Kyra been educating us. I'm literally living for this series. Because a lot of RUclipsrs have gotten very comfortable with makeup instead of teaching. There are just tons of reviews. This is my definition of a tutorial.
I have a lot of natural creases under my eye and I find that pure argan oil under my eyes every night has helped plumped them. I think many of our under eyes are actually dehydrated and concealers end up accentuating that. Also a good tip for anyone still struggling is not taking the concealer right up under that bottom lash line immediately. When you start blending and slowly drag it up the amount of product underneath the eye is way less.
Yes!!! Finally some good advice!! I realized not to not blend the concealer to my outter eye because no matter what I will always crease and it’s best to be well hydrated under there, I use coconut oil x
I love everything that ur doing , when I 1st got into makeup 2 yrs ago it was hard finding informative makeup videos by women of color. Ur content is so needed .
This is far and away the most helpful concealer tutorial I have watched in years. I have been doing makeup for 10+ years at this point, and didn't realize until now that I had been missing these essential steps. Thank you Kyra for giving us an actual tutorial!!!
Thank you for stating that if you have natural creases no amount of concealer or powder will 100% eliminate them! It’s sad that you have to say that but beauty gurus will have you fooled 🙄... pssssss (they use filters).... ya welcome
Thank you ! Iv been so lost on finding the “right” concealor- foundation for my small wrinkles creeping up. I Almost even bought Dior and NARS foundations yesterday but I just turned off my phone and sticked with my L’Oréal inflatable foundation. I bought the inky list retinol instead for $10 and will just start there. 🙂
This is first time someone has not only explained WHAT to do, but WHY to do it and how the results come out because of it. As someone who has been wearing contact lenses since I was 14, I have been pulling my eye down with one finger and popping the contact in with the other finger for 30+ years, resulting in dark circles. I have wrinkles as well but dark circles biggest problem. I now realize I’m not using enough concealer and have the wrong color. 1. I only use 3 small dots of concealer right under my eye. I haven’t done the triangle. 2. Because I don’t wear foundation over my whole face (I have good skin), I chose a concealer closer to my skin tone, not lighter. I can’t wait to go shopping this weekend for new foundation (I watched your other vid) and new concealor‼️ please keep these vids coming. I am learning so much.
Never seen anyone explained this so well.. when u mention not bringing out the concealer too much, had to subscribe because that’s what I was doing and looking a mess
Fenty concealer is a miracle worker. It takes 10 yrs off of my under eye. I'm gonna need them to put it in a bigger bottle cuz I use it alllll over my face as a concealer lol. I love your videos
@@Sunshann lol, oops I meant as a foundation. Which I cant do now since I have a tan and I have no fenty shade because the 390 is too orange ugh. I wish there was a shade 387
Yes sista! Keep teaching! Even though I’ve been a RUclips Beauty Junkie since 2009, I still thoroughly enjoy the teaching videos! I’m still learning and soaking up all there is to know!
What do you use for lighting? That's been one of my biggest issues in learning makeup - having good lighting so i know what my makeup ACTUALLY looks like
I wear very little makeup but nowadays I have been experimenting a bit more because of your videos. I really appreciate your videos, they are very clear and I can follow them easily. I like when you zoom, it's so much easier to see..Thanks.😍😍
You've just taught me sooooo much that I didn't realise I didn't know. My eyes have those exact same creases since... Forever! And I never knew too to fix it. Your literally my makeup life saver
I am so glad I found your channel! I am a makeup lover and always seem to struggle with my concealer creasing even after setting it with powder. I have tried so many techniques and always find creasing at the end of the day or it ages me. I will definitely try this technique and you teach it so well, thank you for this informative video. Whenever I get my makeup done for a special occasion, my concealer stays put and I never see creasing/lines underneath my eyes and could never get it right when doing my own makeup. I even tried purchasing different type of powders or concealers and have not been successful. By the way, I cannot stop staring at your eyebrows! They are prefect!! You are gorgeous and thank you again for sharing this video!
I've been noticing more lines under my eyes recently and having so many issues with my concealer creasing which has been driving me crazy. This has been so useful, thank you! 😊
Kyra, thank you. This is eure to make a difference for this. I have used concealers that were so off from the foundation family and they were darker. I know better, now ! Just this alone, will make a difference.
Another excellent tutorial...I love learning...That look up and set the eye, looks magical....I Can definitely tell the difference...Thank you for all the tips...You are the one who actually taught me how to pick my foundation with undertones and to choose my primers..I was doing it all wrong...So, THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️ But, I would still watch if you did a setting powder tutorial...I think a lot of us would benefit from the differences....I know I would...lol...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😀
Also, the way you explain all of this is really helpful. I have Attention Deficit and can be really hard for me to understand or follow. Its literally step by step and you explain in depth as you go. Thank you for this 🙏
You explain VERY well! When I know the why behind the what, I understand the process of what I’m doing!! Thanks! After years I now know I need a yellow based concealer, my skin has yellow undertones!
I'm so glad I found your video. Thank You! For this tutorial. I watch a ton of makeup videos and thus far this is the best one on explaining "how to" with makeup application. Thank you for taking your time to explain this to us newbies. 😊
Wow I feel like you go in such depth with your makeup tutorials I absolutely love it! I wish I would have found you sooner. I’ve tried sooo many videos & just couldn’t find one that would help me 😭 thank you so much!
Great video tutorial i am so glad you did this great education on how to properly apply and pick a concealer so tried of seeing wrong ways on RUclips thanks Kyra ☺⭐
Omg this is perfect. I have been looking for a video like this for so long. Idk why no other how to videos explain it as simple and easy as this 😂. Thank you so so so much
Thank you! I've been looking a messing full coverage makeup on with creasing under my eyes. I knew I was doing something wrong but I couldn't figure it out. Thank you so much.
my eyes tend to look like the DON'T as the day goes on.. I've tried with foundation underneath and without. one of my biggest problems is not only the crease it's my darker tint under my eyes so as the crease starts I get a raccoon look! ughh I need help! as a future esthetician I know what I should be doing with my skin and I'm trying to start making a change. but I know one of my biggest problems is the type of concealer.. any suggestions on who has the best full coverage concealer?
Kyra Knox (Please Read I think You Just Saved My Life) I haven't tried these things you speak of Goddess but I believe your video may have just saved my life relationship with applying makeup! Just listening to how you explained the don't side (what I've been doing my entire life *uninformed I always end up feeling worse about myself after applying makeup which shouldn't be the case* I tried just today to get "the loook" and failed miserably! -Literally gave up, was going to throw all of my makeup away when I get home.) *These feelings of defeat are not easy for me to deal with I have a fun list of chronic life lasting mental disorders, leaving me hating my appearance and not knowing who I am most all of the time also wanting to die most of the time because of it.. I have not found someone who could explain exactly what I'm doing wrong like you have the detail you use leaves me speechless (why hadn't anyone been explaining it to me like this before, I've kind of just been left to assume that this is how it's supposed to be done but I KNOW NOTHING JOHN SNOW 🌨️
Thank you so much for your insight on applying your makeup this helped me out a whole lot I feel a little better about applying my makeup on my face...🙏🏾😀
I completely agree with you about there not being a point choosing the right foundation and concealer shade to then cover them up with a tinted powder. Right now I use a color correcting pressed powder to set only bc love how portable it is for touch ups and it works just like a colorless powder. I will pick up the wet n' wild loose powder when I run out though bc I hear it's really good. I previously used Coty Airspun but it wasn't really translucent and I couldn't stand the smell after a while so I gave it away.
I am so glad I stumbled upon you! You’re education was needed in my life! I’ve watched about 4 videos in the last two hours 😅 I had a question for you, hoping to get your expertise! I have normal to dry skin and I’ve been using the Fenty hydration foundation, putting the kat von d shade + highlight pallet (just the banana color) under my eye and then setting it with hour glass translucent powder.. within an hour or two my bf brought to my attention that my face (under eyes) looked a little cakey. (Now the pallet and translucent are new for me) I did try the technic of yours to look up, but should I be using a concealer? Also I’m guessing the pallet isn’t a good combination bc or the cakeyness - should I use a cream highlight? I hope you can help! I appreciate this video a lot because your pointers really helped me, I’m going to implement it into my routine 💕 Hope you see this Much love xoxo B 💓
I’m going to try this and I’ll report back on how it went. I have that same concealer and I used to have the worst issues with it creasing. I’m going to try this with Laura mercier setting powder.
Awww thats what I forget to do! I dont look up. I have a stubborn line that get all the product so I actually put shadow under my eye to hide It cause it depresses me lol...whats so crazy is all the clients I've had HAVE NO UNDER EYE WRINKLES like there under eyes are mad smooth so I need to get better on myself so if I ever get a client like myself im prepared.

Amber Skye where do you buy your argan oil?
Cherae R I use 3 different brands. Foxbrim, Josie Maran and The Ordinarys. Foxbrim is my favorite I just never wanna wait for shipping
