I'm mad now! 2005 we visit Deadwood from UK. Event the day and a bit drive from Sardis Lake, drive thought custer state and the only Bison has his backside towards us! We went down to Keystone for mount Rushmore, then Custer and turned north to Crazy horse. Next day crossed into Wyoming and turned north for the Devils Tower. What a ride that all was.

I have loved watching your videos for a long time now and have actually booked my dad (on vacation from Australia) into a motel in Hill City for the Sturgis Rally this year based on watching your previous videos. Hope you and Warden and friends have a fantastic time there. My dad is leaving tomorrow i think but would have been great for him to have caught up and talk trucks with you. Homer, as I and my lovely wife have been riding for near 50 years, you see one rally, pretty much seen them all. I like your idea of the week before. Still the same stuff to do and so much better with traffic. We live in SC, 1714 miles from Sturgis. Never had the money or time to make that trip with a house full of yungins. So videos is what I watch. Now that we have all the money we need, getting to old. My wife and I have traveled over half of this country on two wheels and some of it multiple times. You are Sarah or in your prime time for traveling on the bike. Enjoy ever moment of it. We sure did. Living where we do, we have been to Daytona Bike many times and Myrtle Beach many times. Took in Rolling Thunder in Washing DC twice and Milwaukee 95th and 100th anniversaries. I will say one thing about my age group. Although we had plenty weirdo's in my time, today's HD riders are about the most trashy looking I have ever seen. I have been watching this week at all the Sturgis videos and what women are doing to their bodies and showing everything they have. Does not impress me at all. Enjoy your trip as I know you have. That looked like a fun trip. I have a cousin who has visited Sturgis before and he said it was a lot of fun. That canyon you went through was beautiful! My late father had a 1971 Harley Roadster that was a blast to ride on. Was too much motorcycle for me to drive.

Great time Kurt I was out there for the 49th 50th and 51st rally and the ride to Spearfish canyon and Lead is absolutely Beautiful. S.Dakota is an absolutely gorgeous state I'd love to live out there instead of nasty Illinois. Stay Safe guys keep the rubber side down.👍🇺🇸

If I ever made it or make it out there, after seeing Mt. Rushmore, it would be Devil's Tower. Terrible name for one of Gods great creations. I had a friend to made it to Sturgis in 22 and he and his wife made it within site of Mt. Rushmore and because of the heavy traffic turned around and never made it to the park. As he said, just a rock. I then told him about Devil's Tower being 80 miles away, good one day turn around trip. He had NO interest. Spent most of his time in Deadwood. Imagine that. I think some people just don't know how to have a good time. As for me, a trip like that is not about the Sturgis rally but more of the beautiful country to see. Just me.
My wife and most times stay are Hampton. Always nice rooms. The one we stayed in at Myrtle beach for years would leave towels and water hose for the bikers to use. I don't see why all motels at rally town don't do that. As much as they charge for a room. Little soap and water.

We ride it. We tried the trailer route a few years back and decided we aren't ready for that yet. We can usually fit 10 days worth of clothes on the bike, but sometimes we do hit the laundry mat.

There's a report out that Harley CEO is taking H-D in the direction of "WOKE" and it's hurting sales like the Mulvaney situation involving Bud Light. A local H-D dealer in Sturgis said that his sales are down, and Harley owners are leaning toward "Indians". Very sad. If I were a share holder I'd be pissed.
Anyone who doesnt wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle is an idiot. If i wasnt wearing a helmet when i got ran off the road by a car, i would be dead. Safety first.

This one we were at only has a shallow well. So saving water is the goal here
