GNSS Master App allows to configure the receiver either in base or rover mode. I was wondering if the selected mode is kept (i.e memorized) after leaving the app and powering down the receiver. Rgds
Hello, I am currently testing the app. Seems working well but ... Data transmitted from ardusimple kit via USB : OK Correction received via ntrip : OK. Skyplot is OK (all satellites green). But ... I get DGPS status instead of FIXED. Why ? Rgds.
Seems you are only missing to connect to a local base station that provide RTK corrections. You can check a database of base stations here: www.ardusimple.com/rtk-correction-services-in-your-country/
what is the gps accuracy of new dual frequency smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S24? Does it make sense to add this kit/functionality? Somewhere I heard new S24 already has few cm gps accuracy...
As far as we know the technology of Samsung S24 with centimeter accuracy is for distance measurement based on local beacons, for example for navigation in a shopping mall. It's not for outdoor positioning with GPS, in these conditions its precision is of 1-2-3 meters. If you have some different information let us know so we can review it. One example use case of this technology can be to confirm if your neighbor built its fence on your piece of land, by comparing the location of the fence with the maps of the local cadaster
@@ardusimple I am not sure either, anyway I need GPS for outdoor navigation checking the cadastral maps on plots of land. 1-2 m accuracy is just fine...
@@Manolo8949 If 1-2 meters is enough, you can still use the phone. But if at some point you need more accuracy, you know how to find it! you will find more options of professional kits here www.ardusimple.com/professional-sets/
Unfortunately iOS currently doesn't support replacing the internal GPS by an external one. With iPhone what we can propose it to use a separate app that does support external GPS: www.ardusimple.com/how-to-connectrtk-receiver-to-ios-device-iphone-ipad-or-ipod-via-bluetooth/
the kit is powered by your mobile phone, you can travel around with the kit connected to the mobile phone. From our experience any smartphone can stand 8h of work under these conditions.
I have the RTK Calibrated Surveyor, I'm only getting 1/2 cm accuracy on horizontal, and 10/15cm on vertical, I'm using swmaps to directly connect to the receivers, does using this method improve anything? I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong since the 1cm for the horizontal it's pretty good. i'm using the pointperfect services.
Hello, with PointPerfect the accuracy is slightly worse than with regular NTRIP corrections. To improve the vertical accuracy make sure your GNSS antenna is in a location with perfect view of the sky.
@@ardusimple Hello, I tried the method in this video and now It works perfectly (1cm horizontal and 2cm vertically). So I guess the problem was using only swmaps without gnss master (I was using the pointperfect ntrip correction the whole time).

you can choose, there's a checkbox in the app that allows you to choose if you want to store the settings permanently or only until next powerdown.

Do you have any for iOS system (iPhone)?

Will give it a try soon.
Can the kit be carried about while working on a large Scale of land?
Sure, you can even bring it with you on a vehicle and move around :)
