The way Sephiroth talks in that end scene when he's alone with Cloud... I get the distinct impression he lived long enough to see the true end of the planet, an end not of his making, refusing to be absorbed into the lifestream until the very end. Where he sees the planet finally destroy itself to be merged back with the cosmos. Which is why he went back, to defy Destiny. He himself refuses to end alongside the planet. And he refuses to let Cloud end as well. Thus him wanting Cloud to join him and fight "destiny" together. The end becoming one of their making, instead. That's one of my theories at least. Some food for thought as the exciting possibilities came to mind lol. Can't wait for the next part! So excited!! 😤👍💕
No. Sorry. Though the remake has expanded with use of the fate defiance Sephiroth refuses to be forgot and it’s part of a trauma he suffered when he found out he was artificial and therefore not truly anything. Then megalomania set in when found out how unique he was.
@@celestialknightsffxiv6566 Sorry I didn't specify, I meant after the original (timeline). It's like he came back after the events in the original game, and advent children, etc. happened. Imo the end cinematic in OG FF7 is her sending herself back in time in this new timeline and she now has MUCH more knowledge of things that are about to happen and she would probably know about what FF7 AC: Sephiroth is trying to do in this new timeline since he at least from what i have gathered after reading Lifestream Black and White they go into what happens after the OG FF7 ending. I actually think that in this new timeline... It isn't Aerith that dies... but it is actually Cloud that dies (could be many more aswell), but Sephiroth needs Cloud to continue excisting and to continuing comming back. Cloud is Sephiroth's horcrux so to speak. As long as Cloud remembers Sephiroth... he will never fade and die... So for the planet/world/cosmos to be rid of Sephiroth... Cloud has to either find a way to not remembering him or he needs to die.
