Patience….. The absolute hardest thing to learn and practice in bonsai. Thanks, keep growing

Once again a very useful video for us well meaning amateurs. I actually watched Ash combing out his Acer this morning.

Very informative as always, Adam. A useful reminder that as bonsai enthusiasts we have to play the long game! 👍

Hi Martin, thanks again for watching. Who knew bonsai would take so damn long! 😂👍

I really like that tree and I think that you made that point beautifully. I appreciate when something as intimidating as spending years to develop the radial, flat root base can be communicated in such clear terms. thank you for this video.

Great video Adam. I have found that I can develop the lateral roots very much quicker and avoid deep downward roots by growing Japanese maples is shallow baskets with lots of perforations and great aeration - a lot like shallow, wide pond baskets.

Great explanation about undercutting. I think sometimes we can often get to 'brave' with our root pruning in the early stages. I certainly lost two or three nice size starter maples tryig to get it all in one go! Thanks Adam.
