You are absolutely right about seiko being a great watchmaker. The 79k1 dial is a stunner!
Both of nice looking watches but I prefer SRPE51 between two of them (and i have SRPE61) because SRPE has got a hacking, powerful lume, higher water resistant and crown is more useful than SNX. SNX has a tiny crown and its a really annoying to make an adjustment.
The SRPE is a much better watch than the snxs in pretty any aspect! The Grey Sunburst Dial of the SNXS79k1 is beautiful though. Enjoy your watch, and thanks for watching 😊

The seiko GMT is a col watch too :)
7S26 = -20 / +40.
4R36 = -35 / +45.
I think both calibres have no big difference on their power reserve.
Hi! I just bought the Seiko Srpe and I noticed that the rotor makes a subtle sound when it spins, is it normal?
Yeah mine does that too. I think that is pretty normal. You should not worry about that! :)
Good stuff! Only big difference for me is the watch hands, dial details and size, i feel like the movement and case/strap quality are negligible unless inspected real close, I prefer the SNXS79K but cant go wrong with either off them ^_^

just got myself the SNXS79 a week ago and im obsessed with it. Looks even better when the sun hits it.

I got the SNXS79 today however noticed it has a brownish tint to the dial which isn't obvious in pictures or videos. Does yours look a bit brown in the dial as well?

Can u plz tell me the diff between SRPE 51k1 and SRPE 57K1 and which one to buy 51k1 53k1 or 57k1 (SRPE)
There is not really any difference other than color. I really love the 57k1 Gold/black which is cool. The 51k, the grey sunburst is pretty cool as well :)

Water resistance and movement
Good take on this. I can see why you would still prefer the SNXS79. I have the SNXF075, the checkered white brother of the 79, and I'm truly in love. Have it on a red distressed leather strap and it's such a sweet watch. However, although I'd definitely say the 79/77/075 are best experience for the value... for about 2 months now I got the SRPE51 and Srpe63 and they feel so much more solid and 8/10 Times I'm reaching out for any of them. Switched the standard bracelet of the SRPE51 to the SRPE63 and got a sexy jubilee bracelet for the SRPE51 and that's just a sight to behold. I constantly look at the SRPE51 now, to the point that people think I'm flinging them off, but I just admire that combo's beauty. Hope to see more clips from you and hope my perspective helped. I have not expanded into citizen, yet, but that brand seem to have great value propositions :)
Classy, iconic, timeless design (better even than Tudor Black Bay IMO), nuanced case finish, awesome dial and hands finish, perfect lume, perfect legibility, 10 bar water resistance, ideal 40 mm size (for a sporty semi-diver, not a generic three-handler), distinct Seiko (SKX) heritage, reputable brand - what more could you want for €180 (amazon Japan import price I paid) except maybe a sapphire crystal and a bracelet that actually works? I consider my SRPE61 a total steal, best value for money ever, even compared to my my SNXS73.

So what’s the difference between sxns79, 79k, 79j?? I’m just getting into watches and I’m looking to buy my first one. I’m definitely set on a Seiko 5 sxns!

I don’t think there is any difference between the models you mentioned, as long as it says 79 you should be fine. I believe sunday will be red every other day should be black :) Good luck with your watch purchase, and take it slow in the beginning 😊👍

Randy the 79K is manufactured in Malaysia and the 79J in Japan. They're essentially the same watch. The 79J will have 'Made In Japan' in small print at the bottom of the dial.
