50% resistance to the school you are getting hit by. The damage incoming is 1000. First it would check against your armor. This reduces the damage by 500 (1000x.5) Next up is ress. This reduces it by 50%. 250 damage goes off (500x.5) Hope that helps!
I spec DEX, Attack Speed, Life and Area just because I'm mainly using Rapid Fire, Rain of Vengeance and i have Zero Channeling cost to Rapid Fire and Natalya's cool down on RoV. Just watched this to find out about each stat more so.
Zac Palmer you get it from legendary equipment, and when u get the legendary equipment u can take it to kanais cube and extract it and put it to your other stronger equipment
Is it really that much better to get max hatred over dex? I'm paragon 399 atm, I have considered it before but I get to the next mob fast enough that my hatred doesn't reach the cap again so I don't really see much value in it other then for the reaper's wraps
Yeah, if you aren't hitting the cap then it wont be worth it to you (if you also aren't using reaper's wraps). If that is the case then you may have some things in your build and gearing you need to fix first so you are regening hatred enough (prep punishment, more resource cost reduction, more regen, more CC etc).
ZiggyD Gaming Well, I mean I do have a nice pair of reapers wraps and I generate hatred pretty good (34ish% cost reduction, still need Cindercoat and pride fall :[), but the only time I ever really starve out is on rift bosses, in which case I don't feel max would actually help me out at all. Well anyway, other then that all the same conclusions I came to :) Still enjoyed watching anyway. Finally finished my Denetta's set today :) only about half the dps of my Cluckeye sadly, but i'm looking forward to trying some of those speed runs I've seen you do, just wish I hadn't sold my legacy Nat's Mark :( can't wear my hand crossbow at the same time as this set, would have been sweet to have 3 discipline per second combined with the Denetta's
ZiggyD Gaming Ziggy, I think it is worth noting also some other synergies and options available to the demon hunter class. Such as Windforce with Strongarm Bracers (If you use Hungering Arrow - Puncture Shot you will have the % damage increase all the time, Knockback does not work on elite Bosses (Yellow names) or Rift Bosses, it will work on Blue and Purple though and large monsters it Does proc a knockback of sorts, more of an interrupt) Or the Royal Ring of Grandeur with Set items, you could even do Ninth Cirri Satchel with Hungering Arrow (Buriza with Devouring Arrow or Bola Shot). Now Granted some of this may not get the high numbers of the burst that we are currently seeing with Cluster Arrow, but for me, I think I would prefer a Blind Faith Helm over the resource reduction one because Blinded enemies don't attack. So, at that point, resource Regen would become a moot point. And Blind does work on all mob types. So does slow, which I would like to point out that the Demon Hunter has a few ways to slow mobs. 1. Caltrops - Has a Slow Rune 2. Ess of Jonah - Amulet - Pull enemies to your target 40-60% chance and slow them by 60-80% for X amount of time. 3. Cord of Sherma - Belt - Creates a large ground effect that Slows and blinds targets for X amount of time 4. Kridershot with Elemental Arrow - Frost Arrow 5. Spider Companion 6. Entangling Shot I would advise a Combo of 1-2 if not 3 of these methods for consistent slow effects, for me, I like using various skills, so I plan on obtaining my Slow via Ess of Jonah, Cord of Sherma, and Spider Companion. Should be a good time.
wait you say that your twin chakrams is a hatred generator... but mine costs 10 hatred per cast. do you have resource regen so it pretty much costs nothing?
Yeah mainly DH. I play a lot of other classes in Hardcore and Im leveling a SC Crusader now too. I may also play some Monk and Wiz soon but there is still a lot I want to do on DH for now.
ZiggyD Gaming i guess they decided that with the new loot 2.0 system magic find was redundant. and with adventure mode. you can stock up on horodric caches and try to find more legendaries that way. plus from what i remember in the higher difficulties the chance of finding legendaries increases neway
ZiggyD Gaming there's also the fact that they probably figured people would be using legendaries a lot more at high levels and either salvaging or storing legendaries that they find along the way plus the fact that with no magic find stat available on gear. players like me arent going to waste time and resources trying to make gear with magic find
Trying to find something for my weird demon hunter build, Im currently running 3 sets mixed together to benefit from each and a legendary that reduces set item bonus by 1. So i have Shadow, Marauders and Natalya's along with my quiver that removes Rapid Fires channeling cost, i basically can spam that and Rain of Vengeance constantly while also getting buffs from Shadow Power (all runes) and Companion ( all of them ) and then Vengeance when ever its off cool down which is about ever minute or so. I have decent DPS and Clear times but i just can't get away from the fact all my items gear towards Bonus fire damage. i got like 50% bonus fire damage so all my skills are limited to fire based ones. Anyone else run a build like this or could suggest a way to change the build? i tried full Shadow but didn't like the Melee DH style.
I just specced attack speed cause I dont really have any fanc legendaries with cost reduxtion or antyhing. so I used Entangling Shot / Justice is served to replenish my hatred. more atk speed more cluster arrows.
Well this isn't a build, just a guide to paragon points. But here's a build you can do with terrible gear: Diablo 3 RoS: Demon Hunter Torment Burst Farming Build - Getting into Higher Difficulties
It does me and my clan mates developed a 98% accurate dps calculator and it definitely affects dps. I don't necessarily agree with ziggyd's build because he can easily change around a few skills to maximize dps. His build is decent for soloing but not for dps in groups where you don't need movement speed very much at all. Our clan has 136 members and we require team speak so we all get each others input and opinions. I have been playing around 10 hours each day since the RoS launch so I know what im talking about. us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/steele-1568/hero/42880751
2 flawless royals and a flawless royal diamond and the pants to higher gems also, it just costs a shit ton to make atm but ive been farming hell rifts in act 4 t6 but ive ran out of gems. Also im still working on rolling the ring to more crit hit damage im currently at roll #43, trying to find a better amulet, and praying to the rng gods for a garwulf cloak...
Kenneth Smith I dont think there is a true cap. If you look at the tabs; Offense, Defense, and Utility have 4 choices with a 50 point max per choice. The core tab however, only has 2 choices than can be maxed out. so technically at 800 you could have 50 points per each choice in each tab. But since Vitality and the stat for your class cannot be maxed, i on't think there is a cap because each additional point would just go into those two stats..
i havent bought RoS yet so i could be completely wrong on this one. but, if you maxed out critical hit chance percentage on you paragon points, you wouldnt have to focus so hard on getting gear with high crit chance to cap you out, and one could focus on finding gear with more critical damage and main stats. thus one could mold his gear better to his build, because they wouldnt have to worry as hard about crit cap, right?
I thought that paragon levels didn't had cap! And I wish that tooltips of skill change when you have some cd reduction and cost reduction, come on Blizzard other games can do it, your game can do that to!!!
just love when my reapers dont roll a primary stat. Fuck blizzard and their stupid stat system. This game is so fucking boring because all you need is crit/mainstat/vit to do well but they have this retarded secondary stat stuff as well as really broken RNG like rolling 5 not 6 stats on a legendary item that says it can only roll 6.
Thanks for the guide. I especially didn't know about the movement speed cap, so I was wasting points and immediately placed them into hatred.
Great video! You have given me some ideas on what to do with my paragon points for the second and fourth tab.
Thanks Ziggy!! Just got my DH to lev 70 last night so this will be helpful!!!
i started farming rifts today on torment1. started the day with 350k dps 3 mill toughness. ended the day on torment 3 1.1 million dps and 8 mill toughness... ziggy. gonna start listening to your farming advice more often.
you gained over 700k dps in one day of farming? lol..
Jon Saunders Yeah, I don't believe that.

Cool guide dude keep up the good work.
Silly question, how do you acquire more than one Wolf pet?!
Cloak of Garwulf , its his legendary cloak.
Zac Palmer you get it from legendary equipment, and when u get the legendary equipment u can take it to kanais cube and extract it and put it to your other stronger equipment
My man ZiggyD! Thanks for the guide!
Finaly a Guide that is usefull. Thanks!
Very informative video! Thank you very much, sir!
God Job bro very Nice paragon

Nice post Dude, liked and subbed
Thanks and welcome!
My night stalker generates 4 hatred for each primary move, rather than 1 discipline for a crit, what's up with that?
Preparation punishment is on cool down rather than discipline, has all this been nerfed?
wait you say that your twin chakrams is a hatred generator... but mine costs 10 hatred per cast. do you have resource regen so it pretty much costs nothing?
I say dexteirity is most important or any main attribute
Do you play mostly demon hunter? Are there any other classes that you will be showing on this cannel.
PS. keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah mainly DH. I play a lot of other classes in Hardcore and Im leveling a SC Crusader now too. I may also play some Monk and Wiz soon but there is still a lot I want to do on DH for now.
what the hell happened to the magic find boost that was in the beta paragon changes?
They wanted to effectively remove Magic Find. It's been nerfed pretty hard (gives only 10% effectiveness for legendary drops).
ZiggyD Gaming i guess they decided that with the new loot 2.0 system magic find was redundant.
and with adventure mode. you can stock up on horodric caches and try to find more legendaries that way.

area damage sucks when on a DH come on when are you within 10 yards?
10 yards around the target that gets hit, not the player.
lol, honest mistake there. The tooltip is not very specific on this matter I agree.
Where did you get your chest armor ?! I want it so bad !!!
It's a random world drop, nothing to do but farm and gamble on chest armor.
so it will drop in this pacha right now ?
Yeah, for sure.
How did you keep using preparation like that?
Hi, i have a DH paragon 50 with "crap" gear (cant find better and i'm too poor to craft). Is this build viable to me? Thanks a lot.
Well this isn't a build, just a guide to paragon points. But here's a build you can do with terrible gear: Diablo 3 RoS: Demon Hunter Torment Burst Farming Build - Getting into Higher Difficulties
ZiggyD Gaming oh, ok. Thanks! =)
Good info, great explanations thanks
I don't think Area Damage procs off of itself

2 flawless royals and a flawless royal diamond and the pants to higher gems also, it just costs a shit ton to make atm but ive been farming hell rifts in act 4 t6 but ive ran out of gems. emilaaa444 In case you didn't see my channel I skateboard quite a bit ;)
it does not. Area damage only procs rom the main attack.
I have movement speed ,int/dex/str ,attack speed ,regen life and life on hit and it works on all my chars :) (got paragon lvl 86)
are paragon levels capped?
Technically you can put 200 points per tab, there are 4 tabs, so 200x4 = 800 paragon points. So unless I'm mistaken, 800 would be the levels cap.
Luke is correct. Paragon is NOT capped. You can drop points into your main stat and your vitality as much as you please.
i havent bought RoS yet so i could be completely wrong on this one. but, if you maxed out critical hit chance percentage on you paragon points, you wouldnt have to focus so hard on getting gear with high crit chance to cap you out, and one could focus on finding gear with more critical damage and main stats. thus one could mold his gear better to his build, because they wouldnt have to worry as hard about crit cap, right?
I just want a lvl 70 Kridershot.
I thought that paragon levels didn't had cap!
And I wish that tooltips of skill change when you have some cd reduction and cost reduction, come on Blizzard other games can do it, your game can do that to!!!
I think the cap might be 800, because then you will have all stats maxed out. Not sure though
Transeria
It is exactly as you said.
Transeria
So Blizzard lied about no cap!
Oh yeah, that would be awesome -.- kind of dumb to not see how much cooldown is actually reduced by cdr... have to calculate on your own :(
There is a soft cap. When you reach 800 points can only be spent on Main stat and Vitality. There is no hardcap that I'm aware of.
crit dmg and crit chance should be 1/10, for example if you have 40% chance and 350% dmg just put more into crit dmg to have 400%. Tested ;p
I want to max my attack speed. Ill spend my paragon points on that area first.
just love when my reapers dont roll a primary stat. Fuck blizzard and their stupid stat system. This game is so fucking boring because all you need is crit/mainstat/vit to do well but they have this retarded secondary stat stuff as well as really broken RNG like rolling 5 not 6 stats on a legendary item that says it can only roll 6.
