The cultists being the good guys was my headcannon for the longest time, you can leave them there forever and nothing will ever happen, but killing them summons the Moon Lord. The same goes for the majority of the bosses, not much happens unless you actively look for trouble, you're saving the world from a catastrophe you caused
My headcannon is that the Leader Cultist is actually the legend Yrimir in disguise, who was trying to keep Moon Lord at bay until we came and ruined everything
The super acceleration of the biome spread speed also makes it feel so much overwhelming to the point where I usually quit either right before or right after the WoF fight. The ending phase of pre-hardmode is just so cozy.
This is why I would recommend to contain the naturally spawning crimson and corruption before entering Hard mode, that way less work will need to be done to contain it.
Tip, you can play on the drunk seed and if you get a good seed with many giant trees the corruption biomes are contained naturally, the drunk seed also skips the hell bridge part since a huge chunk of the hell biome is lava, i've been saying this since it came out but drunk seed goated and is painfully slept on
i dont mind the V generation, but what annoys me is the biome spread. eventually after multiple playthroughs its just a nuisance to deal with when i wanna play the fun parts of the game. its why i use the begone evil mod (disable biome spread)
I think what they should do is make the Guide have an exclamation point over his head when he has new info that unlocks as you progress that way you know that talking to him will tell you something new and helpful
the golem one is completely dependant on the temple gen there have been times that the room was so big it was basically 1/4th of the temple and one of my most reason one was a 14x32 room that golem barely fit inside of
I have a few hot takes that I came up with during my recent playthrough 1. Boss trophies should give buffs against their respective bosses like banners do 2. The Solar Eclipse would actually be a fun event if they removed Mothron. made Nailhead's projectiles more visible and if Eyezor stopped shooting from off screen 3. The Frost Moon would be better if they removed the Santa-NK1 and made Elf Copters unable to fly through walls
Aight, I've got almost 3,000 hours, modded or not. Let me see what I can muster up. 1. A lot of dyes are kind of ugly on most equipment (I do understand the massive pain fine tuning them will be however) 2. Defense/Survival Boosting Stuff > Ooga Booga damage, with the exception of No-Hit style gameplay obviously 3. Grappling Hook is the best mobility upgrade 4. If you build regular wood box houses for every pylon, I am silently cringing 5. NPCs need more than 250 HP lmao 6. People need to try more mods than Calamity/Thorium. Terraria Mods Wiki is a decent place to look for new ones. Shoutout to Aequus, expands on quite a few things that aren't that explored upon
Mine's not about the game per se but more so about the people who complain and say that you need a wiki open 24/7 for it, if they were talking about modded that'd be fair but no, they're on about vanilla. I just find it dumb that they're calling a game bad because they can't figure out what is good and bad or where to go. there are plenty of tool tips in game that tells you what things do. And on top of that I played the game back when I was a kid, when ocram was on consoles and beat it, if I can do that as a kid with no wikis or walkthroughs I feel like most players could easily figure out the game, especially since most people going into it now are 15+
I don't think it makes the game bad or anything. But I think it is a fair thing to bring up. I know a lot of people who have tried getting into Terraria today and given up because the experience isn't beginner friendly. I also beat the game when I was a kid but the game is a lot more complicated now than it used to be.
@HudsonJlol That is true, but I have seen many people not even try to actually play it because of this, I just find it silly and a slight bit annoying because it is one of my favourite games :(
I think endgame could benefit from either Duke or Empress being a required boss. Maybe Lunatic Cultist spawning immediately after Golem is defeated makes sense lore wise, but it certainly feels like whiplash that we're suddenly at the penultimate fight after defeating such an easy boss. Having Duke or Empress be required would also encourage players to actually use some of the weapons obtained at this point instead of them immediately becoming obsolete once you can access a pillar weapon.
@@DEERCRACKERLOVER i think post golem is the worst part of the game because you can get a bunch of weapons from golem, empress, maybe fishron, martians, old ones army and others *or* you can say "fuck you" to all of that and just kill lunatic cultist in 4 hits and get better weapons than all of what i listed above with 10% of the effort.
Removing the thrower class in 1.4 was a lazy and bad move. Calamity is the most overrated mod because rushing bosses in Terraria is just not fun. Which makes the game fun is the contant mix between exploring, looting, farming normal mobs, mining and fighting bosses. Late hard-mode Terraria and calamity are therefore the least fun aspects of the game.
idk how to explain it but you have like the content creator gene or smth, i can tell youll be successful if you keep going. Maybe its the voice i domt know but this is good shit bro
When I heard "bullet hell boss" i was expecting a hard boss. Empress is not hard and the bullet hell aspect was tossed out the window. Something in the middle of normal and infernum would be better
I would like the idea of the guide telling you about where to find the next boss. If you aren’t using the wiki or playing with an experienced player, you won’t know how to beat the game. On the other hand, you don’t HAVE to always be fighting bosses so it’s hard to find that balance of when to push the player to fight bosses and when not to
I do kinda agree with the last one for myself personally. Not the "you're not a pro" thing, that's cringe. Just for me, I don't see a reason to ever not play master mode. Like you have all the extra loot and accessory slot, I can't live without that stuff
my hot take: Honestly, i really don't like Chlorophyte Bullets. I mean yea they have homing and yea they're good with mini-guns and all, but the trade off is really bad. First of they're expensive as hell to make for what they do (60 bullets per bar). And second of all, the damage is about the same as a Musket Ball (weak). I only have ok skill and knowledge of terraria(casual, which apparently is a bad thing?) but for me that doesn't really sound all that great. if it did more damage it would be good tbh.

Hot take: I genuinely find legendary mode the most fun out of the other difficulties
Hot take: the corruption/crimson hallow V is a real pain in the ass. A lot of my gameplays end after I contain it all because it gets me so exhausted

Y'know what i needed to do to beat golem for my first time on classic? GET THE PIRANHA GUN. THE PIRANHA GUN.

The boss trophies thing is a great idea. It would give them some use beyond looking cool.
Solar eclipse is fun for me already but that’s most because of my texture packs

Don't pine trees exist in the snow biome?
Those are boreal trees
@@exceptionallyriso yeah, pine trees
@@thet3083 are pine trees the same as boreal trees? I didn't know, English isn't my first language, sorry
@@exceptionallyriso Sort of... Boreal trees include things like pine, spruce, fir, and other cone bearing trees.
@@cultofmel oh I see, so it's a category of trees rather than being a tree in and of itself

Bro came out of nowhere and just started posting bangers
Hot take: Mage is mostly only good in early hardmode
razorpine
The razor blade typhoon carrying up to moon lord with skill:
Demon scythe being preboss being a viable wof weapon:
It's definitely at it's best in early hard-mode. But I still think it's pretty good near the end, at least compared to summoner.
Post Wall is the worst part of the game, you have to get most of the stuff just not to get killed less than 3 seconds by hardmode enemies

I extincted the pine trees as revenge for forgetting my event exist.
3:30 I think this person mean that ui update is bad because they deleted numbers in this variant of hp bar (and mana bar).

Weapon balance are shit, you are forced to have weapon that can take on bosses while other potential weapons are just trash
What?
It's literally how the game is supposed to work, you're supposed to change & upgrade your gear throughout progression.
