Artist's Note: So I watched the first season of Shield Hero a few months back, and I loved it! I knew I wanted to cover whatever the op was when Season 2 came out. Since we knew Madkid was gonna be doing it, Phill agreed to do the rap parts way before the song was even released. But when I heard it, I started freaking out a bit, because I knew the guitar parts were going to give me trouble. But, thankfully, I had a backup plan. I had been wanting to collab with Tony for a long time, but hadn't figured out something for us to work on together, and then this popped up. I wasn't expecting to have to ask someone else to play guitar for this cover, but Tony did an absolutely fantastic job. Unfortunately, Phill got pretty sick in the process of recording for this, so it had to be put off a while. But we got there in the end, and I'm super proud of the result.
Please make sure to check out both Phill and Tony's individual channels!! They're both super talented. Also, at some point, Phill and I will do the other two Shield Hero openings. Just give me some time on that. Later this year though, hopefully.

okay WOW calm down just a second. It took me a few attempts to warm up with the original S2 Opening, but after listening to it a couple of times, i liked it more every time again. And right now i think its probably my favorite song (although the OP videos from S1 are still superior imo). But I already knew that this song is BRUTAL, especially the rap at the end.
AND YOU GUYS ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT. I honestly have no words, i cant comprehend how you not only translated this in a way that sounds really good, but you were also able to sing/rap this really good.
I also like the mix/master this time, not sure if you remember my comment under your long shot cover, but the loudness of everything is much better here imo
Cant wait for you to do the other openings. Have you already watched S2 so far or do you prefer to wait until the whole season is out and then watch it in one go?

I’ve been watching every week! I think I like it about the same as last season, mostly bc I think Rishia’s inclusion and subsequent growth has been such a welcome surprise. Really like Kizuna as well
