@@moisesgutierrez5946 I would argue that if Cap and Naofumi fought as they were at the beginning of their respective journeys, Cap would likely win, and would likely continue to win until Naofumi acquires his curse series. After that, any fight they have might be a little more even. But this is a theoretical thing anyway, why exactly are two characters from different mediums being compared in who can kick each others ass anyway?
@@travelleroftheatlas4680 It would probably seem like a close fight at first, since Naofumi can simply shrug off a lot of damage that ought to be lethal to a normal human (or even to an RPG hero many levels higher than him), whereas Captain America's *shield* is invulnerable, but the man himself is not. However, as the fight drags on, the advantage would quickly shift to Cap's side and stay there. Limited-use skills such as Air Strike Shield and Shield Prison wouldn't be able to keep up with Cap's super-reflexes, and his military training would probably be enough to get behind Naofumi and knock him out. Captain America's not going to just stand across the battlefield and cast spells like a fantasy villain, which is what Naofumi's used to fighting. I'm not so sure about his performance in an inevitable fight against Filo and Raphtalia afterward, though...

This anime just makes me mad, It’s a great anime but the way the other characters treat Naofumi makes it hard to watch at times. And even when he wins the other character’s take that victory away.
That's the sign of a good show: if the main characters are given things it makes each episode stale, but if the protagonist and supporting characters fight tooth and nail, nearly dying in the process and only get a pittance of reward, the characters grew so much more just like the Spear Hero vs the Shield Hero ^^1
Just wait man... im reading the light novels as they come out, right now on volume 20. He does so famn much and earns so much faith and respect, even with the heros. This series is really only just starting and it will continue i am sure. I mean it was already approved for 2 more seasons and the creator and producer dont want to rush it and soil the series with fillers, so they are taking their time to bring out just season 2, let alone season 3. Itll be worth it all man!

@@ihvanneisanan8326 The Rage Shield's counterattack doesn't work so well anyway. Like all the attacking moves in the show, it's really flashy and impressive looking, but after the smoke clears, the target's ability to fight isn't affected. It might just be because Naofumi only pulls out the Rage Shield when he's way out of his league either way.
This song has been covered by everyone under the sun, even Dan Alv came out of retirement to cover it. And each cover is amazing but I will always come back to this one. I feel like Amalee and Nate really did the best with keeping the hype of the original. Thank you both of you
Read the LN it’s still ongoing The LN also goes more in-depth than the manga and anime. It does a good job telling you what is going on in Naofumi's head. It explains the different shields that Naofumi receives, skills learned, his relationship with other characters, etc. Those are not explained very well in the manga or anime.
100 percent agree, not something that can be put against the manga or anime as they are just not laced out well for deep dives into naofumis mind set and lists of the shields
The problem adapting LN is time, text and money, they can't adapt every little detail without spending money for something without certain of returning (anime case), it would take too much time (both manga and anime) and for non-LN midias it is massive a lot of monologue even if they're all important. For me it is LN >>> Anime >>> Manga
Ok Spoilers coming im pretty sure the LN are no longer continuing and there is no end so i will talk about the WN version. Naofumi is a God who is fighting the Gods of Destruction, by sending out fragments of himself Nafoumi gets stronger through the bond and skill of his lesser selves. When these fragments die (old age,sickness,fighting destruction...etc) these shard return to the Core Nafoumi who gets stronger from their experiences. The Gods of Destruction get strong by destroying worlds and harvesting souls. Thats why i like the glass shards flying around in this video. Pretty sure someone read the WN because the lines like "the end of our journey is on repeat" and "I know my soul wont fray it will never fade" hint at the God Naofumi.

Just imagine Naofumi was smart enough to design his own shields that would have throwable components or a built-in sword blade. Just copy the shields and he'd have his own way to fight.

But I'm not going to, because I recognize that each and every medium has it's advantages and disadvantages and it literally doesn't matter who enjoys which medium because at the end of the day, it's the same damn story with minor differences that ultimately mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

@@moisesgutierrez5946 I would argue that if Cap and Naofumi fought as they were at the beginning of their respective journeys, Cap would likely win, and would likely continue to win until Naofumi acquires his curse series. After that, any fight they have might be a little more even.
But this is a theoretical thing anyway, why exactly are two characters from different mediums being compared in who can kick each others ass anyway?
@@travelleroftheatlas4680 It would probably seem like a close fight at first, since Naofumi can simply shrug off a lot of damage that ought to be lethal to a normal human (or even to an RPG hero many levels higher than him), whereas Captain America's *shield* is invulnerable, but the man himself is not. However, as the fight drags on, the advantage would quickly shift to Cap's side and stay there. Limited-use skills such as Air Strike Shield and Shield Prison wouldn't be able to keep up with Cap's super-reflexes, and his military training would probably be enough to get behind Naofumi and knock him out. Captain America's not going to just stand across the battlefield and cast spells like a fantasy villain, which is what Naofumi's used to fighting.
I'm not so sure about his performance in an inevitable fight against Filo and Raphtalia afterward, though...

This anime just makes me mad, It’s a great anime but the way the other characters treat Naofumi makes it hard to watch at times. And even when he wins the other character’s take that victory away.
That's the sign of a good show: if the main characters are given things it makes each episode stale, but if the protagonist and supporting characters fight tooth and nail, nearly dying in the process and only get a pittance of reward, the characters grew so much more just like the Spear Hero vs the Shield Hero ^^1

Just wait man... im reading the light novels as they come out, right now on volume 20. He does so famn much and earns so much faith and respect, even with the heros. This series is really only just starting and it will continue i am sure. I mean it was already approved for 2 more seasons and the creator and producer dont want to rush it and soil the series with fillers, so they are taking their time to bring out just season 2, let alone season 3. Itll be worth it all man!

@@ihvanneisanan8326 The Rage Shield's counterattack doesn't work so well anyway. Like all the attacking moves in the show, it's really flashy and impressive looking, but after the smoke clears, the target's ability to fight isn't affected. It might just be because Naofumi only pulls out the Rage Shield when he's way out of his league either way.

This song has been covered by everyone under the sun, even Dan Alv came out of retirement to cover it. And each cover is amazing but I will always come back to this one. I feel like Amalee and Nate really did the best with keeping the hype of the original.

Read the LN it’s still ongoing The LN also goes more in-depth than the manga and anime. It does a good job telling you what is going on in Naofumi's head. It explains the different shields that Naofumi receives, skills learned, his relationship with other characters, etc. Those are not explained very well in the manga or anime.
100 percent agree, not something that can be put against the manga or anime as they are just not laced out well for deep dives into naofumis mind set and lists of the shields
The problem adapting LN is time, text and money, they can't adapt every little detail without spending money for something without certain of returning (anime case), it would take too much time (both manga and anime) and for non-LN midias it is massive a lot of monologue even if they're all important.
For me it is LN >>> Anime >>> Manga
Ok Spoilers coming im pretty sure the LN are no longer continuing and there is no end so i will talk about the WN version. Naofumi is a God who is fighting the Gods of Destruction, by sending out fragments of himself Nafoumi gets stronger through the bond and skill of his lesser selves. When these fragments die (old age,sickness,fighting destruction...etc) these shard return to the Core Nafoumi who gets stronger from their experiences. The Gods of Destruction get strong by destroying worlds and harvesting souls. Thats why i like the glass shards flying around in this video. Pretty sure someone read the WN because the lines like "the end of our journey is on repeat" and "I know my soul wont fray it will never fade" hint at the God Naofumi.

This is honestly so amazing. I love AmaLee - I’m the same age as her (almost to the exact day) so I just feel like she picks all of the best songs that really relate to my emotional experiences. I know this is a newer anime, but this anime really feels a lot more like the anime’s I grew up on, as opposed to some of the other new stuff out there nowadays . . .
