Probé maxima velocidad con mi velocímetro nuevo y marcó 40 Km/h (25 millas/h) varias veces acelerando (!). No. Often misunderstood, voltage has nothing to do with the motor. This is a 2000w motor that just happens to come with a 48v kit i started with before I changed the battery and controller to 72v. A more ideal motor with the set up is a 3,000w my1020 though

    I'm guessing without a heat sink you're 100% going to smoke that motor, particularly without a temp sensor running a 14t (?) pinion. The heat sink from E&C is kind of pricy but well worth it.

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  Год назад +2

      Yes, likely will happen in the long run. I'm using a 13-tooth sprocket and the Kunray MY1020 has an internal fan and the end cap holes have all been drilled out for additional ventilation. Whenever it goes, I will simply just change out for the EC4P motor upgrade.

    • @helicrashpro

      @@PatOutdoors I only got to 44 MPH (flat strip) with a 14 tooth, surprising you hit 50 on a 13t. I was riding for about an hour and fried the motor with that setup. Kelly controller from E&C, Kunray MY1020 72v 3000W, street tires on stock rims, stock rear sprocket. FYI the MY1020 motor has no internal fan. I know because I have taken one apart. @@helicrashpro it actually has a lot to do with the overall diameter of my rear tire. I crammed a 10x3.5” rear tire (not recommended), so I get a slightly larger rolling distance from same motor RPM, slight cheat for top speed.

    What is the battery capacity? You said 20a but what does it mean when it says 100a or 150a , the Kelly controller can sustain 200a but does your 20a battery reach that power ?? Can you explain

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  Год назад +2

      The battery size is 20AH “amp hour”. The battery management system (bms) rated power output is 100 amp peak (short bursts), but can sustain 50 amp continuously. The controller is rated up to 200 amp, but will only deliver what the battery can provide.

      @@juvenalgonzalez782 100A peak, usually means around 50A continuous. 45A rated Controller would be fine. A 33A controller would restrict the amount of power output though.
