On Decolonizing AI Narratives

The lecture focuses on the stories related to AI, the need for their decolonization, its consequences, and the ways to accomplish it. The significance of investigating various local AI stories is highlighted. Kanta recommends her favorite selections of global science fiction stories that challenge the supremacy of Western, English-speaking science fiction.
Dr Kanta Dihal is Lecturer in Science Communication at Imperial College London. Her research explores how narratives shape the development and public understanding of artificial intelligence and quantum physics.
