- I'm taking on another 5 paint challenge, but for the season finale and 1000 subscriber special, I am trying something a little different. For the first time in the series I will use mixture of contrast and regular paints to see what kind of result I can achieve. In this video I will show you how to apply base coats with contrast paints, use them to shade areas of your models, and how to apply highlights.
Using this simple guide, you will quickly be able to paint up any Warhammer miniatures ready for the table top. Subscribe to Drunk On Tea for regular painting guides for Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar and Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game

Yay Salamanders woooo hoooo. Paint job looks great! Itd be really interesting to see how different it would be with a Grey base instead
Thank you! I'm thinking about doing a video of using contrast over different primer colours to see what gives the best result, so keep an eye out and there may well be a video for painting a Salamander over grey!
Looks cool 👍
Thank you
great video 👍
Thank you
Great video.. will use your color scheme for an Pile of Shame Inferno Squad. 😂
For the undercoat you’ve used corax white or white scar?
Isn't warp lightening terrible? 😅
This was the first time I've ever used it as a "contrast paint." Normally, I just glaze with it, and it's fine, but as a paint, it could do better....
@@DrunkOnTeaUK definitely. Thinning it with medium and doing two coats is the only way forward with it. You do a great job though man and have the best RUclips handle out there. Thanks for all the great content.
@@Gedupaints Thank you! I am rather proud of the handle...... Tea is life!
