- Based on Frank Schätzing’s international bestseller, The Swarm tells the story of escalating disasters borne out of the world’s seas. Across the globe, lives are increasingly imperiled as scientists come together sensing that something bigger is at play: an intelligent life force, dwelling in the deep - capable of manipulating the ocean.
The Swarm premieres June 7 on BINGE.

The book Der Schwarm, by Frank Schätzing is amazing!
I read the book and it’s frightening how possible this whole concept really is.
Can you spoil the plot plz
@@snowdrop1414 seriously? The thrill will be gone.
no, it is not possible.. unless you are brainwashed by medical propaganda..
I read it also, one of my faves. I don't kow how well a movie maker will capture it though.
Book you say??? Is it titled swarm too
Where is this available in Canada. It says its on Prime but its not. Thanks
The Show pretty awesome. I vote for four more seasons. ❤❤❤🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
When is this show coming out? Or is it already out on what streaming channel
I love The Swarm. When I first rode it at Thorpe Park, there was no experience like it. The Swarm is a B&M Wing Coaster, themed on an alien invasion.
Best ride at thorpe park
Kind of gave me three body problem vibes
this looks really good. i hope this makes it to netflix or max or hulu.
its terrible
@@billylove2926 where did you watch it?
I watched it on an app called film plus. A streaming app like RUclips but it has every show and movie practically ever made on it. Saw it a few months ago. Made in Europe.
The TV series not the app
@@kennethkennair was it free to watch or no?
En España se llama "El quinto día" y está en Movistar.
An intelligent life form who turned the oceans against the humans being who mistreated it so much for so long with pollution and overfishing. What a interesting concept.
I swear to god I saw the exact same premise in leviathan (a somewhat famous manhwa)
Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con esta vida inteligente
I read the book, which was great. Have to see how the series follows the book
"From the producer of Game of Thrones"
...unfortunately, it's the season 8 producer
OOPS!!
🤣🤣🤣
Can't seem to find it on any of the channels I get.
This is a masterpiece! Not naive or childish even when yrr gets exposed, it is so genuinely intelligent. However, you should be fascinated for waters and believe.
Maybe don’t put spoilers in your reviews
I love this series great 8 episodes!!!!!!!!!!
This looks like something I vaguely remember seeing in the 90's I think...
Dónde la puedo ver
Read the book back in 2005 and loved it! What an extraordinary author. He distanced himself from the series though. They changed so much and definitely not for the better. Totally understand him after watching the series. What a shame what they made out of this great book!
Is it from frank schätzing book?
@@wanoroCemeng yes 👍
Spoil. It.
What is different? Why is it bad? Share what you know, young sparrow!

Ok but huge spoil alert! Don't blame me 😉
Frank Schätzing put so much effort in writing a story that is almost realistic and full of high level information but yet entertaining. He went to different universities as well as geographical and nautical institutes and did research for several years in preparation for the book which you can absolutely experience while reading it. There were even readers who thanked him for saving their lives after the devastating 2004 tsunami because he portrayed the different stages of a tsunami in great detail. Especially how dangerous it is when the water crawles back into the sea. In the series? Lots of scientific nonsense. For example the woman in the ocean at the end. Her body would be destroyed under water pressure, bones crushed, blood vessels burst. Instead she is floating like an angel without any injuries and even surviving this? The Yrr live on planet earth too, they cannot change physical laws.
Also I miss the global dimension. Where are the governments, military, climate activists and so on. Humanity is being attacked and forced into war, the world is about to collapse, but only this small group of people reacts? I miss also several important characters and storylines. Of course the writers needed to cut things out, the book has around 1000 pages, but why replace it with new stuff that is not needed at all for the story?
What annoyed me most though is that the Yrr are somehow portrayed as evil and not very intelligent while they are as intelligent and no worse than mankind. They are ruthless but they are also defending their world. Their world that humanity has exploited and poisened for decades by overfishing, exterminating species, dumping chemicals and nuclear waste in the ocean etc. In the epilogue the question comes up if we humans really are the crown of creation. Nothing like that in the series.
Schätzing said in an interview the writers should have had more trust in the narrative of the book. Think so too. The series does just not come close to the book.
Was patiently waiting for the Tsunami...definitely knew there had to be a scene...🤣🤣
Yep. Makes sense in a show about sea bacteria.
looks great, gunna look out for it.
I don’t know about the show but the book is amazing so far!
I’m in the last quarter of the book now and it just keeps getting better and more intriguing.
Very much reminds me of Michael Crichton’s work in some ways, heavy on the science at times but good action and characters.
The swarm is one of the best book I’ve ever red. Although the first part is a little bit boring the other half is full of suspense.
U really needa learnt how to spelt
red
are you sure you can read? because you certainly can't spell.
I was hoping for Attack of the Horde of Tiny Cute Pink Crabs but no such luck ;-)
I think it is brilliant & incredibly underrated.
It is horrible and the casting choices are downright racist
Hey I read this book, pretty solid.
Where can I watch this
What a brilliant series! Absolutely loved it.
Where did you watch it ?
am downloading it now to watch
@@michaelmuli265 Where from?
Looks good
Any chance this will make it to hulu, netflix or other service?

Already seen the first season, very good. Hope it gets renewed.
huh? they turned a book into a mini series, its done!
@@mho... the show was left on a cliffhanger. Was there nothing else in the book, haven't read it.
@@danskijonez there was no "total end" for this story.... humans & that "swarm" now have to coexist on the planet!
as much as i would love to have "aftermath" movies/episodes of MANY MANY stories, its not a thing.....
Hopefully this TV LICENCE funded series gets cancelled for shameless lack of diversity in castng.
I've read the book (it's fantastic) and this film looks like a good looking adaption.
Where can one watch this?
read the book twice..i hope the movie does it justice
Can I watch in the US?
This is so good.
great great book really realistic
Watch it and it's really great 👏👏👏 Finally something good 💪
Muy buena serie, te deja pensando en lo q probablemente pueda pasar
En dónde la viste?
@@agenciadme2 esta en la página de cuevana y pelisflix
Looks interesting…getting “The Abyss” vibes from this show.
Wow, what a twist!
The scene with the stuff squirting on the guy’s face and then him getting sick afterwards is like that scene in Outbreak where that one guy gets the monkey blood on his face and then he gets sick
Cómo se llama el libro
This looks like something M. Night Shyamalan would come up with.
Yes. Like The Happening 📺
*Alien/Virus/Disaster Film Combo?*
*You had me at Alien.*
:)
Watching it🔥🔥🔥🔥
This looks interesting with a very strong environmental message at its core.
Again? :(
It’s a good book, Swedish or Finnish I believe.
Its funny you got environmental message at the core. It comes across as more an alien invasion tale to me by the end of it.
@@sithalo how so? The bacteria was here before we were lol if anything WE would be the invaders lol damn son you sure we all read the same book?
@@widdershins5383
One thousand people can read the same book and you'll get one thousand interpretations. Your interpretations is no more or less valid than anybody elses.
How do you guys watch it? I’m in the us
How can I watch this?
Looks interesting! Gonna give it a chance as it begins on the CW next week 🤔
Horrible
I'll be cheering on the ocean, thank you
Network Broadcasting is once again NECESSARY… we have to have shows to fill Prime Time Slots. I love this show.. and it’s creators are not just new to this! ❤❤❤
This was amazing and some would say prophetic well worth a watch
Reminds me of that old John Wyndham novel.
I really enjoyed this series, hope they do a second season, apparently not though on google :( A very novel idea, well done writers :)
Very good AUTHOR. It was a book first.
The things is, what would they do in season 2? There is only one book after all, and if they already failed to capture the feel of the book, I don't wanna know how it'd end when they have to make up a completely new plot on their own
They won't be making a second season it's a limited series so no
i loved, it its been a long times since there was a show like The Mist or The Fog, the kind I love. please give us season 2 for The Swarm in 2024.
gonna wait for this...
Nice
I have a huge phobia from deep water and large sea animals and i almost couldn't watch this trailer, but it looks so interesting idk what to do😂

Mixed feelings on "How to become a mermaid" but lots of beautiful images. I'll try the book.
I started to watch the series but with 54 commercials on a 1-hour show that isn't a 1-hour show it's more like 10 minutes it's ridiculous I will wait for this DVD series to come out at this Walmart
