The Finnish people don't care about juries anymore, they want to have fun and send something they enjoy that reflects what Finnish people are like. This reflects a lot of the sentiment Finns have about ESC right now so it was the perfect time for it to hit just right! It was incredible to watch the sudden switch from last place to an overwhelming first because the audience did NOT care about what the juries wanted at all! I'm so happy you liked it!
I love that we picked this song. It's funny and very Finnish, with a message I can stand by. The song, which came 2nd in our national final is a strong, beautiful song with an excellent performance, but there are usually numerous beautiful ballads with an excellent performance in the ESC, and I don't believe it had any chance to stand out. No-one forgets an egg made of jeans and a man who shoots fire from his shorts.
Finland is one country who, especially in recent years, isn't thinking about the jury, they are thinking about sending something that *Finnish* people like, to represent Finland. The juries really didn't like No Rules but Finland didn't care, just like the message of the song
Some people are upset about how this got chosen over Sara Siipola. To them, I have just this to say: Call me what you may, See if I care, SEE ME SLAAAYY! ✨
I think you should also take a look at the lyrics, they have a great message, which could be summarised "Be what you are, and don't care what others think."
You asked if it has a message... I think it's a celebration to education in Finland, and especially to the computer geeks of the 90's who were kind of looked down on before that, but who actually brought the country back to it's feet after the recession.
@@waffleweave Because Finland doesn't care about juries, they want to send something Finnish people like, which actually fits the message of the song very well, so it was kind of perfect for the moment.
People seem to either hate or love this, but they won't forget this 😂
Everyone: Finland, please don’t send anything crazy this year.
Finland: Yes
😂😂😂😂

And also, her performance in the final was lackluster, this was anything but! 🥳

Windows95man is a DJ and this is his first original song 🎶 since he doesn’t actually sing, he wanted Henri to sing is this ❤

Thx❤😊

Oh, and the egg... It comes from Finnish mythology. The world and all greatness was born from an egg.
😂😂
😂🎉❤⚡️☄️🔥💥🥳🤩👏🏻👍🏻🇫🇮
Hey,he's a pretty accurate caricatyre of a finnish guy! Its honest!
If E-type and Günther had a love child it would be this: Denim Chicken and Sparklejorts 🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's fun, is lively, it was best of bunch of crap songs by the performance.
Last year was 10 times better, this sounds like sht. So if we win with this one this year then we know its a rigged show.
It won’t win but it’s still so fun. This feels like a metaphorical middle finger to the ESC juries because of last year. 😂
