Live Service is all I need to hear to no longer trust modern games/gaming post-2019 and onwards. It is a damn shame that even the likes of Polyphony Digital can pull an EA or Ubisoft and will more likely to continue as long as money is literally on the line. I'm currently playing GT1 through GT4 on my PS2 (and GT5 Prolouge and GT5 on a lesser extent on my jailbroken modded PS3 I got just recently) reminds me of how there was a golden age of gaming in general back in the day and nowadays I can't help but to feel in constant pessimism and distrust in most of newly released games because stuff like what PD and Sony are doing that is beyond deplorable.
It’s even worse when you consider that screwing over customers for profits is THE LEAST of the game industry’s abuse since employees at several of these companies are worked to the bone with low pay and the constant threat of having their career ruined if they don’t fall into line and crunch (Cd Projekt, Rockstar, and Naughty Dog have all been in hot water for this). This is even before mentioning thy physical and sexual abuse committed on subordinates by executives at these companies (like in the Ubisoft apology referenced in this very video)
They'll push as much as they can to see what they can get away with. That has been happening for more than a decade. Gaming companies seem to encroatch closer to their end goal with each occurrence like this, regardless of which company. Ultimatley they want to monetize each and every player in any way possible. Every cent counts. Videos like this are justified and much needed by gamers who truly care about their experiences and most importantly respect of their time and money spent.
@@dankswank9088, you're welcome. I just discovered your channel today. I subscribed as soon as I finished the first video about Forza Horizon 5. You have come out of the gates with excellent quality as well as good points to create fruitful conversation after the fact. I look forward to your forthcoming content as well as checking out your back catalog.
Wanna be sorry? Then remove the DRM and make the game fully offline. If thats not possible, then too bad. Apology not accepted sony. Ill take my money elsewhere.
Gotta love these "And I would have gotten away with it to! If it wasn't for you meddling kids" apologies corporations pull when it's time to damage control.
It’s always some variant on “we’re sorry you did not appreciate our actions and we are working to correct this mistake” as if they weren’t intending to do exactly what they did and people are wrong for feeling upset about the messed-up thing they intended to do
I 1 million percent agree with you Dank, but alas enough people out there will purchase the in store credits to justify SONY's implementation of them. It won't stop, it's just too late now. This should have been deal with 15 years ago.
Hey man. Do you think it is worth it to upgrade to ps5 just for Test drive. Are there maybe any other games that are better.I would easily buy a xbox series X If it has a japan location for forza. It was convenient for test drive to come out on ps4 because it doesn't have forza but now they canceled last Gen consols. Any advice?
Honestly, you should wait it out. We've barely seen concept art for the new TDU, much less any actual gameplay, and while the game is in fairly capable hands, it's hard to know what the quality of the game will be until it's actually out. Besides, by the time the game is available, a PS5 or Series X might actually be somewhat affordable! TLDR Unless there is a console exclusive game out right now that you simply have to play, we think you should wait until the new TDU is actually on store shelves before making a decision.

@@dankswank9088 I just followd you on Twitter as well.
I can play a game with micros but I can't play a game that won't work if Sony says it won't work.
DRM needs to go - permanently. Well done, Dank!
Thank you

Let’s hope Forza 8 doesn’t suck
You said it, good game gone bad. My copy is a paper weight now. Sad
Polyphony have taken a leaf out of the Boris Johnson book of how to apologise without actually apologising!
So glad I didn't buy this trash. Looking more and more like a dumpster fire.
And I said in your last GT7 video. I still won’t buy the game.
Good
That 87 on Metacritic for Gran Turismo 7: is the Fact of Bias Sony enjoys from The Biased Media and RUclipsrs.
I take it back. This game is awful and this comes from a GT fan since the early ps2 days. I’m just glad I didn’t waste money on a ps5 or the game
same
Dank Swank slapped Polyphony and Sony with facts and logic harder than Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars last night
With better justification, too

Can't wait to see the video about the Xbox situation.
That's gonna end up being a much longer video
Are there any news about your fh 5 review?
We’re still working on it. Sorry we haven’t given an update in a while; we’ll explain a bit more about how things are going in a post.
