You can see or hear.... how much fun is the narrator having. I think we all listen to this because we do not have the RAILWAY series book oourselves..... This brings the enjoyment to another level. Bravo!
I got to say that I love the Voice that Morris gave Thomas this early on; It's a child like voice that fits with his personality in the early days (very innocent & naive),I do like how in later books he matured pretty well, but I think this Iteration is my favorite.
The narrator's act really was serious, and I can see why: when your age is still in the single digits (as Thomas' probably was at the time, and he himself was an allegory for children in this book), and you mess up real bad, and you believe that there is worse to come, and you realize it's all of your own doing, you can't help crying over what you've done to yourself.
Thomas has the American style snow plough, but when it snowed in the UK locomotives used massive snow ploughs like that big one seen at Locomotion Museum in Shildon. Where there any snow ploughs that were just like Thomas' or was that just for American engines?
matthew3468 Since there isn't a turntable at Ffarquhar, Thomas has to switch tracks. He's uncuppled from Annie, switches tracks beside the coaches and cupples up to Clarabell, so that he can pull the train back to Knapford.
Ember Fry I'm a steam tractor person myself, and have always wanted to know how these new fangled 'INternal combustion' things worked, my theory is that there is a small Johnny Morris inside turning the cranks.
Is it just me or does Terrance sound like the Goon Show character Eccles? (Ironically there is a Goon Show/Telegoon episode involving a snowplow with a bath in it and a pair of train robbers)
4:37 and 4:48 Thomas’s Driver: “Now let me hear you crying and I’ll come up here and give you something to cry about!!! No wimps, no p***ies, no softies!!!” You know where I got that line from. (Wink).

When Terrence said
"Picitapokapicitapokapicitapok"
I felt that....
He can beat Eminem
You're gonna be feeling something!
Lol
Yeah, that sort of sound like that 😂
Just goes to show how good Johnny Morris doing the sounds of a tractor as well as the voices of characters and narrating.

And it sounds like Herbert from Family Guy.
Sound's like he's saying "a pig in a pocket" over and over.
Yeah, that's what it sounds like.
No u
Yes, either that or "pickin' a pocket."
0:21 0:40
He is saying "pig in a pocket " i have playback speed on 0.5x to confirm that he's saying that
I need someone to make a 10-hour version of Johnny Morris' tractor impression.
0:55, “Oh... What ugly wheels you’ve got!”
They're not ugly. They're caterpillars!
I can go anywhere!
I'd love to know how he can do all those sound effects without getting tongue tied.
No one:
Terrence: apiginapocketapiginapocketapiginapocketapiginapocketapiginapocketapiginapocketapiginapocketapiginapocket
Thomas crying...... Make me feel really sad...
4:35, 4:41-4:48
@@dolphn842 yeay 😞
@AaliyahFan2005 me too 💙😢
Yeah me to 😞, you can feel sympathy for Thomas. Somebody give the narrator a Oscar.

"What a shitty little engine I am"
Thomas said
LOL
3:53 First explicit crash of the series
4:53 He sounds like the Terri Hawkes Sailor Moon crying in the phone booth and when Darien got stolen in Sailor Moon R film.
I think Thomas also learned to accept what he has to do. If he had been wearing his snowplow, he wouldn’t have gotten stuck in that snow drift.
Back Thomas BACK!!! 😂😂😂 3:59
ah yes, the first and only story of the Railway series where thomas says his titular catch phrase "Cinders and Ashes!"
Thomas: 4:35, 4:41-4:48
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, please don't cry, Thomas. We'll think of something.

It does look like an American cowcatcher, I really haven't seen a plow like that before!
Perhaps because British plows were huge, the Rev W Awdry used an American style for Thomas to see ahead.
Dragon Zilla Possibly. I also saw tiny ones on Scottish locos.
Dragon Zilla I agree with that, but in "The Twin Engines", Donald & Douggie do actually wear snowplows which cover their faces up to the eyes.
American or British does not matter
I’ve always felt the class episodes are way too short, because look at the length here
0:21 brother was tweakin
5:44 me on a friday night
is no one gonna mention at how at 4:39 the captions say "what a shitty little engine"
Who else things the driver sometimes sounds like Warrio
Wario*
WAAAAA!
4:00 sounds like duck cracking
thomas voice sounds like others cgi character
Wait what did Thomas say at 4:40
***** THX
he said "what a silly little engine i am "
go to 4:39 with the captions on
"Oh what a shitty little engine I am"
@@MaminakaMrpaperbag lol yeah
* crying sounds * :(
Oh What A Shitty Little Engine I Am.
Why is Thomas back to front at the start? Love Johnny Morris's narration on this btw.

as much as i don't like johnny morris's narrations he can convey emotions awesomely
He's the best at tractor noises.
he is!
Ember Fry I'm a steam tractor person myself, and have always wanted to know how these new fangled 'INternal combustion' things worked, my theory is that there is a small Johnny Morris inside turning the cranks.
that dose seem likely, but I think not
Ember Fry Then how do YOU think these newfangled machines work?
Is it just me or does Terrance sound like the Goon Show character Eccles? (Ironically there is a Goon Show/Telegoon episode involving a snowplow with a bath in it and a pair of train robbers)

Terence the Tractor
Thomas's face is creepy 4:54
Thomas sounds like Herbert from Family Guy.
Tearance: my wheels may be ugly but you know what else i am plowing? Your Mom
Why is thomas driving front and where's the coaches face why does it looks like he stole gordon coaches?
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Thomas is such a crybaby. 😆
“Don’t be so rude said Terence the tractor I don’t have wheels like you because my catapillar tracks are so much better”
yes
Thomas terence and snow crash
