    I remember when my dad told me that about 24 years ago, in 1997 when he was 16, he left Michoacan, Mexico at AGR 16 and i cannot imagine go to a whole different country at a young age but at 1st he had nothing now he has 2 nice houses, 4 great cars, and a beautiful family

      theultimateninja you can't generalize. Mexicans treat their fellow Latinos nicely. They even go as far as to help. But the cartels are the ones attacking them. But if you do your research these cartels that attack aren't just Mexican Latinos, they're members are from all sorts of Latin countries. So really it's latinos attacking Latinos in general.

    For all of you saying that it's hypocritical that Mexico has a border or immigration laws but then has Mexicans coming over let me tell you that a country has to have immigration laws wether they're followed or not. For Mexico, they don't fallow the laws, it's easy to come into Mexico illegally with like $10 USD. And Mexico's border is like a backyard fence. It really isn't the same. And on top of that many other Latin Americans can easily become legal citizens of Mexico. They just choose not to. Which is why they end up having to bribe the police officers.

    I'm a mexican 22 year old middle class guy. I live in Mexico City however I have had the oportunity of living in Canada for 3 years. When I watched this vid and kinda tried to put myself in the perspective of lots of immigrants, I asked myself if I have been spending my life in this terrenal life. The girl never met her mom, the guy that got deported from the States and has a daughter, the other 4/6 that doesn't make it to their final destination. I mean, there has to be something I can do. Man, this video really made me think of volunteering with Solalinde father.

      the best thing you could do whilst in Mexico City is help people who have been sent back from the USA, they will have no food, money, no place to rest or sleep, etc. You could help people keep in touch with families in the USA still by providing ways of communication, etc. Think outside the box, you dont need to help people become citizens by any means!

She was not allowed to cross the border if she allowed three men to rape her 😔 and it’s also sad to know that most of the women that come from Central America have t do those things in order to get money or get across. the root that my mom took was really dangerous and most of the people who she road with didn’t make it and some got sick and jumped off the train..her story of how she got here really traumatized me and it’s also heartbreaking

If you work this hard to reach a place then you deserve to live here as much as those who were born in the U.S. I was lucky enough to migrate from El Salvador to the U.S in a legal manner. Fortunately, I was bless and I want to thank God, my step dad, mom and all my entire family for helping me reach a goal that I never wanted to reach. As a child growing up in El Salvador, I didn't dream/thought of coming to the US. Now that I am here, I realize that a dream that I never dreamt of has become reality.

    as a mexican i tired of Americans saying " all illegals immigrants come from mexico " when is this people that come to USA because usa allows them to stay legally just ask your friend from central american what NACARA is. yes USA gives legal residency tho this poeple and then cry later that the country is full of illegals. you create laws and refuge migration laws that are being abuse by people that come from central American countries and just fuel illegal immigration. it blows my mind that americans dont even know that the own government has laws that lure illegals to come to usa. american media lies and say that all people come from mexico that is not truth mexico is being invade by illegals too and crime as increase because many of this immigrants come to work for cartels. that is the truth.

    My grandmother immigrated to the U.S. in 1918 legally with her family, and she raised a family that loves this nation. It is hard for me as a 2nd generation mexican American, because I am a veteran of my nation, for my people, the American people. However, my mother grew up 1st generation American as a migrant worker in W. Texas, Ok, Ark, and has only an 8th grade education. She made it her life's mission that I would be educated and have the true "American dream". My grandmother will always be the greatest woman I will ever know, but we cannot allow thousands, millions of undocumented aliens to enter this nation. I understand their conditions, I have seen such things in Europe and overseas first hand. I grew up on the AFDC programs myself, although poverty in the U.S. is NOTHING when you go to Central America, south Mexico, the Phillipines, India, etc. Nothing. NONE of our poor know poverty like those people know poverty, only our homeless. My opinion on it is this: We cannot afford to be the welfare state of the world, we just cannot. We have the right to our borders, we are a sovereign nation. If we just walked into Mexico and said you know what, you will now take all of our homeless and poor, good luck with that!! They would have a problem with it and would be like WT Heck are you talking about...yet they expect US to take in all of their poor, to give assistance to their women who DO tend to have alot of babies. Its a fact, I come from a mexican American family lol, im one of 28 first cousins. We have babies, let me tell you lol. And we are expected to accept wave after wave of destitute, when we have our OWN destitute, the inner cities, LOS ANGELES, SAN FRANCISCO, Appalacia. We have to care for us first. I see this woman, and I see my great-grandparents who took their family across the bridge into Texas. But they did it the right way, and there is no other way around that.

    You know, no matter what anyone says people entering the US from Mexico should really just work for actual citizenship. I am not against them coming here, my family came from Poland in 1902 and Luxembourg in 1840, so I know that immigration is important, but they should really at least attempt to get actual citizenship. It's not really that hard, I have plenty of friends who have gotten legitimate citizenship.

    • @milkymanway
      @milkymanway 11 лет назад +25

      i totally agree with you, but it is a lot fucking harder for mexicans or most latin americans to get citizenship than it ever was for european immigrants. i have a friend whos mom is from mexico, and has been here and worked here for more than 20 years and is barely able to start her process into getting her citizenship. everyone who comes tries to become citizens, but for whatever reason they dont hand citizenship out to people from latin america (unless theyre political refugees, but this doesnt apply to many people, especially not mexicans) like they do for other immigrants. so what really needs to happen is better immigration policies for these people, it would solve a lot of the problems were seeing because of this

    • @l0vErBoy737

      I agree with you 100%, the issue is that trying to get citizenship while in another country is even harder then trying to get your citizenship when you're in the US! Did you know that you have to pay around $800 alone just to apply for citizenship? Then you have a long waiting period until your case is reviewed. Then if your case is approved you will have either 2 or 3 chances to take a test. The test is basic US history and culture, which would be easy for those who went to school here, but the people taking the test never even finished high school! Let alone learn US history. And the things I just stated is just the process for the people living here, who knows what people applying outside of the US have to go through. It's really not as easy as it seems.

    Not too many years ago when I lived in Arizona, It was made known that the border people wanted to make things more efficient by clearing the trees along the border in the Huachuca mt.s between the city of Nogales and Fort Huachuca. A friend and I camped and cut firewood just a few yard north of the line. A the time the news was full of the trouble the Border Patrol was having stopping smuggling and illegal entry there. We could harvest firewood at a very low price to clear the area. We expected to see officers every day, heliocoptrers, etc. We saw no one. We hauled pickup loads of firewood to Tucson every week, and one day as we were changing a flat a tire a federal truck came diving up and jokingly, asked if we had any drugs under all that wood. We laughed and told them if they wanted to look under that wood they would have to load and unload it themselves. They declined. At that time of my life I had a minor drug record, and my friend had been a green beret Sargent who had trained troops on manuevers at Fort Huachuca. Not once in those weeks did we see a plane go over, or a Gov. vehicle go by. There was no sensors, fence, or anything to mark the border. This was when the big fence was supposed to be going in. Remember? Mexicans are fine honorable people and were here first too. This is more than I can say for our lying cheating government. Satan is alive and well in Washington DC.

    These poor people, pushed to such dramatic action by unforgiving conditions. If America would focus more of scientific advances and schooling, they could abandon oil in favor of nuclear and renewable energies [an exceedingly difficult transition], create more efficient medical facilities and better service, and a host of other beneficial things. This would help stabilize the economy, and better education would inspire students to help such unfortunates.

I know some Central Americans hate Mexicans, but that is because they go through hell at the hands of Mexican criminals and those gangs that call themselves the police. I'd also like to extend this call to the Central Americans who blindly hate Mexicans on account of a few of our misbehaved brothers. Please do not let these criminals represent all Mexicans. In reality both of us, Mexicans and Central Americans, are both fleeing the violence and economic instability of our native lands so let us not hate one another because as Latinos we should be united not divided.

    Every time I hear an American shouting racist abuse on the blogs I lol. You claim to be a Christian country but only so far as it doesn't affect your bottom line.
    I've been very fortunate to have travelled around central America and the states and both areas are full of wonderful people, rich in culture and united behind a common goal. Everyone just wants the chance to have a happy life, raise a family and look back on a good life.
    This attitude of looking down on the poorest and most vulnerable people is disgusting. Nationality is a worn out idea. Most people are poor, its just in relative terms. People lucky enough to be born on the right side of the line drawn by men hundreds of years ago should try to understand how fortunate they are. When we see our common humanity then maybe we can unite as a species.

    Breaks my heart to see good hard working people separated from their families and sent back to Mexico. Why should we turn away people who want nothing more than to achieve the American dream and live with their families here and become citizens and pay taxes and put more money into our economy. I can understand why people would be afraid that the immigrants might take away jobs from Americans but they're not exactly working the best jobs. The jobs they're working in are ones that the overwhelming majority of Americans don't want anyway. Sending criminals back I can definitely understand but sending them back over anything less than a felony is completely unnecessary. People with family here especially shouldn't be sent back. No family should ever be separated.

    • @charlech
      @charlech 10 лет назад

      BECAUSE they crossed illegally. It sucks that they lived in third world but they shouldn't be like losers. If we don't kick them out then we are encouraging more illegal immigration, which is illegal. This is a matter of principle and I would even advocate that the entire family be sent back so they aren't separated.

    • @Eric_8724
      @Eric_8724 10 лет назад

      xp0lym4thx What do we have to gain by sending them back though? If they're going to work here and spend money here they're just helping our economy. It would make more sense to allow more of them to stay and achieve citizenship so they can start paying our taxes too and doing even more good for our economy. Immigration was what made this country great in the first place and discouraging it certainly isn't in our best interest no matter what some paranoid part of the population who thinks these immigrants will just be taking away our jobs might think. I guess what I'm saying isn't that we should just ignore the law but that the law shouldn't exist at all and we should just welcome these immigrants who help grow our economy rather than turn them away.

    • @ezas533

    • @charlech
      @charlech 10 лет назад

      iamedge452 WOW you are crazy.You naively think that that illegals = contributing to economy, and we should just open up our borders for their entrance. The fact is that illegal immigration decreases wages for legal citizens,and illegal immigrants can create a "tax burden" on an economy by consuming a greater government services than they contribute in tax revenue (Fact: only few of them ACTUALLY pay).How the hell can they be spending money if they don't even have some? You didn't realize that most of them are just here to send their money back to wherever they originate. Your argument only works for rich foreigners.
      Fact: Immigration MUST be controlled. It's not like if foreign workers are prohibited to come in. In addition, they are useless. We need highly skilled immigrants (who actually contribute) but not scumbags who rely on illegal means to achieve what they want.
      Tim Z lol yeah, because mexican government absolutely thinks that mexico is a place for Americans to dump their trash.

    A few things:
    -College isn't that expensive, my local university is 3k a semester for a full time student
    -There are a shit ton of loan opportunities, and most student loans don't even have interest
    -Tech schools are even cheaper than colleges, can be completed faster, and can land jobs that are 4-5x the minimum wages
    -lastly and most importantly, COLLEGE IS NOT A GUARANTEED JOB. If you decide to major in history, good luck finding a job

    We should move to the new world order and socialism to balance wealth, natural resources and reduce political corruption, racism, illegal trade and other crimes and give everybody a decent job, car and modest house. Elect Bernie Sanders 2016.

    I'd also like to point out that schooling is not a substitute for things like
    -showing up to work on time
    -wearing clean clothes
    -being polite
    -doing the job that is asked of you
    -working overtime if needed
    Theres plenty of people with degrees that have personal problems that are preventing them from achieving steady employment

    Why don't we Americans just seal off our borders so that Central Americans don't have to risk their lives trying to get across ours? Also, I require a fairly large amount of space to feel content and I feel like there are many others that feel the same way. Just think, how many people search real estate online my sq. feet. Wouldn't allowing more immigrants legal or illegal be counter intuitive to our comfort. I once visited DC and witnessed first hand what row housing is. I immediately moved all the way to Alaska just because it is the least likely state to ever adopt this. Think about your descendants. Most likely they will have considerable less room to live in comfort. They may also end up mixed as well. Say goodbye to space and purity. You can thank yourselves for standing idle and watching it happen. I hope you're happy.

      ***** Well first off, I am a citizen born and raised. Second, anyone with access to the internet can see exactly what happened in the 80's. However you can also see the billions worth of currency that has been placed back into Central America via directly or indirectly. For every cent of United States currency in Central America, consider it a contribution because it wouldn't be there if it weren't for us. The United States is a sovereign nation governed by its people. Do you understand what this means? This means that any notion of access to this nation, assets, and it's people must be approved by its people. Not the other way around. You're living in the past. Look forward not back. I put in a lot of watch hours and a lot of time to serve this country, its people, and this cause.

      ***** I have to be honest, I can appreciate a stringent immigration policy regardless of history. The harder it is to get in the better. Those that do get in I will show the exact same respect to them as I give to my mother. This country is not big enough to support the numbers that we are climbing to. It's not impossible to get here legally, many people do. However, life gives us cards. it's up to us to play them properly. Sometimes we get dealt really bad hands like not having enough cash to even make it to North America. I would tell them to bring a few cards of their own up their sleeve, but that wouldn't really be legal now would it. There is no way around this. I empathize with latin countries, I really do.

We have free medical care, good food, great weather, no guns, and zero racism tolerance, even though a few dickheads still do. Every single day I'm grateful for what I have. I never underestimate how lucky I am to live here.

      Austin Hussey 1. Unless America's government stops interfering in other people's countries, immigration will continue to be a problem.
      2. The CIA went into Latin America, staged and sponsored coups because the presidents were dying to utilize their local resources for their people so that they don't have to go to America.
      3. Read about what the CIA did in Chile, Bolivia, Guatemala, Cuba, etc. Today, Cuba is the only surviving giant saying no to the CIA mischief and bloodshed. Castro kicked out U.S corporations who were sucking the blood out of Cubans, ie, United Sugar.
      4. Read about Che Guavara and why the CIA sought to kill him at any cost.
      5. Finally, I won't blame you because American education system is too corrupted right now for you to know of these. You'll know everything about Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, etc though. Stop sucking the blood of other nations if you don't want them to migrate to your country to share the loot.

      HERE IS A WORD OF ADVICE TO THE UNITED STATES, STOP WORSHIPPING AND HONERING DEAD AMERICAN PRESIDENTS AND DEAD AMERICAN SOLDIERS, THEY'RE IN HELL NOW, IF ANY AMERICANS OUT THERE THINK THAT USA IS JUST TOO GOOD SHOULD BE PUNISHED BY GOD THEN CONSIDER THAT USA HAS ENGAGED IN WAR FARE SINCE ITS INCEPTION KILLING MILLIONS OF INNOCENTS IN ITS LUST FOR EMPIRE NATIVE AMERICANS , MEXICANS , CONFETERS, SPAINERDS / ALL DIED RESISTING THE MANIFEST DESTINY OF UNCLE SAM WW1, WW2 OFFERED THE USA ANOTHER CHANCE TO FIGHT WARS FAR FROM HER SHORES , DISTORTING NATION PEOPLE'S AND CULTURES THEN IT WAS WARS COMMUNISM'S , DRUGS, TERROR NEVER ENDING CONFLICT THAT USA WORSHIPS WAR .. SO I DONT SEE WHY RUSSIA,CHINA AND MEXIXO DEFEATING THE UNITED STATES IS A BAD THING. THE UNITED STATES IS THE NEW WORLD SEAT OF SATAN.

    As a Mexican Who has walked the border as a tourist, it is a site to behold. Mexican army men control the border and they will let people walk through it freely if they have Mexican papers. Guatemalans are not let through to the Meixcan side so easily. Just below the bridge, you could see Guatemalans walk to Mexico and back carrying barrels filled with gasoline on their backs towards the Guatemalan side to resell it, as it is cheaper in Mexico. The army ignores them as they know they will go back Guatemala, but the ones that travel empty handed are known to never return, so the Mexican army stops public buses, asking simple questions that are answered effortlessly by Mexican, but not by Guatemalans, asking them to sing the national anthem in occasion. They are returned to Guatemala. The Mexican army operates very differently than the US army. They have a policy of letting people work if they are in Mexico temporarily and hunt them down if they don't plan on returning to Guatemala, but every Guatemalan must go home eventually. Even some come to work in our high altitude coffee fincas, bringing their children as the men represent cheap labor and the Mexican landowners provide the children with schools. Again, all temporary residence is allowed as long as it is temporary.
