Thanks for touring expo with me! Let me know anything that stood out to you, if you were there or if you plan to go next year!
I was there with my dad just for fun. Now my uncle is mad he didn’t go so we are planning for Chicago next year.
Thanks for touring expo for me! 😊
Brian stood out!
6 hours !
Why did you only go for 6 hours?? I spent 3 days there and still didn’t get to experience all of it.
great video! Makes me feel a bit less bad about not being there in the flesh (just in the cardboard)
Haha you were missed. And I was hoping to sneak a video with the cardboard but this was filmed mostly end of day during comp and I believe someone moved you 🥲
That WDT tool from Weber Workshops definetely wins the prize for the most overpriced unnecessary piece of equipment. It's gonna make your coffee better by 0.5 percent and you pay $275/$475 for it. Thats just insane. The difference will be literally unnoticeable. If you make one coffee with $475 WDT tool and the other with $3 WDT tool, I can 100% guarantee that you won't consistently tell the coffees apart.
The lever machine without a lever was also a good one.
Yup, but i still love the design and wish someone (china) make some budget affordable replicas.
That immersion dripper looks really cool, like a switch with a shower screen and no pass through. I hope it’s not that expensive because I would love to test it out against the aeropress
yeah it's awesome and also the name, love it. Pulsar is a rotating neutron star that shoots out magnetic radiation with an absolutely astounding quantity of energy. Love it.
275 and 475 for a WDT tool... these guys are just plain crazy ;-)
there are companies in china coping them right now for 2.75 and 4.75
These are the guys who make the $50,000 stone burr grinder, remember. [See Lance's video.]
@@lizcademy4809 If you didn't get that Weber released the stone burr grinder on April 1st, then I don't know what to tell ya...
@@LuckyDragon289 Of course I know that, I knew it was a joke less than 5 minutes into the video.
I was just comparing the concept os spending close to US$500 for a WDT to an April Fool's joke ... both are absurd.
Love all the coffee gadgets on display. Fellow making a more user friendly brewista smart scale is super great. Big thing to note about flair is that with the neo flex coming out they are also discontinuing the standard neo along with the signature.
Great video Kyle! Thanks for sharing SCA for people who couldn't go! Especially love the Gagne bit, he's always so fun to hear speaking and geeking out about coffee products!
Gagne’s the GOAT
Fun to re-live this expo through this video. Thanks for putting it together Kyle:)
Thanks for watching!
Kyle, your smile at that video bomb made it so much better. I love your positive attitude :)
Hey this awesome! I'm not sure how you managed such good footage inspite of the chaos on the floor. Haha. It was great to finally meet you and hangout, albeit brief. Hope to see you again soon and good luck with September.
Thanks! I’m grateful for good cameramen, and I spent a decent time colour grading. So good meeting you too! Wished we had more time to chat.
NEXTLEVEL Pulsar looks awesome!
It’s very interesting. Jonathan had done some great work there!
Hey Kyle!! Thank you so much for bringing this to us!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching
WHAT A VIDEO! Even being there for three days, you showed me a few things that I didn't even get around to seeing. This coming year is going to be a super exciting one for specialty coffee gear!
And coffee! I got to cup and taste some unreal coffees at expo too.
That fellow scale has me pumped! Great timing too, I've been needing a new scale
I was totally at Expo but didn't have time to walk the floor - this was a super helpful recap! Thanks Kyle :)
Really cool video. Love seeing the products that are coming!
Same! Always loved these videos as a viewer over the years
Thanks Kyle! Thanks for the interview! Thanks for everything!
Thanks for having me!
Appreciate the exposure good sir. Loving the Webber new tool.
Enjoy!
I wished this video never ends ! Thanks 🙏
I’m glad! Thanks for watching
Awesome video! Thanks so much! Going to an SCA Expo is now officially one of my life goals.
Hope to see you there!
So many things to look forward to. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks so much, Kyle. Really appreciate the summary. Looks like an amazing conference this year. Very excited to see where this industry is going.
You’re very welcome!
So awesome to see you all there in this video ❤❤❤
Agreed! Shoutouts to Emilee Bryant, Softpourn and the boys from Mirror Coffee Roasters who helped make this video possible!
Kyle, I appreciate the time and effort making this video! I am planning to attend the Expo this year in Chicago for my first time. My main objective is to do some more research in person and make a final decision on a grinder as I plan to purchase my first espresso machine and grinder. I have done extensive research, but with ALL of the options for grinders on the market right now and with a decent budget being spent, I really want to make sure I make the right choice. Obviously, with Travel Expenses and Entry, I am increasing the overall cost of my purchases, but with taking a new interest in coffee and espresso, I thought this would be an enjoyable event to experience and learn more as I put together my first setup. I am trying to plan travel and stay arrangments, and now that you understand my intent, would you mind telling me how much time/day passes you think I would need to attend the event and shop the booths without taking time to attend extra classes and seminars etc. ?
Thanks for getting all the content in a hurry! So great to see all the upcoming, feel like I got to visit the expo
So glad you felt that way. Thanks for watching
Such a fun show, and it was great to meet you in person.
Thanks for saying hi!
See ya next year! Great quick recap Kyle
Thank you!
Great video as always! Really excited about the Pulsar. Looks like a really cool brewer!
Agreed!
Great video. Thanks Kyle!
My pleasure
Thanks for the tour Kyle!
Thanks for watching!
I’m most intrigued with that Nextlevel Pulsar dripper! Got on the waiting list for it 👊🏼
I’m excited to make a video on it
Thanks Kyle! great video as always.
Thanks!
Really love the quick format of the video - amazing summary
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great recap video!!
You’re welcome!
Amazing video Kyle. Thank you 😉
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking us on the walk around. Love Third Wave Water, went with it on your recommendation.
It’s an easy solution 🙏
Absolutely loved this video Kyle. The Aries and Ratio 4 really piqued my interest - my first time seeing either. Content like this is super fun and interesting for us coffee hobbyists. Thank you!
My pleasure!
Kyle! This came out so awesome!
Dude, thank YOU for filming this 🙏🙏
With my French press and specialty coffee bag I will be just fine.
Thanks Kyle! This is was my first time hearing about all these products, except the Ratio 4. The Next Level Pulsar is my type of thing!
So cool isn’t it?
Great video. A lot of cool stuff.
Thanks for watching
As a watchmaker, I can appreciate the Weber Moonraker. It's gorgeous. I might buy it even though I don't do espresso at home.
Looks like fun fun fun :)
5:46 my distribution tool is a paper clip with one arm bent down. works great
Great video and cool products. Pulsar seems very similar to a clever dripper in terms of steeping the coffee before allowing for flow.
Yeah I’m excited about the pulsar
Appreciate you sharing the experience with those of us who couldn't get there! Legend!
My pleasure!
Thank you for this great summary! It was a pleasure to briefly meet you in person! ☕️🙌🏼✨
Thanks for saying hi!
Also love the September sweatshirt!
Thanks!
Hey Kyle loved your video and thanks so much for bringing such cool advancements in coffee to us! What are you personally most excited about!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Good thing you are back man!
I’ve been back! The algo doesn’t seem to want to admit it! Ha
My WDT tool cost 37 cents. That moonraker had me drooling but the price shocked me. I can understand it but damn I’ll be sticking with my cork and accu needles.
It’s not a price point for everyone.
Im getting it for the engineering and the aesthetic
just the look worth every penny.
Agree it looks like a cool piece of engineering but remember its not going to make better coffee. Stick with the acupuncture needles in the corkscrew
Yeah, coffee-heads are so easy to milk
Love the passion ❤️ 👍 🔥
Thanks!
Coffee milk shake👍❤❤
Great video 😊
Thanks!
Thanks for your channel brother
My pleasure
I would love to get your take or a review on the meticulous home! Seems so innovative
The ionizer looks cool!
Yeah very neat.
Happy to see the newest gadget. Nice video
thanks for watching
Interesting stuff! And well done in just 6 hours of being there :D
It was a MISSION.
I'm a maximum espresso geek, but that moon-raking WDT gizmo is a chindōgu 🤣
Wow. I love that you were able to fit J Gagne in. Great peak at their new device. And what a crazy, smart human!
Yeah he’s amazing
Great coverage, Kyle! Thanks! I'm a huge Fellow fan, so can't wait for the scale to release in Europe :) Were there any amazing pour over innovations you've seen that didn't make the edit?
Thanks for sharing, keen on hearing your thoughts on the Argos?
It looks very nice. I got to see it and excited to see more of it in the near future
Thanks. Did you see any new home coffee roasters?
Hi Kyle, this is awesome! Thanks for a great video. By any chance did Ratio say when the Four will be in production?
They did not
The ratio 4 sounds very intriguing!
agreed!
The pulsar is sooo cool ngl.
Very cool
Next Level Brewer looks amazing if I could get it and more importantly the filters easily enough where I am (Korea shop exists for Asia but shipping from that region is about the same as from the States)
I love that all coffee lovers, we are a big family!!!
Fam jam
Hi Kyle, this is awesome. Question. Can you compare niche duo with eureka oro mignon? A lot of my community is talking about them and I would appreciate difference in clarity taste and smoothness like in niche zero
NICE sharing my dear HAVE a GREAT day STAY Connect
Exactly the video I was looking for! You and all the demonstrators managed to get a ton of information into this video - great interviewing and editing skill.
Even if I wouldn't necessarily buy some of these products today - it is super fun to see so much innovation going on - thank you for showcasing all of this.
I absolutely can NOT wait for the Next Level Pulsar to be available. I have been dreaming of this exact product for years - I am surprised it has taken this long for something like it to come to market but I am sure the engineering and design behind the scenes is not that simple.
Really appreciate that and thanks for watching. Anything else that stood out to you?
@@KyleRowsell Honestly the video quality! Great job.
The meticulous looks amazing too.
The Weber Moonraker looks beatiful for those who have the money to spare - I am sure it will also inspire similar designs *cough knockoffs* in the future that will be more accessible.
What was your favourite new product?
Great video! The deionizer looks interesting. No one from timemore there?
Timemore was there! Nothing new I haven’t covered in other videos.
Meticulous ❤
It’s a beauty!
Thanks for scoping out the expo for us! Super interested in the Fellow scale. Also I think Gangé just sold me on that next level brewer 😅
It’s wild right?
@@KyleRowsell the use I envisioned was being able to do Hoffmann's French press in it so that it gets filtered at the end. I always feel tempted to pass that brew through a filter at the end to clean it up a bit but it feels troublesome adding a dripper.
I'm sure there's even more to try out, what with his long blooms and everything. Interesting stuff!
The ratio 4 is exciting. Hopefully we get more info soon
Agreed
Wait, this is like shot show but for coffee. Who knew. Neat.
Now you know!
We did it 😂
You did what?
Ooooo gadgets! Love the video, lots of interesting stuff . what did you think of the meticulous, did you get to see it working or get a go?
Love it. Stoked to get my hands on one
Would love to see a review of the flair neo flex. Amazing price point with both basket types, as spec’ing up the standard Neo makes it much more expensive. But not sure of the durability of the plastic.
The durability should be fine. The team at flair has always proven to make quality products. But we shall see!
nice
Tally looks sick.
Oh my fucking GAWD! I can not wait to buy a Weber Moonraker Ultra! July can’t come soon enough! 😍😍😍
A wild Brian Quan appears! Curious about the pricing of the Aries.. would love to see some reviews. Lovely to see the meticulous shoutout too. Can’t wait to get mine!
All great appearances!
How cool i wish I could have met you. I posted a pic with Nick in the group.
I would have loved to meet you too!
Did you check out the Zerno grinder? If so, any thoughts on it?
I did and have one on route to the studio 🙏
oh man, i want that new next level dripper.
Right?
Have you picked up a pulsar brewer now that it's released, and if so, would you make a video on brewing with it?
Yes
When is a new Acaia Lunar coming out?!
Does the fellow scale look like it’ll fit flair58?
No I don’t think it will
Cant wait for Pulsar VS Switch !
Yea!
does the fellow scale show flow rate?
Great video! Sorry I didn’t bump into you at all! Missed all sorts of folks and booths!
I missed many too my friend. I was filming like a mad man. Next year I’ll take my time and hopefully see you there?
@@KyleRowsell for sure. Let’s make it happen!
Finally another big burr single dose grinder. I hope it is good. Do you know what price are they targetting? I whant to upgrade my specialita 55 and thinking of 078S or DF83 v2 for Espresso but maybe big conical like Hedone Honne is better?
Lots of options! The 078s is great
@@KyleRowsell big conical doesn't have many options though besides Hedone Honne there is Kafatek, Key, Vario and they are 2k and over.
That mic you're using is most excellent.
Thanks!!
Do you know the price on the Fellows scale? Very interested in purchasing that when it comes out
At 1:51 you can see $185 on the placard.
@@mchasal thank you!!! I missed it probably because I was watching on my phone
Gagné clearly has never heard of the $20 clever dripper that does the same exact thing. Or just a Hario Switch. So many coffee products now are just 10x more expensive versions of old coffee products that do the same exact thing.
Dang... was hoping to see the Odyssey Espresso machine.
Was hoping to cover it!
Hey Kyle should of checked the timemore stand
I did! But they didn’t have anything I haven’t already covered on the channel!
that scale is interesting, how much? though seems to be massive, probably won't work for espresso?
It's a filter scale
