What kind of suet do you put in the drilled hole? Do you push pellets in?

The suet pellets are just standard from our local pet food store. I have sometimes used insect flavoured or berry flavour, they are just plain at the moment. I push them in to fill the holes more fully and to prevent them from falling out. Also, when I am photographing birds feeding on the suet it slows them down. Otherwise they would just grab a pellet and go. Hope that is helpful.
