ShadowBlower So in theory wouldn't the same be applicable for someone who only bought locally grown, "ethical" produce and still ate meat? I advocate for plant based diets and veganism but it's laughable to act like eating meat isn't something that humans have done since before even Homo sapiens evolved.

"there's nothing better than coconut water from a fresh coconut" *cries in poor* I used to have a coconut everyday back home (they cost like 25-50 american cents). But since I moved to the US, I have to get boxed..and it ain't the same at all :'( tastes more sugary
wawis231 which one are you drinking ? Try UFC coconut water or C2O :) they’re both pure coconut water but UFC has less natural sugar content and it tastes close to fresh coconut juice.

The thing is, I like to get a big one (cheaper overall bc it's expensive as is, even for non fresh) and I feel like it gets rlly sweet like 2-3 days after opening even if tightly closed in the fridge. I will try to find the other brands tho! thanks!
Most of them are sweetened to taste more "juice" like. It tastes different to me too.

Here in the Philippines, we literally just serve coconuts with the top off and put a straw. (We don’t even take out the green outer part). When we’re finished with the water, we just use a spoon and scrape and snack on the meat!

You should try making fish from celery root! Really recommend it, I did it for Christmas and (till it wasn't cold 😂 then you could feel the celery) it tasted delicious!

Today I tried deep frying coconut flesh. I don't have any access to your list of ingredients so I marinate using what I usually marinate chicken with (the simple and lazy but tasty way)..
So I marinate the coconut with salt, black pepper, curry powder and cumin. Because the flesh is still wet, I continue on coating it with wheat flour without any 'glue'.
Turned out glorious! Yup the coconut flesh resembles the calamari nicely. I like it. Gonna be my go to fried snack. :)
