@ By underlying numbers do you mean xG, passing, etc? Our xG hasn’t been terrible, but our xG against has been appalling. I’m pretty sure every team we’ve faced in our last five matches has had an xG of 2.0 or higher, which speaks volumes about how poor we’ve been defensively. Our attack has actually not been terrible, but I’m struggling to find one match which I can safely say we could’ve or should’ve gotten a result. Bournemouth outplayed us for 80 minutes, Sporting was a game of two halves in which they were far more clinical, same with Brighton, and 4-0 at home against any opponent is unacceptable.
I’m hoping that we go 20 games unbeaten again and win the title, but I will only start believing when I see a consistent improvement in our performances, especially defensively. And for that, I believe Pep will have to change his tactics so we aren’t relying too much on Rodri and focus on getting the basics right.

Ah man, Tottenham have been a team that have been a struggle for City for ages, even at times when they were at their ferocious best, and utterly unplayable for even the vest teams in the leage. City, that is, not Spurs.
The only reasonable explanation is that Spurs have a powerful Nyanga on their staff, but one who has a very narrow/specialised set of skills.
Either that, or Man City have done a hard-reset and gone back to factory settings. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️😲

Pepsi will make the rest of the league suffer 5 more years for this pain, this utter pain, but I have been spoiled by brilliant football through eras and I understand class is permanent, but a system change is needed. I’ve sat through each video of Tinashe suffering with United, I am in attendance for the recounting of these recent wounds. Also can NEVER go wrong with Football Iconic.

Physicality physicality physicality, and well drilled sides that are much closer in quality than people assume, covering up the gap in quality through sheer hard work of being well drilled athletic sides, even a struggling Ipswich is well drilled and athletic, and a slight drop or missing a few first choice players have made teams lose matches in Premiership this season. And it's not just a Premier League thing, even outside, the teams in Europe have also competed well by not shying away from being scrappy and organised.

4:00 Thanks for distinguishing between country- and nautical-miles... I mean, it´s already confusing enough for us, that you use imperial, but at least, this way, we have a better chance... ;-)
what´s wrong with Haaland? why so few offensive fouls from him? it´s the one thing he can, after all...

pep is terrible to his players. That's it. A vicious circle which makes City players afraid of making Pep angry. What is this high school in the 70's?

If City get found guilty, Pep is going to quit. I dont think this contract means anything regarding the law suit. What it could mean is that City are somewhat confident that even if they get found guilty, City will not be relegated.

City need to buy a need new starting CB and CDM, back up striker and give players like mcatee and echeverri a chance in that playmaker role. Probably a need a new winger too that shoot crosses and that isn’t scored to shoot for goal.

Let the other teams play with the number of injuries City has been struggling with, and they will be mid-table. Man City is in crisis with injuries but is still above Arsenal in the UCL and second in the PL.
