+TameImpala There are a few variants of a South African accent. Trevor Noah's is bit like Elon Musks. Very lightly infected with just a touch of Afrikaans . Charlize Therons is totally 100% US American until she actually starts speaking Afrikaans. BTW she spoke Afrikaans before she spoke English. But when you listen to the Boer Afrikaners then the accent gets very inflected.

My parents are from South Africa.
I love watching his standup from South Africa, when he does these impressions of politicians I've never heard of but you still find it funny cause you can recognise that they have the same kinds of characters in every country
I was just reading about his childhood, and apparently he was born before apartheid, his mother was jailed for having a relationship with a white man, and his stepfather was violent. It's amazing how he was able to overcome that and even achieve a huge success in another country. An average person would be pretty messed up after that.

Just look at what Elon Musk did to get here: You know America is truly great when someone obtains Canadian citizenship just to increase his chances of getting approved for a green card to live in the US. Though I'm a Republican, immigration is one of the few areas where I break with the traditional GOP stance (the other being religion).
Plus, there are signs that Asians will be the dominant immigrant group in the US over the next 30+ years. Asians are generally very hard workers with keen intellects and a strong respect for law and order. Just what America needs to counter some of our...ahem...less civilized ethnic groups.
In other words, America has a bright future ahead of it. Eat your hearts out, haters. :)

With that being said, it seems that the US doesn't have any innovation in research. The benefits they have will last only so long and the countries that are researching the next big things (Japan, Germany, Sweden) are going to progress like the US did a century ago (If it's not become obvious already).

Cool story about how he almost got deported
Heyy, I totally agree when Trevor said that "Radio DJ" is a strong term for people who works at the radio only on weekends. Cause I work like that too now. When people tell me I'm a "Radio DJ" I'd say, "Nah" cause for the whole month I only work like 4 to 5 hours as a radio dj. I'm not even in the list of DJ's on my place's radio but I still am a DJ 😂. It's confusing, but yeah Radio DJ is a strong term for us who works as a radio DJ only on weekends. We're not at the same level as the other full time DJ's.
